Borberad Welcome to our Grow Diary for the Eternity Grow Cup! We are excited to participate in this thrilling competition and would like to start with a heartfelt thank you to Zamnesia and Plagron. Without their support and amazing products, this project wouldn't be possible.
For our grow, we chose the autoflowering variant of Runtz from Zamnesia. Here’s a brief description:
A strain known for its exceptional genetics and impressive traits. This autoflowering variety combines the sweetness of Zkittlez with the powerful effects of Gelato, resulting in a unique aroma and flavor profile. With its rapid growth and high THC content, it promises an unforgettable grow experience – perfect for a competition like this! We are excited!
At this point, we also want to wish all the other participants good luck and, above all, fun while growing. It’s inspiring to be part of a community that shares its passion for plants and supports each other.
Let’s grow together and make the most of this competition! Good luck to you all!🍀💚
Here we go!🌱☀️
The fun begins with a 20-hour soak in 1% hydrogen peroxide. Afterwards, the seeds go directly into a 20L fabric pot for plenty of space, but the seed is planted in a coconut coir pellet so it can root from the nutrient-poor coir into the slightly pre-fertilized soil.
On day 0.4 of germination, the first of the two little flowers is already showing. Seed 2 hadn't cracked when planted and was generally a bit smaller, but it also made it to the light one day later (day 0.5). So, as hoped, we both head into the race with one little plant each.

Borberad Both little plants are showing their first true leaves, so in my eyes, germination is mostly complete, and the two are starting their first week and the new year as two healthy little flowers. The plant referred to as NR1 comes from a very thick and clearly striped seed. NR2 comes from a seed that is 1/3 smaller and gray/brown.

Borberad Week 2
The two little plants are already clearly different in their foliage; whether this is really related to the difference in seed size and appearance is just speculation. The smaller seed had a slower start, but it seems to have caught up, so there’s hardly any noticeable difference in size or number of nodes. In my opinion, little flower one seemed to have some minor issues at the beginning of week 2. By the end of the week, both look very good in my eyes!

Both little plants are doing well, still considering whether to top, lay them sideways, or just let them grow? Day 19 and finally the decision, they were topped after 5 nodes.

Borberad Week 4 starts with a bit of chaos. Due to the tent change, some things still need to settle in. For example, you should make sure that hanging measuring devices are actually secured against falling. 😩 Aside from the fall damage, they're growing well and look healthy. I find it exciting how distinctly the 2 phenos differ visually and I'm curious if there will also be a difference in the terps. The flowering stage isn't far off now. 🙂💙

Borberad Flowering Week 1
To kick off the flowering stage, our little flowers are getting a bit of Greensensation to boost phosphorus levels beyond what the flowering fertilizer provides. After that, we’ll alternate between flowering fertilizer with Calmag and flowering fertilizer at 1/2 concentration.
You can already see that the flowering is slowly picking up speed at the tips of plant #1. To ensure the flowers get even more of that good light and start becoming resinous, we swapped the 150W Mars Hydro fc 1500 evo for a 360W Greenception GCX9PWR.
What stands out about the two plants is their differing ease of training. Both plants handle the training wonderfully, but #1 is significantly easier to bend and guide, while #2 is very stiff and prone to breaking. The broken branches can be easily repaired with some clear plastic wrap, and even that little flower handles it with flying colors. And without letting the leaves droop. However, it seems that the plant, which has thus received more of an HST than the desired LST, is lagging a bit behind in flowering.

Borberad Flowering week 2
The two plants show no signs of deficiencies or other problems.
Let's keep it going like this.
Pheno No. 2 is still a couple of days behind, but it's doing very well.
Borberad Flowering Week 4
Both plants are developing great.
As fertilizer, each plant currently receives daily alternating:
1 x 2l Hesi Bloom + Plagron Calmag pro,
1 x 2l Hesi Bloom + Greensensation.

2 beautiful but very different phenos. #1 will probably finish about a week earlier, so I've already switched to half the nutrient amount. Both are already smelling quite sweet and fruity.

Borberad Nr. 1 doesn't need to wait much longer. We've already removed the smaller buds to give the thicker ones more air. After all, they should become "sexy." Although the pistils are finished, the trichomes on Day 68 are still partly clear with only a few amber ones, so we’ll wait a few more days.
Nr. 2 probably needs another week but looks very pretty in our eyes.
The scent of both ladies is enchanting and sweet, but just as different as their appearance. Even on Day 70, neither of them is ready yet. Nr. 1 isn't quite there with the trichomes, even though almost all the pistils are brown, so we can still gain quality here, and it can stay. Nr. 2 has a higher percentage of amber trichomes, but more than 50% of the pistils are still not brown, so it could definitely still get thicker buds, and it can stay too. Thus, Week 11 begins tomorrow.

Borberad The last days for both ladies. Autumn is here and soon it's off to the hairdresser. Until then, there's still a bit of osmosis water with a little Calmag.
🤗🍀💙

Borberad During the flowering stage, we removed the smaller buds from the bottom of plant #1 (about 3/5 of the plant) so that the last energy would really go into the main buds. For pheno #2, which was allowed to stay for a few more days, we didn't do this to have a comparison of how it affects the main buds. However, the comparison will be a bit skewed since pheno #1 formed foxtails and thus has a completely different flower structure than pheno #2.
Day 73 and the first of the two flowers was chopped. We could have left it for a few more days. Our target goal, which is around 5-10% amber, will be reached since the trichomes are still maturing a bit. During the flowering stage, we already removed the smaller buds from the bottom so that the last energy would really go into the main buds. The result is impressive.
Day 75, harvest day for flower #2.
We really like the colors and smell of this pheno.
We also take away from this run that vigorous lollipopping leads to decent main buds. Since we have to hang pheno #2 in the air due to space constraints in the Canatrol, it remains to be seen how much the yield differs here, as we harvested and weighed whole branches and not just "main buds.

@@Zeno63,
In terms of smoke and vape, both are quite similar, but Pheno 1 is a bit sweeter. We dried about 100g per plant, resulting in one being 23g and the other 21g.
Congratulations on the harvest. The plants look really fat. Just be careful when drying and curing, otherwise all the effort is for nothing. And then: chill, light up, and celebrate the whole stuff. Nice job! 💨🔥
@Turtleinweed,
Thank you so much! 👍✨️
That would really be a sad story. Fortunately, we were able to find some space in the Cannatrol, so at least the big buds can be safely dried. 🍀
Hey, good luck for the contest, I gave you a follow and a like and i would be happy to get connected. So i would be happy if you do follow me as well ;) So we can share our progress.
