End of week 1 above soil. After a longer than usual soak, 4 of 5 seeds showed a tap root. All 5 seeds germinated, although one is looking a bit small and deformed compared to the other 4 sprouts. A week or two more in these pots before they’re moved into fabric bags.
End of week two above ground. Still dealing with fringed cold temperatures in the basement.
I have begun to introduce a small amount of nutrients. The plants are still on a heating mat, hopefully offsetting a bit of the cold.
Still unsure if the runt in the middle will make it. Another week and I’ll see if she has any further growth.
End of week 3. It’s apparent that my runt plant is not growing- and therefore will not be up-potted once the time comes. Another week or two in the small tent before moving over to the 4x4. The 4 girls who actually had growth were topped. I’ll allow them a week before up-potting.
#pimpmygrow
End of week 4. Maybe a few days over. All 4 girls look like they’ve handled the topping from last week and side growth is ramping up. I’ve upped feeding a tad- I also picked up a bag of soil today. Over thirty bucks for a bag of ocean forest at my local hydro shop. I’ll be getting them in larger fabric pots this week and then begin some lst.
I could have sworn I updated last week- but apparently it didn’t take, and I’ve already cleared my photos 🤷♀️ so on to the end of week 6 update.
Last week girls were re-potted into 3 gallon fabric grow bags. Fox farms ocean forest with a bit extra perlite cut in. This week I’m working on reining in my watering. All 4 plants received a bit of lst yesterday- so plants are still a bit wonky. I’ll be checking in another day or two if I can add a few more bends.
Another week in the books. Girls added some height, and I added in another 2 bends each. Feeding has increased and I’m wondering if they are hungry for more….. since they are still so yellow. Another week and a half until the flip.
Girls got a big bump in nutrients this past week- still doing my best to get a handle on consistent watering. These first grows of the new year have always been a bit behind due to temperatures. New England basements are cold. But outside temps are starting to ramp up- found my first bloomed crocus today. Brings hope.
They’ll get another watering tomorrow morning, , then because I’m non a time schedule I plan on flipping them in just a few short days.
These ladies have been on a 12/12 schedule now for 5 days. They are responding well to the increased nutrients and have a bit more green. I’ll probably thin out a few top leaves within the next week to open up a few additional stalks. Then a nice defoliation just after the 3 week flower mark. Can’t wait to hit these girls with that green sensation.
Girls are finally beginning to show a little stretch. Hoping they have a bit more to go. Day time temperatures have risen, I think next month will be a sweet spot- but still getting below freezing at night. Two more week before I hit the half way mark for flower and begin to introduce some green sensation and cut back 50% on my nutrient amount.
End of week 3 flower and things are starting to get exciting. Girls picked up a bit more height, but I’m hoping they’re not done yet. Thricomes have become visible on at least two plants. Upped feeds by 1 ml/ but still seeing yellow on two of them ( these have been on the yellow side since germination ) one more week before I get to use some green sensation!
