May everything go well this time, i had a major (probably fungus-) issue a few weeks ago and had to kill all my beloved plants.
I couldn't figure out which fungus, the symptoms were similar to fusarium or verticillium. But i found no signs inside the stem or at the roots.
Hoping that the desinfection has been done well enough i restarted this endeavor here at GROWDIARIES with a new alias, new strains and new motivation.
Maybe i'll complete my first diaries now and can carry on with my missionβΊοΈ

Two parts CANNA Seedmix, two parts BioBizz light mix, one part perlites
2-7: only tabwater
8: Great White Trichoderma, Root juice, Purolyt as

10: Germination is almost over, serrated leaves are showing upπ₯ππ

A little bit too much N but the leaf tips have not been burnt yet.
They are very similar to each other, one is a bit shorter the rest looks as if cloned. Big up Khalifa Geneticsπ

Pleasant green and typical hybrid-leaves.
The other two will be transplanted into large beds containing a little bit more soil for each plant.

KurtHighgrade Hi, the plants needed the transplantation badly and the difference of one week in growth compared to all the other plants is enormous.
But since they got a deluxe growing space inside the bed they will keep up with the others soon.
I got the idea for the bed out of book by Soma 'Organic Marijuana Soma Style' and did it in different ways since then. The bed you see above in the pictures is very similar to Soma's.
What makes it special are the four windpipes ending in the midth of a layer of clay pebbles. Roots love it and the plants grow better in such bed.
I prefer and recommend the Soma style beds over any type of pots.

one day before scrogging.
Aladdin #1 is now under a SANlight LED the two others in the bed under a 600W MassMetalHalide.
Main reason for setting up a MassMH bulb is warmth and the special (superior) light spectrum of this specific one. Sun like!!!
Possible with the probably most expensive bulb on the market.
I have compared dozends of different light spectrums of NDLs, MHs and LEDs - expensive ones and cheap ones- and went deep into the biochemestrial and biological theories of photosynthesis and it's components and think and hope that it's the best lightspectrum you can get on earthπ
Certain cannabinoids which are absent under LED, NDL and normal MH are present under the spectrum of this bulb. We'll see...
I guess it's mind over matter for everything and also for growing: when you want to grow the best possible you'll get in contact with the best gear and stuff to do so. This bulb and lightspectrum might be another mighty gamechanger.

Everything's fine with the plants, exponential growth has started.
The reaction to the 17/7 lightcycle switch is good: internodial spacing gets shorter and stress management seems to be better
With these shorter internodial spacings the target of 1.2 -1.5g/W stays possible ππ
A second scrog net will be put up to controle the horizontialisation better, there should be a string every 5cm.

KurtHighgrade Hi, I didn't had the time to do LST as I wanted to, so it is super jungly right now.
But I started scrogging again and defoliation will follow.
Round about 7 - 10 days before flipping...
Will be a demanding week but i'll serve the plants to my best abilities!

KurtHighgrade Hi, the girls left the training camp and will be ready for flipping in 3 or 4 days.
Aladdin Kush performed very well, LST and HST seems to be no problem for this strain, it's very vigorous.
I counted round about 120 - 150 shoots and potential colas which is perfekt for that space.
If 100 stay as colas it will be a bountiful harvest...hopefully.
Defoliation work has to be done now...
Can't wait anymore to see these gems flowering

KurtHighgrade Hi, Tarzan would be delighted to see my trees, i guess. So jungly!π³But most of the leaves will vanish step by step till harvest.
Flipped to 11/13 and everything's fine.
11/13 will produce a higher quality, a better stone than 12/12, highly recommended by some expert breeders and canna-nerds. Anything less than 12/12 seems to trigger our beloved plants not only to produce more but also different biochemical compounds and to express more of their genetic disposition (same with enhanced UV levels and infrared).
You might harvest a little bit less than with 12/12 but still be able to produce dreamlike quantitiesπ
In case you ever want to win a real contest and not just a virtual one, 11/13 is the key.
Aladdin Kush is stretching much more than Notorious THC and Cookies Gelato.
Of cause much more defoliatian work has to be done.......there are many shoots under some big fan leaves.... but i'm very lazy sometimesπ€·π½ββοΈ (most of the time)
Thanks to PUROLYT! With it humidity can be kept at highest levels during the complete flowering circle without any mold or budrot. My biggest discovery in 30+ years of growing, really!
This morning the VPD has been at 0.9, quite optimal for the first flowering weeks.

KurtHighgrade Hi, Aladdin Kush is a beast that wants to beat out the other strains with an aggressive growth.
Very much resin already!
Next week I will present pictures of the one which is under the Mass Metal Halide, she has more and bigger trichomes so far than the ones under the LEDs.
Unfortunately the 600watt bulb broke and had to be replaced by a 400w MassMetalHalide which I intended to use for vegging. 400 w is definitely not optimal for flowering with these types, cause the light gets emitted very inhomogeneous when I lower it to obtain enough at the sides.
I will upload pictures of the plant under this bulb next week...

Hi, everythingΒ΄s good and his/her buds are aslready swelling up.
Aladdin can take and seems to like big amounts of light, for instance the biggest bud is the one that gets the most light. Fasten yourt seat belts: 1400+ mol . Other strains would be completely pissed off by this, Aladdin likes it. At least with extra CO2 in the growing enviroment.
Unfortunately i cannot measure how high the CO2 levels are, i need a new device. All i can say that itΒ΄s higher than 450 ppm, i think it must be round 700+ at night when the canna plants are awake. The CO2 is generated from over 150 room plants which are asleep in another room when the cannas are awake.
The prettiest bud so far is the one thatΒ΄s influenced by three different light spectres: the great MassMetalHalide spectrum, the great SANlight evo5 spectrum and a Greenception pure 80W (for supplement). The Greenception's main LED is the old Samsung lm281b which are not that great and got just a standard spectrum, but absolutly sufficient.

After 7 weeks of flowering it's absolutely joyous to open the doors of the box and look at this strain. She does what i hoped for and grows and grows and grows steady on. Same tempo / growth rate from week 3 on til now. And she continous....
There are only minimal differences between the three plants concerning bud growth. One looks more skunky and is foxtailing a little bit.

ALADDIN KUSH - Top Notch, Premium Cultivar, Champions League Strain!
One of the most psychedelic Kush varieties I ever tested.
There seem to be two main phenos (as far as I can tell). The more skunky one is the most psychedelic. Grown under Sativa conditions, like in my case, one can push this one to slightly lysergic levels. Incredible!
It's a heady Kush, providing rather a cerebral than a body stone. Nice on the eyes: not too much, not too less. Of cause the buds harvested at 30% amber and not only 5% are more acting on the body and are more seadative.
Really strong weed! The strongest strain of this run, mightier than Notorious THC!
Suitable for any time of the day, even for wake and bake - at least if you got an ultra high tolerance like me and
Yield has been good for a first test run with this strain: more than 1g/W
The buds are super resinous and got a great bag appeal
Growing Aladdin Kush was easy but the stretch is quite big and one might have to do an 'emergency HST' or something else while flowering if you haven't controlled or tamed her well in veg and she got too tall.
Aladdin copes well with different stress like LST, HST, heat, extrem light stress (1400PAR for some colas for several weeks in midflower and these became the biggest).
Aladdin Kush is a pleasure to grow and can be seen as an outstanding, special Kush interpretation!
Highly recommended and you won't hear that often from me, trust me!
This is no K.O. Kush, but this strain will deliver you a very powerful, cool, cerebral Kush experience you shouldn't miss if you love the Kush Cosmos
