On day 30, I have broken a main stem while doing some LST. I have fixed the broken stem with some electrical tape and given it a wire support.
Day 35, seems like the plant is recovering just fine. For now I will leave the electrical tape in place as well as the wire support.
Day 37, it’s been a week since the injury and I have decided to do some LST again. Also, I have finally noticed some white pistils. Flower time.
Day 39 and my girl is doing really well. She’s responded to LST and she is currently filling the whole tent :)
This week I have turned off the blue spectrum of my LED light in order to slow down the light burn. The buds are still packing the weight a bit slower, but the trichomes are mostly clear so I got my hope for some bigger buds.
Day 67 and I have found large numbers of fungus gnats larvae in the dripping tray. I’m a bit confused because I haven’t seen any adults flying around, but it would explain the slower bud growth. I will investigate this issue to find out if it’s the fungus gnats larvae in the coco or in the tray only. Anyways, I’ll be more careful with my watering from now on.
I’ve started the final flush this week. I’m feeding nothing but PHed balanced water. The issue with larvae from last week seems gone. Trichomes are mostly cloudy with some being purple. Dunno if the purple means amber in this case or it is just an anomaly of LSD-25. Anyways, I’ll continue flushing for another week or until the top leaves will show some signs of yellowing.
So, after a couple months of growing LSD-25, I have finally harvested the it. I have also finally figured out the right drying environment, which makes me quite happy. What doesn’t make me happy is the yield. Buds were looking looked just fine while flowering, but once harvested and dried, I found out that the buds are not very dense and bushy too. I dunno if I made some kind of growing mistake or it’s the phenotype or simply the fact that my light is too weak for this plant. Anyways, LSD-25 smells and tastes real nice. It’s some some kind of citrusy flavor, which I love. To sum it up, I like LSD-25, especially the smell and color (even-though the yield didn’t please me) and I will give it another try once I have some better light.
