11/4 - Started germination
11/6 - Seed cracked and a tap root emerged.;taproot grew about an inch; transplanted to a rock wool starter cube treated with 1/4 tsp Big Bloom and 1/8 tsp Grow Big, sand a sprinkle of Recharge in 16 oz of water at 5.5 ph; saved the solution; placed in the dome and the veg tent, no light
11/7 - seedling stood up; turned on T5 light (18/6 light)
11/9 - Seedling is an inch tall
11/10 - grew to an inch and a half; Seedling is kind of lanky needs more light dropped T5 to 18 inches
11/11 - seedling is 2 inches and lanky; dropped T5 to 12 inches
11/12 - 2.5 inches and the stem is getting stronger
11/15 - Taproot grew through rockwool starter, moved to solo cup with coco loco
11/17 - 2nd node emerged; seedling is strong
11/19 - 3.5 inches and the third node is emerging; roots starting to grow out the bottom of the solo cup; watered with 6.2 PH water
11/21 - 4.5 inches and the 4th node emerged; roots grew through holes in the bottom of the solo cup; transplated to #1 pot; watered with 6.2 PH water
11/23 - 5 inches; big fan leaves
11/25 - 5.25 inches and sub branches growing under each node; trimmed the lowest branch and sub-branches; 5th node emerged; still using 6.2 PH water with a little Recharge
11/27 - 6 inches; trimmed lowest branches and sub-branches
11/29 - Roots growing out the pot; transplanted to a #2 pot
11/30 - 6th node emerged; trimmed the lowest node
12/9 - trimmed the lowest node; I'm dealing with fungus gnats, they must've traveled with the coco, the high humidity in the tent didn't help. Increased the exhaust fan's speed, added yellow sticky pads, and will take an extra day to water.
12/10 - topped
12/12 - transplanted to 5 gallon fabric pot; watered with 2 gallons of 6.0 ph water; Coco Loco is pretty hot; runoff is over 2k ppm
12/14 - watered with 2.5 gals of 6.0 ph water; noticed slight yellowing of leaf tips; runoff is still over 2k ppm
12/16 - fed 2.5 gallons; 80/20 RO and Brita filtered water (43 ppm, nice); solution 587 ppm with 6.1 ph; moved to the flowering box
12/19 - Watered 2.5 gallons with CalMag; 6.0 PH
12/21 - Noticed discoloration on lower leaves; I'm not surprised. The key to growing in Coco Loco is to wait for the runoff to fall into an acceptable EC range before starting full nutes. I should have halved the 12/16 feeding since the runoff was still over 2k. Will water again with 2.5 gallons and CalMag at 6.0 PH
WEEK 7 Goals - 1) drop runoff EC to acceptable range before I switch to flowering; 2) determine whether PH, environment, or high EC is the cause of "droopiness" (probably all of the above); 3) continue LST and defoliation.
12/23 - EC dropped to 1532; still high but its progress. Feeding with 2.5 gallons; RO 44 ppm; solution 865 ppm; 5.9 PH.
12/25 - Discoloration on lower leaves is more pronounced and the plant is droopy. I'm going to flush on the next water and will also increase the PH. I think this plant likes a higher PH range (6.2 - 6.4). For today, watered with 2.5 gallons and CalMag; 6.0 PH
12/27 - Flushed with 5 gals of 6.2 PH water and Clearex.
12/29 - No discoloration on top leaves; plant appears to have perked up, but she's still droopy; fed with 2 gals; 722 ppm; 6.3 PH
Week 8 Goals - 1) Get runoff EC down to an acceptable range; 2) continue investigating why plant is droopy; 3) transition to flowering; 4) continue LST and defoliation.
12/30 - Well, well, well, looky here. Runoff EC dropped to 1032 ppm. Yes sir! Watered with CalMag; 6.3 ph; 272 ppm
1/1 - Runoff EC from 12/30 is 840 ppm; she's in an acceptable range and is ready for flowering; baby girl is PERKY and looks happy. Yes Sir!; she was very thirsty, the root zone EC spikes when coco dries out so I'm moving to daily feed/water schedule. Switching to 12/12 lights. Fed 1.5 gals, 790 ppm, 6.2 ph
1/2 - Runoff EC from 1/1 is 782 ppm; Watered 1.75 gals with CalMag; 6.3 ph
1/3 - Fed 1.5 gals, 6.2 ph
1/4 - Watered 1.25 gals with CalMag; 6.3 ph; Runoff EC from 1/3 is 842 ppm;
1/5 - Fed 1.25 gals, 6.3 ph
1/20 - Flushed; 5 gals of water with Clearex; 6.2 ph
1/21 - Fed 1.75 gals, 6.2 ph; 975 ppm
1/22 - Watered with CalMag, 2 gals, 6.2 ph; runoff EC from 1/21 is 796 ppm.
1/23 - Fed 2 gals, 6.2 ph; 985 ppm; runoff EC from 1/22 is 701 ppm. I love this stage of cannabis growth. The kolas are getting bigger, stickier and stinkier (sic lol) every day and the buds smell like bubble gum. The main branch kolas are pulling in the sub-branches and should form big ass, dense kolas if I keep her happy for the next couple of weeks.
