The XXL genetic is so true to its name. WW is boasting absolutely big canons and I can’t wait to harvest it. Hopefully that will be sometime this weekend, we’ll see.
The temperatures where I am living are increasing weekly and average around 35C currently. What steps can I take to preserve the terpenes of my harvest during drying? I will be using an air conditioner in my room to keep the temperatures around 20-23C, will this be enough?
Great question, BHVK ! So basically to preserve terpenes it starts before the chop, as you know terps are sensitive to heat and light, so what you can do is what you're already doing which is to reduce the light cycle a maximum. second, a few days before the chop, in complete darkness for 24hrs minimum. When you chop, the cure starts immediately ! so thirdly, when you chop, chop in the darkness avoid all light and contact with light, also during the drying and the curing. Finally, my favorite trick that i use for the curing is to use miron glass jars - they preserve the trichomes much better than normal glass and it really helps overall how it cures and tastes at the end. Keep the temperatures low but also maintain a good degree of humidity so the drying process is slower : the slower the drying the better ! you're aiming for the ideal 2 weeks drying. I mention this because with the AC the air can get quite dry. maybe consider an "evaporation cooler" instead of an AC to control temperature and humidity better. So there you go : all my secrets ! I hope this helps ! 🚀
Wow, just incredible the yield on this girl. Never expected so much from one plant, her XXL lineage is truly the name. Thanks to @dinafem for this special strain.
Growing her was a super easy and she stretches a lot. Gave her a 2 week flush and she yellowed out nicely. Trimming was a breeze and the smoke very long lasting and relaxing high. Knocks the stress away!! Gonna cure it another 2 weeks and see the difference in taste and aromas.
This grow had a surprise in store for me, while drying my buds I noticed something popping out from them. A closer look revealed seeds on the lower buds which was pleasant surprise. I’m not sure how this happened but it did not affect the main colas or any plant in my garden. But I think the seeds are not ripe enough, any suggestions?
All things considered I am proud of this grow and would love to do it again.

I've got same strain going at the moment, only 2 plants but 55 days into flower, was 45 days veg (16L pots) and the trichomes are still clear, they are looking nice and fat so not complaining but rather have her down asap. many days in total did you flower for?
