Grow Dots - Real Growers
Grow Dots 3.91 mll
11/3/2024 - Everything seems to be going smoothly. All three plants are growing and look healthy. The Mystery Seed has some kind of anomaly on its cotyledon leaves but the fan leaves are out and look healthy so I think its going to be good to go. Other than that, I gave them 750ml each and in a couple days they'll get their first shot of Recharge. To me everything is going to plan so far. Have also adjusted lighting to 380-400 PPFD after they have their first nodes I'll bump this up closer to 600 for Veg. 11/1/2024 - Feeling good about how things are going this time around. After quick germinations for two of the three seeds, the frosted cherry o's I had to throw out and start a new one but this time a success. Otherwise, the frosted cherry o's are about 16 hours behind the granite runtz and mystery seed. I'm really looking forward to watching these plants grow. I feel confident I've got a working watering schedule now and I'm excited to see what the Grow Dots do for this round. I watered all three plants with 500ml of water PH'd to 6.5. That is all for today. 10/28/2024 - I've learned quite a bit from my less than stellar first grow. It is my opinion that I severely under-watered these plants throughout the grow and stunted their potential. I also waited too long to start top dressing these plants and therefore the plants in the first grow also had poor nutrients throughout the grow. Despite that, one plant survived in good'ish shape and should result in a couple ounces of good weed. That said, this time around will be completely different. I reorganized my grow room making more room for working in there. Additionally, I hooked up hose in the adjacent shower so I have easier access to water, I moved a stand up table/bench to work at while I'm tending plants, I decided to introduce "Grow Dots" as the primary source of nutrition throughout the grow. Mostly I'm trying to simplify this grow. I'm paying far greater attention to PH, greater attention to how often I water, and am going to introduce CO2 as soon as plants get past seedling stage. So lets get into it. I thoroughly mixed a full bag of Ocean Forest soil with a full bag of Happy Frog. In general, I think this is a good growing medium that should give my seedlings a good start. In this grow I'm going to grow three plants, each in a 5 Gallon fabric pot. Each 5 Gallon pot will receive 15 tsp (100grams) of Grow Dots, mixed thoroughly into the mixed soil. The top two inches of soil will be added without these Grow Dots in an attempt to not over stimulate the seeds. After week one and once the seeds have breached the surface, I'll begin watering with "Recharge" every 7 days. For the first week, I'll be using a spray bottle to wet the soil on top and ensure that the seeds pop and get their tap roots moving through the soil. I'll be lowering the lighting to around 100-300Par at the seedlings and running humidity up around 60%-70%. These plants will be on a strict 18/6 lighting schedule throughout the grow and I'll be aiming for the following Par levels. Seedlings - 100-300 PPFD Veg - 250-600 PPFD Flower - 600-1000 PPFD Once everything pops and I feel the seedlings are growing, I'll make some adjustments to all my numbers and continue on logging out here.

11-5-2024 - This morning on Election Day, all three plants received their first dose of Recharge and 750ml's of water PH'd to 6.5. I've got the lights at 70% and approximately 30 inches away from the plant tops. Photone is giving me around a 570 PPFD. RH in the tent is at 60% and my temps are around 78F. I feel as though the conditions in the tent are ideal right now. CO2 levels hover between 800-1200PPM but I expect that number to be more steady in a couple weeks after the Exhale bag gets going. I'd like to see the CO2 at 1200-1400 all the time so I can ramp up lighting. Not detecting any pests or problems with any of the plants. I'm sticking to my water and PAR schedules and am going to let the Grow Dots do their job. Next couple of weeks will mostly be pictures as these plants fill out a bit. Hopefully they will not go into flower until at least week 4...but hoping I can keep them vegging through week 4 and maybe into week 5. Wish me luck! 11-7-2024 - Watered each plant with 750ml's dechlorinated tap water PH'd to 6.5. Temps have been rising in the tent and its getting difficult to keep below 80F. I have added a dehumidifier outside of the tent to try and control this a bit. Leaves have started to recover as well and are getting greener. I suspect the roots have not gotten into the Grow Dots part of the soil and are up-taking some nutrients. 11-9-2024 - Was going to water this morning but the soil is still moist below the surface. I backed the lights down to 60% as I was getting PPFD readings over 650 at the tops of the plants. I raised the lights slightly and turned them down. This gives me 550'ish readings which I think is fine for now. Until I see more CO2 consistently I'm going to be careful with over-lighting these young plants. Otherwise everything looks great! The Frosted Cherry O's are a little behind due to being planted about a day after the first two. I will feed tomorrow morning which will be the last feeding before week 2 of veg starts. I feel very confident this time around that at the very least I've got a good feel for watering these guys. Looking forward to doing a little LST/leaf tucking as they start to stretch out. 11-10-2024 - Watered each plant with 1000ml's dechlorinated tap water PH'd to 6.5. Conditions in the tent continue to stabilize. I think I have the moisture and temp problems under control for now. At the start of Week 2 of Veg I'll be watering 1000ml's and will also be giving the second dose of Recharge. So far, having a true schedule to my nutrient feedings and watering have been confidence inspiring. No matter the outcome, this grow is going a million times better than the last time.

11-12-2024 - All things continue to go well with this grow. This morning the girls were fed 1000ml of water each along with ReCharge & Silica Boost. I'm continuously amazed that all these plants are thriving with the simple application of Grow Dots into the soil. This feeding schedule seems too easy but I'm committed to sticking with the program. This week as the plants grow up to their 4th nodes I'll begin LST and on the Mystery Seed I'm going to top that plant just because I want to see what happens. The other two known strains will be left to LST only and some leaf tucking. I'll post pictures as that happens. Other than that, its more of just monitoring and listening to what the plants want. From what I can tell right now...just keep them watered and let them thrive. 11-14-2024 - Continue to be impressed with the Grow Dots / Recharge method. All three plants look very healthy and are growing strong. This week I started adding silica to my PH'd water which should strengthen the plants. I was going to water today but the soil is still moist so I'll hold off until tomorrow. I do think I'm going to Top the "Mystery Seed" plant because I'm just very curious what will happen. I think if I'm going to do it, this week is the time to do it. I'm going to do LST across the board starting tomorrow. I'm a little nervous about this but I have to learn this stuff. 11-18-2024 - Nothing much to report other than the plants are all doing very well to my eye. They are getting very thick and starting to stretch upwards. My expectation is that over the next 7-10 days they'll flip into flower and really start growing towards the lights. I'm maintaining about a 18 inch gap from lights to canopy, recharge once a week along with silica. The Grow Dots are doing amazing so far but their true test is how the plants do through flower which we're getting close to. Minor LST to a couple plants, the Mystery Seed has gotten topped and has recovered. All of them are growing strongly IMO. More later.

11-19-2024 - Starting week 4 (veg wk 3) and everything seems to be going extremely well. Where my inexperience is kicking in is not really knowing which leaves are safe to remove but I'm working on it. I have a fair bit of tucking and defoliation to do over the next couple days as I'm expecting these plants to stretch pretty good this week and possibly go into flower. Since there isn't anything I can do to prevent them from going into flower I think its best to plan as if they will. Regardless, these plants are now getting 1500mililiters of PH 6.5 water every couple days and once a week I'm feeding with Recharge and a Silica additive. There isn't any blemishing on any of the leaves on any of the plants. They seem to take whatever I throw at them and I have to believe that Grow Dots is the main culprit here. So far I'm a believer in Grow Dots and Recharge. Assuming I get to harvest and the yields are good, this is such a simple formula and this is how I'll grow from here on out. Wouldn't make sense to change it in my mind. From here on out, I'm going to be just trying to get this defoliation done and not kill the plants doing it. I want the plant to be focused on flower production when its time so I'm trying to strategically plant my cuts going forward. The tent and equipment is holding up beautifully and I think next grow I'm just going to focus on two plants. Ultimately, I would like to get down to one plant and reliably get a pound of dry out of each one I plant. Still testing genetics but so far SpeedRun Seeds is proving to be a very good breeder. 11-21-2024 - The plants are now starting to stretch up. This morning I gave each plant 1500ml of dechlorinated tap water PH'd to 6.5. Starting in a few days I'll be upping the quantity to 2 liters per plant every other day as they transition to flower. Right now my lights are at about 20 inches away and at 50-60% giving me a PPFD of 550 or so across the top of the canopy. I'll be upping this to around 1000 PPFD when I'm sure they're in flower. At this point its just a matter of time before they flower and I'm anxious to see how the branches turn out. All my focus will be on growing as dense a bud as possible on each plant. 11-22-2023 - Not much to report today other than all is continuing to go well. My expectation is that the girls will go into flower any day now and I'm ready for the transition heading into week 5. Also posting some additional pics.

11-25-2024 - All three plants received 2000ml PH'd tap water with a dose of Recharge and Silica yesterday. These plants are in full on stretch mode now and they're growing rapidly. These three plants are already as tall as the last grow I had and we're not even into flower yet. My expectation is this week all three plants will go into flower. I'm seeing pre-flower on two of the three plants and would expect that all three will have signs by end of tomorrow. The Mystery Seed continues to be pushed in ways the other two have not. I top dressed the Mystery seed yesterday with 3 Tbsp Gaia Green Power Bloom and we'll see if that makes a difference or kills the plant. I suspect it'll be ok. If I do not detect any burning I'll probably treat all three with power bloom next week. Otherwise, things have been going exactly to plan. There are no blemishes on the leaves and they've been maintaining a healthy green throughout the grow. I'm going to be watering a little more frequently as we get fully into flower AND I'll be ramping up the lighting in the tent to between 600-700PPFD. Should top out between 900-1000PPFD within the next couple weeks. 11-27-2024 - At this point I'm the big worry for these plants going forward as I have a hard time not messing with them. Since these are Autos, I'm only performing necessary defoliation to expose bud sites. As these girls head into flower I want to make sure I have light getting to as many as possible. These plants look very healthy and two of three are in pre-flower while the "Mystery" seed continues to stay in veg but is also an inch or two shorter than the other two plants....and has been topped. All three plants right now are as tall as the last three plants when I harvested so I consider this a good sign. Happy Thanksgiving!! 11-28-2024 - Happy Thanksgiving. Today I'm thankful for sites like this where I've learned so much. This morning, my CO2 levels finally are getting over 1000ppm which can only mean that the exhale bag is working now....took about 3.5 weeks. This morning I watered all three plants each with 2 Liters of dechlorinated tap water PH'd to 6.5. My tent conditions are OPTIMAL @ 75F/60%RH/1.1VPD/1000PPM CO2 and PPFD readings at the top of the canopy at 650 or so. The plants are growing vigorously now and are getting ready to go into full flower. I would expect flower sites throughout by the start of week 6 if not sooner. Its flower time! 11-29-2024 - Plants grew over an inch since yesterday and all three are stretching nicely. The Mystery Seed, which I topped, is a couple inches shorter but coming along nicely. All three are healthy, no bugs, no signs of anything except health. The conditions in the tent are still perfect and I'm feeling very confident in a good harvest. 11-30-2024 - Bumped up the lights this morning to 70% which should yield around 700-750 PPFD. Watered Granite Runtz and Frosted Cherry O's 2 liters each but the Mystery Seed was still a little wet so I'll water that one tomorrow. Its still not in flower so water uptake is a little less. CO2 levels continue to hover around 1000ppm and I've bumped the humidity down to around 50-54% since they're heading into flower. I also top dressed both the Granite Runtz and Frosted Cherry O's with Gaia Green Power Bloom.

12/2/2024 - Starting this post a little early since it doesn't start until tomorrow. That said, two of the three plants are in flower while the Mystery Seed remains in Veg. I would expect it to transition and stretch over the next day or two. The other two plants (Granite Runtz & Frosted Cherry O's) are growing/stretching rapidly easily putting on 1-3 inches of growth per day. I have decided to top dress throughout flower with Gaia Green Power Bloom. I'm just a little leary of the Grow Dots fizzling out towards the end so I'm going to use a slow release organic to top dress with high in Phosphorous. These plants couldn't look any better and now my focus will turn to caring for all the bud sites and making sure each nug gets plump and dense and as big as it can get. I'm banking on a 1lb crop total from these three plants. 12/3/2024 - Ok we're into week 6 now and two of the plants are well into flower and the Mystery Seed is showing pre-flower now and is stretching out. I expect it to catch up with the other two in the next few days. Everything is going extremely well and I couldn't be happier. This morning I fed all three plants with Recharge and Silica along with 2 liters of water PH'd to 6.5. I think watering is going to increase a bit still from here but I'm paying very close attention to moisture in the soil. I've got PPFD readings up near 850-900 across the canopy and with the addition of side lights I'm hoping that I can get some deeper penetration to some of the lower branches. I continue to build out my toolkit for future grows. 12/4/2024 - Probably my last post for this week unless something spectacular happens. Everything is going very well though I found a few rust spots on one leaf which I removed from the Frosted Cherry O's...nothing I'm too concerned about at this point. Overall things are going extremely well and the plants are growing beyond my expectations. Looking forward to the coming weeks as the buds start to develop.

12-9-2024 - Again, starting the week a day early but it was time to feed so it is what it is. This morning, all three plants received 3 Liters of water PH'd to 6.5, dose of Recharge, dose of Silica, and a dose of Sweet Berry. Next Tuesday I will top dress all three with Power Bloom and that will be the last time I top dress these plants. From there forward its just going to be recharge and sweet berry to try and finish these out strong. The plants are looking very healthy, they're drinking over a half gallon of water per day at this rate and so my expectations are that the buds are going to start putting on size over the coming weeks. I feel like I'm past the hard parts now and looking forward to watching these plants mature. Pretty much just watching them closely, they have the size I wanted so now its just a matter of getting the flowers to harvest without botching them up. 12-10-2024 - Did some pretty heavy defoliation due to it being so cramped in the 3x3. Should have gone with 2 plants but it is what it is. Plants continue to stretch slowly and they are now 26 inches tall. There are so many bud sites all over these plants its hard to believe that they'll all make it through to harvest. I'm growing concerned about how tight its getting in the tent. Other than that, the girls are very thirsty and are now going through almost a gallon of water per day. Looking forward to seeing the buds fatten up over the coming weeks. 12-11-2024 - Today I realized that despite my best efforts I'm going to have to change the watering schedule. This week I've been watering 3 Liters every other day....I think I'm going to go to 2 Liters every day since they are drinking so much. Also today I top dressed all three plants with some Power Bloom (2-8-4) and this will be the last time I top dress for the rest of the run. I gave them a little bit of Sweet Berry today as well. Going into week 8 I'll stick to Recharge, Silica and Sweet Berry until January when I'll start water only until they're done. Fingers crossed, just gotta get them to the finish line at this point. 12-13-2024 - Almost through 7 weeks since planting. These plants continue to amaze me compared to my first run. They are literally bursting out of the tent now. Flower development continues to go well and they are drinking 2 Liters of water per day. Tent conditions are perfect running a VPD ~ 1.3-1.4, RH at 55% and temps at 75F consistently. Will only use Recharge and Sweet Berry the rest of the run, Grow Dots and top dressing with Power Bloom seem to be impacting well. More next week!

12-16-2024 - Plants continue to do well. Found some rust spots on several of the leaves for the Granite Runtz...could be a bit of over-feeding as I top dressed recently despite being on Grow Dots...not too worried about it though. These guys are drinking like crazy so there is plenty of time between feedings where they're getting a little flush action. I'm going to guess that we're about 3-5 weeks out from chopping these down and I'm impressed with their size so far. Now I'm really just waiting for the buds to continue developing and see what kind of size we can put on these gals. This grow has gone unbelievably well and I feel like I have the tent dialed in pretty good. More to come! 12-17-2024 - Well this morning the girls got a bath in Recharge and Sweet Berry. They were very thirsty! The nuggs on these plants are getting massive and I'm expecting to see branches start to struggle to carry the load. At this point I'd say they're probably 3-4 weeks out from chop...but that is a very loose estimate. I'll keep a close eye on them as we go. Having so much fun watching these girls grow huge. CANNOT wait to weigh these things dry. I really think I'm gonna be close to a pound with this tent. 12-19-2024 - Got some nutrient burn going on with the Granite Runtz...just the top leaves and other than some orange speckles on the leaves the flowers look good and overall the plant looks healthy. The GR's have by far the thickest/most dense flowers of the three. The Frosted Cherry O's look very balanced and is the most attractive plant in the tent. The Mystery Seed, which is the only one I topped, is just growing in every direction and has tons of flowers but is clearly behind the rest in terms of maturity. I'd say in a few days to a week it'll be much thicker. Today I watered each plant with 3 Liters of dechlorinated tap water PH'd to 6.5. I'll take a look at them on Saturday morning and see how dry they are. Basically they're drinking a half gallon of water per day. Probably 4 weeks out from harvest is my best guess right now.

12-23-2024 - Starting a new week and the plants are starting to mature nicely. I've clearly burned the Granite Runtz and I'm seeing signs of nute burn on a few other leaves as well. Not much I can do at this point other than water and keep them hydrated. The Granite Runtz and Frosted Cherry O's are a few days ahead of the Mystery Seed and the main colas look about done stacking and now are just taking on size. Have a couple branches that are starting to be weighed down by the colas. This morning all three plants received water PH'd to 6.5, Recharge, Silica & Sweet Berry. Every day going forward I'll be checking these gals for trichome status and just keeping them watered. I'd say we're within a couple weeks now of at least one of them finishing. 12-25-2024 - Merry Christmas! Everything is looking pretty good and the plants are in the final stretch. Still contending with some nutrient burn especially on the Granite Runtz but at this point all I can do is keep them watered and wait and see how it all turns out. I dont think its going to impact them much at this point. Fed the girls this morning with 3 liters each of dechlorinated tap water PH'd to 6.5. I expect these to finish within the next two to three weeks. Wish me luck!! 12-27-2024 - Just a quick update on Trichomes. I scoped the Granite Runtz since its the most mature of the three. Looks to me that they are still a couple weeks out. I'm going to start water only on Monday or the start of week 10. I think they'll be finishing right around the 11 week mark. Let me know if you have a different opinion.

12-30-2024 - Last entry of 2024 as we head into the new year. While I think I've burned the crap out of a lot of the fan leaves...overall the plants look healthy as they head into fade. Despite the nutrient burn, the buds themselves look in good shape and everything is frosted up nicely. My buds themselves are pretty dense and IMO pretty good sized. I would not be shocked to be at close to a pound when all is said and done with these three plants. I'm looking to harvest the second week of January but I'll keep checking trichomes to make sure I cut down at the right time. Overall this has been a very satisfying grow compared to my first one. 1-1-2025 - First entry of 2025. Happy New Year! Today is day 65 since sprout and we're officially in the harvest window. Speedrun Seeds say that these should finish between 65-75 days and I think they're right on the button. Still have quite a bit of clear trichomes but they are getting milky and i'm seeing some amber now. I will leave them in the tent for at least another week but I think that by next week same time most likely I'm going to have some plants to chop. I'll keep things up to date regardless of what happens. 1-2-2025 - Uploading trichomes pics today. I'm going to chop these bad girls in 9 days on 1/11/2025. They're all very close now!

1/13/2025 - Starting the new year off right with full harvest of my grow. All three turned out great though the yields were a little lower than expected. I was hoping for 4-5 oz/plant but ended up with 2-3 oz/plant. Overall it was a good grow and I learned some more for the next one. For one, trust the grow dots...which I did not. I top-dressed the plants a couple times throughout the grow and that turned out to be a bit too much nutrients for these gals. Next time around I will not make that mistake. I think these will all smoke up fine and I'll let you know how it turns out. Regardless, I have a lot of weed to smoke for a good long while.

1/13/2025 - Overall this grow was really educational and I learned a ton. I look forward to my next grow as I continue to refine my methodology. Going forward I will only grow two plants in my 3x3 as more than that makes it very hard to keep things organized in the tent. Next on the docket is going to be some Purple Lemonade from FastBuds and then Slamberry from Speedrun again. Wish me luck!
