Eric_Bud Everything worked out and is going according to Mother Nature's plan. It took 3 days for Lady Runtz to shed the seed shell, but now we can get started. Currently, there's water every 2 days.

Eric_Bud Week 2 is over.
Lady Runtz has only grown 2 cm, which I think is good because it tells me she is focusing on her roots.
Water intake is going great; she drinks 300ml every 3 days right now, and no water is coming out of the bottom of the pot.
I think in another 2 weeks, things will really take off, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Eric_Bud Lady Runtz is starting week 4.
Everything is going according to plan so far; she drinks 250ml of water every 2-3 days. I move the fan to a different spot every day so the wind comes from all sides for 4-5 hours, and the distance to her is about 50cm.
She grew another 1cm in week 3, and the leaves are getting bigger too. To me, she looks like she's comfortable in the pot and is spreading out for optimal nutrient uptake.

Eric_Bud End of week 4, start of week 5, and everything is going just as Mother Nature intended.
Lady Runtz is visibly growing bigger every day and spreading out more and more. She’s now getting 250ml every 2-3 days.
The light is set to 30cm one hour before "lights out" every evening so that Lady Runtz can gain some height; let's see how tall she gets. I hope huge!
The lady can grow however she wants with me; I will NOT top her, only apply LST when she's ready, and I won't defoliate so she can reach her full potential without being stressed.
Just let Mother Nature do her thing; she knows best how to do it.

Eric_Bud End of week 5 & starting week 6, I dare say that the vegetative phase is complete and now the flowering phase begins. You can see it in her stem.
Light distance is checked every evening before "lights out" and adjusted if necessary.
She now gets 150ml of water from me daily, which I will gradually increase depending on her thirst. I base it on the drain.
As soon as her branches are ready, I will attach "Bending Clips" from RQS, simple LST and nothing more so she can unfold in peace. I will attach them at the first opportunity to guide her growth instead of bending her.
In harmony with the plant, happy growing 🙏

I have the wrong lamp! I think the discoloration of the leaves is due to lack of light, if anyone has an idea please let me know, I'm a beginner and eager to learn.
LST is very useful with my lamp since I can now direct the lady a bit so that the buds also get some light.
The flowering has visibly started now, but I don't have high hopes for a win anymore. Still, I will try to achieve the best result possible for my setup. Learning by doing, being there is everything.
I'm sticking with the contest until the end and I'm already planning a completely new setup, starting with a decent lamp.

The lady is growing beautifully and steadily upwards but seems to have some kind of problem as you can see. I have no idea what it is, if anyone knows please let me know, thanks.
Since victory isn't achievable with my setup, I'm going to experiment a bit with Runtz Automatic.
I just took the scissors in hand, let's see how this auto strain handles it. Also doing a bit of LST.

Since my other runs are finished, the lady now has more light available and she seems to really enjoy it. She has grown quite a bit and has a normal color again.
In the meantime, Plagron Green Sensation is being used.
She is responding well to the LST, and the buds are stretching towards the light.
So far, everything is going as it should, the lady is doing her thing.

The lady is growing and growing. I raised the lamp a bit because I'm not exactly sure why she's curling her leaf tips.
She's getting regular water.
She's growing pretty straight up, only the lower branches have grown to the side, giving her some nice curves. The buds are developing great even though they're small.

She has gained another 2cm in height and I think it will stay at 56cm now.
She drinks regularly and everything is going smoothly. I'm curious to see what else happens in the last weeks.

Final sprint.
The lady is doing well despite the small light, and Plagron seems to suit her. She's developing small but still beautiful buds. I've removed the first leaves, and look, Runtz Automatic doesn't mind at all, and it gets even better; she's now giving her all to the buds. As I said, they aren't the biggest, but overall they look beautiful on the plant.
I'm not focused on the yield but rather on how the plant behaves under these conditions. The idea that you can't prune Automatics doesn't apply to Runtz, and I think that's a lot of bullshit. Every strain is different; you have to test it. In my case, the lady just keeps focusing on what she has, and that’s buds. As long as the nutrient supply is right, it just keeps going because Automatics only know "forward." I also recommend doing some experiments yourself and not just listening to theory.
That's about all I can say and back it up here.
I'm very curious about what the last week will bring; I will remove many more leaves.
Naked plant and naked buds, how sexy is that?

The lady is almost at her goal. Trichomes are still 90% clear, I will check her daily and give her as much time as she needs. She doesn't have the biggest buds, but I'm satisfied. Nice, compact, sticky, and visually frosty. I like the lady.

Update: The lady is ready, the lights will stay off until Saturday morning, then it's cut time.

Eric_Bud Everything went well, I had no problems with her. I was able to learn a lot and will apply the new knowledge in the next run with a new light. Thanks for letting me be a part of it, and I will update the results after the drying.

Hey Eric, what kind of fertilizer are you giving her?
To me, it looks like she could use some nitrogen, iron, or sulfur. You should post a close-up of a pale yellow leaf, then we can say more.
Hm, okay, then I strongly assume that it definitely has too little nitrogen. If I understood correctly, Green Sensation is a kind of addon starting from the 4th flowering week, but before that, the plants still need some nutrients to develop optimally.
Hi eric, Why would your setup not alow you to make a chance at winning. We are not looking at your setup, we will only look at the buds your plants will produce, how dence and sexy they will become. So don't give up 💙!
