Week 0 ! 👇
New Try! New Setup!
First of this Grow is made possible by https://weedseedsexpress.com they kindly asked me to try out some of their Stock and i choose some strains I eyed for while now. 😊
Also first CO2 Controller Enriched Grow for me.
The semi-automatic DIY Drip system I painstakingly put together may need some tweaking or replacement but seems to work after some Testing.
Seeds Germinated without Problems and are kept in the cups until i see some roots then will be repotted into their final 12L Fabric Pots.
The Soil is a Mixture of Plagron Pro-Mix, Perlite, Vermiculite, and some old Biobizz-All mix i freshend up with Worm castings and some Supermix Powder from Plagron.
Temps are constant at 26C and 60-70% RH Daytime and not lower than 21C at Night.
Will start adding CO2 when all seeds in the tent sprouted.
Week 1! 👇
Both Grow without any Problems.
CO2 addition is also running now at a more or less constant level of 1200 ppm around the day. For now, I can only wonder how long the Gas Tank will run until I need to refill. The next couple of weeks will tell, I hope.
RH is a bit high bcs of the lack of constant ventilation, but not so much that I would see a problem.
Lamps are running at 40%, Temps are around 27C, have the Ventis running a bit stronger but not on the plants directly. (Level 4 of 10)
VPD Control will start when I get enough foliage for the IR-Sensor. (Shows around 7-8 right now, but who knows what it's actually reading)
So far all nice and dandy, will start with the Nutes the next watering. Half the recommended dosage first time.
Week 2! 👇
Both Grow very nice and Show no deficiency or Problems, so far👻
For now all is fine BUT they are kinda short right now and I try to fix that with a bit more water and hanging the light a bit higher.
Light Intensity is around 50% ( System can choose between 40-60 depending on VPD and Temp)
Controller aiming for an VPD around 7-8
Had their first feed half the dosage recommended, will double next time and look how they react.
The Watering System is a bit wonky...hard to tell if every plant gets enough or too much right now, maybe it will show better when i have to water them more often. ( NtS: If this doesn't work out, just get another Gardena Vacation Autodripper )
Don't really want to go for any training or defo at the moment, ill do some mainlining or lollipop later depending on how things are going.
Week 3! 👇
The Growth is unreal. They take on so much mass in such a short time that I'm honestly impressed. Only gripe is that they grow short and compact for some reason...no idea why that's a thing or how to alleviate that. Not a Problem right now, flower might fix that anyway and i don't want to go for LST since the idea was LESS Maintenance. 😄
Both of them grow without Problems, I just repositioned them a bit more back to have better control over the ones not doing that fine.
They now get the full recommended dosage of Nutrients, I just hadn't the chance to add them since the Water retention is so high right now. Might be bcs of the slight overwatering from the last time when i had a bit of runoff. System ran for too long and 30L were too much to absorb.
Trimming was done to get 5 Colas, I mainlined the lowest 2 Branchnodes since they already reached the same high as the main cola. Could've left some of the bigger leaves, but I cut them for better access in case of any problems related to the watering.
Light is running around 50% right now.
I will let them recover for a week or two, then I go into flower👻
Week 4! 👇
Having a slight phosphorus Problem, meaning a lack of it. My guess is that i flushed it out that time the pump didn't stop running.
Applying some Foliar Spray to mitigate.
Apart from that the Growth is alright but stagnating a bit.
Will switch to flower the next week unless it gets worse.
Could be better but also worse. Whatever...New system so i would wonder if it all went alright anyway 😄
Week 5 ! 👇
So I had them in Veg for like 2 more days, then decided to switch into flower after comparing and realizing that with the added CO2 it might get way too much to handle. The difference in growth compared to plants in the same age without additional CO2 supplementation is basically 1–2 Weeks. So far so good, but keeping the Temp/Hum in range is some work at times. The Cold Weather helps very much keeping it all in a manageable way.
So Both Ladies had a slight Problem with the Phosphorus uptake, but the new growth looks healthy again, and I don't see any more deterioration happening, so I hope it stays that way.
Light is running at 70% now I tried 80% for a day but the temps and Hum reached critical levels (up to 34C and 82%hum) 💀 70% Intensity is the sweet spot right now.
First time CO2 Bottle Change (I've should've looked beforehand where to refill them...👻 Good thing the Universe meant it well with me this time and I found a place before my tank ran out🙏)
So around 5 Weeks for a change +- considering I blew some out for nothing a couple of days having my windows open all the time, it could even hold on for longer, pushing it to around 6 weeks, maybe.
Good Week , couild be worse.
Week 6! 👇
Removed the branches that I don't want to see growing and some of the sick leaves. Also repositioned them again for more convenience.
Both do wonderful again, the colors are healthy, and the first flower nodes start to form already.
Did lower the Intensity of the Light to 60% again 70% did work but was a bit too optimistic for this stage.
Feed is currently 20L for all with the full recommended Nutrients. Watering them around every 5-7 Days now.
Everything else is stable so far.
Good Week. 👻
Week 7! 👇
Both of them Grow nicely and without any Problems so far again.
Trichomes growing nicely and the first Buds are forming.
They got a bit more space now 👻
Pictures are right before the watering so the might look a bit sad for the moment.
Good Week could be worse.
Week 8!👇
Everything still fine so far. Thinking about some N deficiency, but just might be something else. Don't want to overdo it at this point, being all safe than sorry.
Both of them are Budding very nicely, the Blackberry also currently in the lead in terms of Budmass.
Can go on like that unless it gets worse, of course...👻
Week 9! 👇
Both of them are healthy and thriving biggest Ladies in my tent right now. The Blackberry is just getting massive, already having a hefty main cola. Somango also getting thick around the tops.
So far so good, being a bit cautious about the Nutes given but them seem to don't mind getting the full dosage every watering ( every 3/4 waterings to be precise).
Watering every 3-4 Days now.
Temps/Hum/CO2 are stable VPD is whatever i dont really watch its set to like 1-1.2
So yeah can go on like that. 👻
Week 10! 👇
Aww man, finally the mistakes show itself...
My guess is some sort of overwatering and PH issues, which led to the weird growth and Zink(?) deficiency I'm currently experiencing.
Applied some Iron foliar feed since that's the only thing that had some Zink in it (didn't seem to work tho).
Kinda hope i at least can keep them stable in the last couple of weeks.
Manual beats Automatic in this case, lesson learned. Going to salvage what's left, and next time will be better. 👻
Week 11! 👇
Getting closer to the finish line!
Well the heavy fox tailing on the BBMR is ether stress or PH related... and I guess a mixture of overwatering and me experimenting with the intensity of the light did the trick💀
First Time CO2 and DIY Watering System. Could be worse...i mean those Buds are still thick and heavy which is very nice.
I guess I give them at most 3 Weeks more since things are more or less stable. Praying for no Budrot.
Week 12! 👇
Just checked the Trichomes and saw some Amber so i will cut them shortly.
BBMR bit larfy sadly, but the buds are still somewhat dense enough so I wouldn't count that as too bad.
Somango just the Star of this Grow. Very nice smell, dense and sticky buds all around. Made it through my mistakes near flawlessly.
Good stuff.
Big thanks to WeedSeedExpress for the Sponsor and Chance to try this strain!
She made it without any Problems through the Grow, even when I had all different kinds of little to decent problems this time.
Still curing, but the smell is very sweet and pleasant. Buds are dense and sticky.
Had a Jar more, but that one got gifted to a friend. 👻
Can and will recommend. 👍
Big Thanks to WeedSeedExpress for the Sponsor! Biggest Yield of this run!
I honestly didn't expect her to grow this massive. The last weeks were a bit stressfull due to the deficiency (wich most likely cost me some terpenes, im sure) or/and stress. Slight concerns about mold but no, nothing of that sort and even better all the buds are not larf but mostly solid! Even with the fox tailing, she produced some hard hitting big nuggets that now fill a bunch of jars.
Absolutely Solid Strain.
