Germination

I’m continuing my small hunt for amazing strains to cross with for my liking. I will grow all three of these and take clones from each once I start flowering. The best one will be kept. It’s much colder here and even with a heat mat, the seedlings took about 4 days to sprout up and out of the dirt. I mixed 50% Happy Frog Soil, 25% Worm Castings and 25% Peralite.

Well like usual the first weeks are just boring with nothing much to show. They are defiantly taking off and looking happy. I bit more extended then I would like but I will burry it down more at transplant. Just giving straight RO water pHed to 6.3 and only watered once. Going to turn the light up another 10% to hopefully stop the stretching.

Growing very good. Watered twice this week because they are drying out a bit faster due to me hitting them with more airflower to strengthen them up. Still watering with straight water. My plan is to only use straight water for the first month. Possibly start adding in some CalMag in week 4. Transplanted at the end of week 2 into a 5 gallon fabric pot and then 2 gallon plastic pots. I want to see if there is any difference between the two pots. Pots were filled up roughly 3/4 the way with plans to add more soil before flower with a top dress of organic fertilizers. Transplant was easy like usual because the trick is to make a hole using the same size container so they just fill right in. I spread mykos and Azos in the hole for transplant to get it directly into the root zone.

Straight pH water again this week. Plants have responded well to the transplant. Nothing has been done to them this week at all which is nice to be so hands off. I will be away for over a week so I set up a watering system with a Kasa WiFi outlet to water remote while I’m away.

Went away for 10 days and these plants exploded with growth. I watered in very well with pHed water before I left. I set up a watering system with 5 gallons of pHed water and hooked it up to a WiFi outlet. I was able to water twice while I was away using this. Obviously nothing bad happened while I was away. I HAD to top these girls because I never thought they would have grown so much in a week. Unfortunately, i usually do not top right before I switch to flower but i did the day I switched because i need to control the height. Still no nutrients thus far. Will amend the soil with a flower booster next week.

First week since I switched to 12-12. Looks like one pheno is defiantly going to be taller. The taller one has some way to much node spacing so far but it is the best grower. Still just straight pH water up to this point. I’m adding Gaia Green Power Bloom and Pete to the top 2” of soil this week. Then I’m adding mulch on top the keep it wet. Trying not to use any salt nutrients this grow. Let’s hope the stretch isn’t too bad because I only have about 16 inches left for the light to move up.

Had to add some liquid nutrients this week. They were starting to show some signs. Haven’t added nutrients this whole time. I re amended the soil with some Gaia Green Power Bloom at recommended rate. Added that in with some fresh soil to the top 2” of the pot then added about 1.5” of mulch to keep it moist. I should have amended the soil two weeks ago but I was very busy and pushed it off. Either way, they have now bounced back and are looking nice and lush green. One plant has stretched way more than what I like and is notably different from the other. Probably will have to pull down some branches. Took a few leaves off that were covering up branches and then cleared the bottom 1/4 of the plants for airflow.

Why can’t I post photos to meme contest? It’s not showing a bunch of my memes.

If you have already entered a week. That week is void. This might be the issue . Make a new week or add it to a diary. It doesn't have to be a meme diary. Just a diary.. Give this a go..

Plants have rebounded very well giving them a quick boost of nutrients. It’s looking like the amendments are kicking in now as well. Just giving them a little CalMag this week. It’s looking like I will only have one purple plant out of the three. No signs of purple on two so far. The uniformity is amazing. The growth looks like they have been grown as clones. Very nice plant structure. Took off all the big fan leaves. Will be doing a heavy defoliation next week.

Well I ended up having to break down my grow this week. Long story but I took some clones of these to do again in a few months. Sucks big time but only a minor setback. This was the last pictures I have of the grow before I chopped them down to break down the tent.
