NoVC01 Did not document Seedling Stage from germination through seedling transplant in photos. Seeds soaked 14 hours in distilled water, paper towel method, sprouts to seedling coconut coir pellets. Grow is Fall/Winter.
The room housing the tent is blacked out. Behind the tent a window has been covered with plywood, sealed with weatherstrip and holes drilled to accept 6โ diameter screened vents for fan ducting. Fans are ceiling height. Added to the intake is a downward duct to drop fresh air to the floor.
SETUP
4โx8โx6โ6โ grow tent
2 - 6โ 420 cfm fans (in/out)
2 - clip fans (circulation)
2 - 15 amp surge protectors
(1 for fans/heaters, 1 for all fixtures, UVB timer and UVB)
2 - mini space heaters (winter)
1 - portable AC (summer)
Lights - California Light Works (CLW) - Solar System 550โs (3 total). The Lights - replacement equivalent - 600-watt HPS bulbs - using less energy. Lights are chained via rj11 data cables to a CLW-Controller. Allowing, manipulation of the light spectrum at different RWB (red, white, blue) percentages and for various stages of plant growth. The controller is mounted outside the tent. From โsprout to finishโ one can pre-program the controller for an entire grow. The light fixtures do not chain. That means a lot of cordage gets tied up out of the grow area, as can be seen in the picture. Attached to the two outside light fixtures are CLWโ- UVB kits (2 lights 24-watt Fluorescent each, 4 total). The sunrise/sunset controller feature gradually ramps lights on and off (dawn - dusk). Personal setting - 15 minutes each. Ramp up/down included during program On/Off.
Soil - Kellogg Organic Plus - raised bed and potting soil. Containers 2โ coconut coir seed starting pellets and 5 gallon fabric grow bags.

NoVC01 The genetics are spectacular. The plants are green through and through. Extremely few dead bottom leaves. I top my plants at 4 nodes. Sometimes I prune the bottom "falf". The bottom buds go to the wife for edibles. Most grows I chase the water amounts. This time when they established, I choose .75 gallons as follows: Day 1 Feed, Days 3, 4, 6 water (Ph down, Cal-Mag). I skip the day before feeding and the day after. Gives the plants better nutrient absorption (imo).

NoVC01 Week 17 tested the UVB bulbs lights off just to see their footprint. Maxed out the light canopy using the carabiner attached to the ceiling cross members. So far grow has been stellar and then I let them grow to 24โ during growth. Now the canopy is 25โ, plants stretched to 36.โ Should be a 30+โ canopy to accommodate the UVB exposure. Could have used the extra 6โ from growth. Other previous pictures show same strain with different leaf patterns. To me it seems the seeds were F1/F2 and at least the one reverted back to a parent.
Sugar leaves are frosting. Taller colas have been LST/Supercropped to maintain canopy. One Chocolate Kush cola I kinked over and it knuckled nicely. The buds on it really like it. Jury is out on the Bruce Banner. They are frosty and a little sticky but! Chocolate Kush will produce very large nuggets.
Week 18 Day 3 All plants defoliated to improve bottom light exposure and bud development...
Heat adjustment hassle. Outside intake air in 30ยฐs. Room will run 78ยฐ during the day heaters off. Nighttime goes to 60ยฐ if I forget. So, the hassle is turning on the heaters before I close up the garden for the night. Settled for heaters off day/on night. Now 78ยฐ/70ยฐ. Still have to monitor outside air temps,
Old school ways say top at four, never get rid of the fans. Will add defoliation in the third week of flower to my toolkit.
Remembering the early 70โs, armed with Mel Frankโs โHow to grow Marijuana.โ and a large room full of growlux grow bulbs repleat with homemade tin roof fixture hoods. Growing scraggly assed sativas. Disaster! Total investment 0.
Tommorrow Week 19 Day 1 Begin UVB @ 15 minutes on the hour 10am - 3pm (or when attached to crossbars or flower stretch complete and able to maintain canopy +24โ). Stretch this grow was 36โ. Canopy fixed at 24.โ Adding 1/64th tsp dry P & K to nutrient mix.
Looking for heavy foliage indica plants before and after defoliation. Point me to your grow. After 50 years of top at four nodes, never remove fans I decided to add defoliation to the toolkit.
I guessn its these that you're talking about stripping? They look 20-30 of flower and they do say not to strip after 14 days so I wouldn't go too heavy but you clearly know what you're doing.
Check out my diary.Iv got no before but you can see how many leaves iv taken off 1 plant 100% indica and the rest 80%.After over 30yrs I stripped them back heavy for the first time.Yoiu see people leaving very little on and they still do great so I stripped around 40% but its shiskaberry,100% indica and the leaves were truely stacked.
Hello mate, i'm not sure to undestrand your question but if you mean if it's worth defoliating your plants, i think you might cut only few leaves to let the ligth reach all your buds in the lower part of the plant.
Good luck and happy harvest!

NoVC01 Week 19 Day 1
Begin UVB Wk 19 (or when attached to crossbars or flower stretch complete and able to maintain canopy +24โ) Stretch this grow was to 36โ. Canopy fixed at 24.โ
Wk 19, Day 1 start UVB between 10am - 3 pm @ 15 minutes on the hour. (1ยฝ hours total exposure).
Wk 19, Day 4 footprint: 10 am @ 30 minutes; 12 pm @45 minutes; 2 pm @ 30 minutes. (1ยพ hours total exposure).
1/64th tsp of both P & K added to the existing nutrient mix. Experiment! On week nine of soil feeding schedule.
Week 20 Day 1
Feeding Schedule @ Wk 10 (start of week 5 of flower).
Wk 20 Day 1 UVB footprint: 9 am @ 15 minutes; 10 am @ 30 minutes; 12 pm @ 45 Minutes; 2 pm @ 30 minutes; 3 pm @ 15 minutes. (2ยผ hours total exposure).
One heater running. At sunrise tent temperature 64ยฐ F. (outside air 28ยฐF) Thought was, in the mountains at night it gets cold and then hot during the day. So now I am running 60ยฐยฑ - 78ยฐ.
Week 20 Day 4 flush all plants @ 1 gallon per plant using FoxFarmโs Sledgehammer. Plants starting to get ugly. Calyxes these plant are quite large. Makes the buds look like oatmeal with a sprinkling of brown sugar. The plants will never be extremely frosty. Probably mid range not high THC. Of course this is only one week of UVB exposure. Result of extra P & K Wk 19 Day 1 - plants reacted differently, some had a little crimson in the stalks and stems, others a little yellowing a few leaves. Might have caused the flowers to stretch some. Not at toxicity stage. Two of the sevenplants were effected. Stick to the soil feeding schedule stupid!

NoVC01 Week 21 Day 1 Start of week.
Week 11 of Soil Feeding Schedule. Last nutrient feed before harvest.
Trichomes still clear. Calaxys swollen big time. Pistils turning inward copper orange. Still some white. Couple of plants, flowers still trying to grow. Causing some foxtailing or this could be the result of the extra P,K. (As an aside: PK Boosters are nutrient supplements that encourage plants to hit the flowering stage earlier by producing a chemical change within the plant. They contain both Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) which together will ensure increased flower size, potency and will speed up growth.
https://ghedirect.co.uk Let's Talk About PK Boosters).
So adding these to your mix is dicey. A very small amount can push your plants towards toxicity. Stalks and stems start to turn red, some leaves yellow and brown spot. Toxicity, the stalks will redden and begin frothing.
Plants can still recover from this stress. Flush Flush Flush
End of Flower Program - Day 7 of Week 21. Moving into Finish program. Sledgehammer once a week, weeks 22/1 and 23/1.
All I did was top at 3, light prune, light defoliation.
Nutrient feeding stopped. Ph water only.
It certainly is Fall in my garden. One BB plant hasnโt turned yet.
The CK grew as expected. This was 00 Seeds Sensi-star version. The runt seedling grew into a beautiful plant.
BB were freebie seeds. I did not pay much attention to them. Both plants different phenos. One produced sativa like leads. The other put out a lot of weaker laterals. Whatever the sativa in the hybrid showed through.
Unknown sativa hybrid. Lots of flower laden branches bending from the weight. Canโt wait to see her unleashed alone.
Finish Program. Between Wk 22 Day 1 (1/26) & Wk 23 Day 7 (2/8) guess the Week /Day of Harvest? Showing trich photos. Dilemma is: Another week of flower then finish or right to finish now and let the trichs cloud. Finish is heavy blue, white and decreased red w/ UVB
NoVC01 HARVEST
I hate trimming. All employed bud trimmers should be given raises
Chocolate Kush (sensi-star) The reason for this grow. I take the strain for granted. Been growing and using the mazur cross for a long time. Yield was Number 2 this grow (per plant). Still they averaged 5 oz bud each. This is a good plant for medicine. Good cross of CK. Sensi-star not as intense as the mazur. Comes on good, happiness wells up in your throat and it grips and relaxes the body. Head is slight and focused. Floral smell with that THC grip into your senses. Smoke is strong, some sweetness, not harsh. This will work for the condition it treats.
DRYING RACK
About drying, I grew up in the age of hanging plants upside down to dry because it increased the THC.. Can argue, but it was a myth. Still I continued hanging upside down for years. Always hated the wait! Bought the rack, 8 tiers. Handles my harvest.
The drying process is quick 2-3 days. You must monitor the moisture, or it will quickly suck it right out of the weed. The rack provides a quick route into cure.
Sprout to finish!!

NoVC01 I hate trimming. All employed bud trimmers should be given raises
Bruce Banner: (Yield 10.1 oz)
These were freebie seeds Had 10 beans landed up with 2 plants. A 3rd sprout did come up in the batch. Yield wise BB comes in last. The two phenos I grew had much potential but I didnโt tend to them. One plant shined through on its sativa side in its structure. The other was closer to the intake air and purpled some it was bushy and put out a lot of weak but flowered laterals. At top of rack, dried quick (first to jar).
Flowers are a silver blue-green. Taste is familiar, a mild version of being โthatโ weed one likes. Now I know it has the musty taste of early Jamaican weed during the columbian era. Turns on fairly quickly, serious mood, a little intense and somewhat introspective. Much later you realize your down.
Sprout to finish!!

Sativa Hybrid (yield 10.6 oz)
I called it. The weed has haze in it!. Smoked a doob while writing this. High as a kite. Pretty happy! Put it down a couple times. Long lasting. Cured, this shit will be good. Wish I knew its origin. Nice to smoke some green weed. Second to manicure and jar. Buds are loose thai bud green and rather sandy looking.
This was the 3rd sprout that came up in the BB batch. Yield wise this plant comes in First. Was the plant that had a flower on top of one of the mains. She put out a lot of heavily flowered branches and some big colas.
Sprout to finish!!

@NoVC01, just stay in touch, look at the bottom right of the screen when on growdiaries it looks like a arrow head, I think it should be a paper plane. You can open the chat right there.. I already wrote you like some weeks ago :)) don't mind that. I would really like to keep in touch๐
Woow ๐๐ i don't think i should summerise in words what the pictures already say.
Top tier work. They look lovely. Keep it up. Thank you also for your good answer on my grow question๐.
no bro either version (Mazur or Sensi-Star) smells like honeysuckle/spice and hash. I don't think any chocolate really smells like chocolate. I have a hard time describing shit.
This one is medicine for PTSD and works well.
