This is going to be my next run. Lets test this RQS strain SETUP DWC 55L 1,20x1,20 tent 600W HID LST The Seed is germinating so we are counting down the days to start this diary ---- It has been lucky not to be as hot as her mates and is not showing so many signs of stress at the moment. We will see how it evolves, it has been the best start in the tent ---- It seems that the heat has taken its toll on this AK, which has collapsed during its first week of life. Fortunately it has not been the first few days and it seems to be straightening up on its own. Let's take it as a premature HST and hopefully not have to regret it next week. At the moment it seems to evolve correctly.

- Starting Week 2 -Although it has collapsed, it is evolving very fast in comparison with its roommates.Soon will have reached their mates in size. ---------- It has only taken a few days to reach her companions. It already has the same size as all of their mates. The root system is impressive for the short time the plant has. It surpasses that of its mates. It has a very healthy appearance. She has recovered perfectly from the collapse, straightening herself. I had retired two pairs of leaves that were overshadowing the rest and I made the first scheduled HST. It has simply been a small internal click to later bend the tip slightly. I did not want to make her suffer much recently recovered from her collapse. When removing the leaves has begun to give off a super intense mint smell. At the moment I am very happy with its development.

We are closing the third week of this Royal AK that without having a bad growth, it has not been very spectacular either. At the beginning of the week I carried out a great defoliation since there were a large number of leaves overshadowing the new shoots. During this week he has recovered all the foliage he had lost. On Saturday I croped the first lateral branches in order to boost the growth of their new shoots.

This week has been a bit strange ... the first days of the week I kept the period of 18h of light, and on Wednesday I changed it to 12. I wanted to have done it a little before but I missed the opportunity. They take a few days with the 12/12 period and still show almost no signs of flowering. So I tell it as a week of vegetation. --- The genetics is incredible. The plant has a week less than its tent partners and exceeds in size by much. It is clear that RQS has done a great job with this variety and we hope to grow a great specimen.

It has been the first full week with the 12-hour cycle, but it still does not show any sign of flowering. For this reason, I count this week as a week of growth. It's still the best in the tent. It has countless buds that I hope will become powerful branches that support big buds.

Each week I am more impressed by this genetics. I always emphasize that she has a week less life than her tent mates, and the difference in size is becoming more and more noticeable. It does not take 24 hours to recover from the work I do. In addition it seems that the HST technique is favoring it, allowing the development of countless branches that will hopefully be transformed into precious buds. As I always say, RQS has done a magnificent job with this variety

I do not mind repeating myself. I'm fascinated with this strin. Every week the development is more brutal, to the point that it begins to worry me about height problems in the last weeks. Hopefully not. It has a very fat stem and dozens of branches of very good caliber. The first floral groups are beginning to form and I have no doubt that it will produce great flowers. Until now I have watered it once a week to maintain the water level in the DWC, but the roots have developed so much that it drinks at high speed, and the water level is decreasing rapidly. From now on I will start watering twice a week to prevent it from going too fast and the roots may suffer damage.

Very happy with the development of this plant. The buds have gained a lot of volume this week and I hope the next one will do even more. I have raised the level of fertilization and the frequency of irrigation to maintain the water level and raise the PPM a little.

We continue with the flowering of this Royal AK that I say again that I love it. The buds are already very good size and still have a lot to grow. It has impressive roots and drinks a lot of water. I have balanced the PH up to 5.8 to ensure an optimal absortion of nuts.

Although it has a very light color, I have been examining it and it does not seem to show many symptoms of deficits or deficiencies. I guess it will be the color of the variety. The buds are forming very well, compact and large, there are also quite a few. Since the plant is giving flowering without any problem I will not bother trying to correct a possible deficiency or excess that I do not finish identifying. Also, after the next week I will start the root washing, so any excess that may be having will be corrected soon.

The buds continue to gain weight, although more slowly than they did a few weeks ago. It shows that we are reaching the end of flowering. The plant looks quite good in general and I really want to try the harvest.

The best results of the tent from far. The buds are quite large, very tight and weigh an awful lot. Every euro you pay for the Royal AK will be a good investment. It is a very reliable genetics and very easy to grow. Suitable for beginners and to which the most experts can get incredible returns without a doubt. The wet performance was 288g. I am very happy with the result considering that it has had a week less growth than the rest of its partners and has been the one that has produced the most and the one that has generated the best quality.

Very happy with this strain that has grown very fast and has given fruits of very good quality. The taste is very rich and the effect is quite strong. In general terms it is the most complete in the closet. I will repeat as soon as I have the opportunity.

Nice Grow!! What do you think about doing dwc in 55L bucket? How about the roots, if you could post a picture, please. Wish you luck! and nice terps

@Psilocubensis, It also occurred to me to increase the size of the container little by little. If you do, make sure to use a rather large hydroponics pot, otherwise it will be hard to get the root ball through the hole when you want to move it to a larger container. For example, in my case the pots were 7.5 cm in diameter and the root ball would not have come out of the hole since week 3. Surely i will do what you say in future grows but using 14.5cm hydroponic pots. Even so I worry that it is not enough, but I do not have the possibility to buy them bigger.

@027Hempsei, to save nuts I do believe you can upgrade the rez as the root grows, maybe start on 1 gal, then go to 4/5 gal, which is easy to find a bucket of this size, then you change to the final rez. You might only need the 55L when it's already very big. I like the idea of modular processes, that you can adapt and keep a high efficiency. And it was you! I like to spread the word of Peltier! It's easy and cheap to lower some degrees.

@Psilocubensis, @Psilocubensis, Yes, quite a lot of nutrients are spent. A couple of Advanced Hydroponics cans have died during this crop;) I can not think of a way to save nutrients by keeping the size of the tank intact. That's why I told you to keep in mind that you will need a fairly long period of growth to take advantage of the tank as it deserves, otherwise you will be "wasting" nutrients that you will not take advantage of. The only way I see to make profitable the cost of nutrients is to obtain larger plants that produce in accordance with the nutrients used to fill the tank. You will be spending a lot, but also producing a lot, which does not matter to me as long as it maintains good efficiency. I have not achieved this in this crop because of the time cuts I told you. I think the plants have been too small for these containers and that I have actually spent more nutrients than necessary. But having this information I am sure that the next crop will be much more efficient. As for the temperature of the water, I fortunately grow in a garage that has a very cold floor and also maintains fairly stable temperatures. My containers are in contact with the ground, I do not have a cultivation tray, so only with the cold that is detached from the ground is enough to keep the tank at 17-20ºC even though the temperatures in the tent are much higher. In winter I have to put some water heater to help me climb some degrees (they are not very expensive), but at this time I do not do anything, By magic, the temperature of the tank is about 10ºC lower than the outside temperature. I saw your comment about the peltier in the diary of my Kali AK and it seems to me quite a good idea for those who need to cool the tank some degrees. For my part I only have problems in winter and what I need is to upload them, which is easy. Sorry for the tirades I'm not very good explaining. You already have the photos available. I may have been very optimistic with the 60/70% that i've said before. Let's leave it at 50/60% (keep in mind that a ball is made when removing them from the water, but in the tank they float, expanding and occupying all the available surface) PD: The water level is so low in the photos because I have not watered for a long time. At the beginning of the root washing I changed the tank so that it only had water and Final Solution and since then I have not watered anything, I have left it to drink from the tank to its pace.

Another thing I have observed is that with cooler temperatures in the tank the root development is better, but the absorption of nutrients decreases. I have noticed this very clearly because the Kali AK, which had a couple of degrees more than its companions (I do not know why) has developed a much smaller root ball than the rest, but was the one that most lowered the level of TDS in each measurement, which means that its little roots were absorbing nuts like crazy. However, at Royal AK, which has a somewhat larger root ball than the rest, the nutrients dropped much more subtly. It also makes sense that if it costs you more to obtain the nutrients, you will develop a larger root ball to try to reach more of them
