Germination

On December 1st, the new grow started with the sowing of the seeds. I use plastic containers for this, which are lined with damp kitchen paper. I put the lid on and placed them on a 15W heating mat at room temperature. They germinate after an average of 2-4 days with this method. I have used more seeds than necessary so that I still have enough plants of each Strain in case the seeds do not germinate

I was away for a while, so here's an update after about 10 days. All the seeds have germinated. First the Blue cheese from barneys and then zombie kush and blue zushi at the same time. The stating pots were only about 50ml in size, so I repotted them today in 2 liter pots. The Sanlight are dimmed to 40% and are 35 cm apart. The plants will receive about 260 ppfd now. The soil is a mix of 40% perlite and 60% Plagron bat mix.

A short update today. They have developed very nicely since the last update. Humidity was at about 75% and temperature at 26 degrees. You can already see the first differences between the strains. Blue Cheese at the bottom left is by far the largest. The Blue Zushi shows more Sativa characteristics with their thin leaves. The pots are already well rooted. I think the best plants will be repotted in the 4 final pots in two weeks at the latest. In 4-5 days all plants will be topped for the first time. My plan is to scrog the tent with 4 plants. ----- Update Day 19 Veg: I topped every Plant. Looking good so far. A couple spots on the lower leaves appeared. Probably a PH issue? Need to monitor it how it will evolve in the future

I have changed my schedule, the plants have been repotted earlier because I will soon be away for a while and the Autopots will be doing the watering. All the plants were topped before repotting. The substrate now consists of approx. 40% perlite 60% soil. The 60% soil consists of 50% old soil from the last grow and 50% new soil from Plagron. Unfortunately, the plants are not developing as expected. During the day the VPD is between 0.8 and 0.95. But at night it drops to 0.4. I will probably put a few additional heating mats in the tent, which will only run at night to counteract this. For your information, the tent is in an unheated room. My problem child is the Kombie kush. It looks like it is getting too much water. But I really only water it when the soil is dry again. I think the drooping leaves are caused by the high humidity at night. The Blue cheese also gets light spots on the new leaves. I have never had this in my grows. A lack of nutrients should actually be ruled out. Perhaps a PH problem? Please ignore my selfmade space booster made of cardboard haha

I was away on New Year's Eve and have therefore already switched on the Autopot system. I have prepared 30 liters of nutrient solution. The humidity was always above 75 % during the 4 days I was away. The temperature during the day was 28 to 29 degrees.

When I came back from vacation, I was very surprised by the growth. They have shot up in height and width 😁 This is my first Autopots grow and I am already completely thrilled. I'm really looking forward to the flowering phase 🙌 I topped all the main branches again and removed the excess fan leaves. I want the branches in the middle of the plants to grow in height. I have now increased the Sanlight to 60% intensity. The temperature is stable between 28 and 29 degrees during the day. Humidity fluctuates between 65 and 78%. We are withhin a VPD of 0.6 to 0.8. I am trying to reduce the humidity a little more, but the plants can definitely tolerate a VPD above 1.2 from the look of them. The plants will probably burst the tent soon if they continue to grow like this. I will let them recover from the topping and then switch the lighting to 12/12 after about 7 days. I have added 30 mg/L of magnesium to my fertilizer in the tank. My tap water has a lot of calcium but very little magnesium.

Today (09.01.2025) I defoliated all the plants again so that the obscured shoots get more light. I also removed all the lower leaves to improve the airflow. The defoliation was really necessary, it already looked like a jungle in a tent 😍 The largest plant by far is the Blue Cheese at the back left. But one of the Blue Zushi in the front left is also doing really well. The Zombie Kush is the smallest, but they all look super healthy and fit. I didn't think the autopots would work so well. The plants from my previous grows have never looked this good in veg phase 😁 I also set the light to 12/12 today. This marks the start of flowering day 1 for me

Today I only removed the uppermost leaves which cover other, smaller shoots. I also tidied up a bit under the scrog net and removed leaves and shoots that wouldn't have made it. The last few days the night temperature has been a bit low at 15 degrees. I'm trying to increase that. Otherwise they drink like crazy. Since the last refill 6 days ago I filled the tank with 30 liters again. --------------- Update Flower Day 11 The stretch is still going on. If you keep the distance to the lamp, there is not much space left in the tent. Although the Blueberry Cheese at the back left is the widest, it is considerably lower than the other strains.

I was away a little longer and was completely amazed when I opened the tent 😅. I wasn't expecting such a stretch. And they haven't even developed real flowers yet. They are still very small for 3 weeks of flowering. I think this is due to the cold temperatures at night. I hope they don't grow any taller, otherwise I'll have to come up with something 😅 The Sanlight is now set to 100%.

The Blue Zushi stretch has escalated 😅. I really can't raise the lamps any higher. The Blueberry Cheese has barely grown in height and is now about 60 cm away from the lamp. It is also about 7 days behind in development. The Blue Zushi is developing a really nice resin cover during this time I will remove a few fan leaves in the next few days so that the lower flowers get more light. there is already a lot going on in the tent. I have also installed two deep red Adlights from Mars Hydro that I had lying around. I added 40 liters to the autopot tank yesterday, but completely without nutrients. My tap water already contains a lot of calcium by itself

Just a quick update. The plants are developing well, even if a little slowly. It's just too cold at night (16 degrees). I like the two Blue Zushi best, they are really nice and frosty and one Pehno is really fruity, almost like fanta. The Blueberry Cheese is unfortunately a bit behind, about 1 1/2 weeks.
