Potential over watering early on has stunted the growth considerably. Pictures are 14 days after previous diary entry. I waited to keep it true to 2 weeks. Each diary will be weekly now.
Will keep watering and feeding to a minimum and try to 'read' the plant
Plant maybe running a little colder than I want at times, not sure if the fan blowing on it can cool to the point of slowing growth?
Going much better after the slow growing PH issues which I (wrongfully but successfully) fixed with an overdose of nitric acid.
I now have access to Reverse Osmosis water which should make a difference.
Few new shoots starting to take off! Glad I will have a couple of bud sites (as long as it's not all larf/popcorn..)
Tight internodal structure, but a bit more spaced out compared to the girl scout cookies growing next to it.
Growth still slower than expected. These nutrients were tailored for my local tap water so will try them with that again or buy some new ones to use with RO water
Flowering has just about begun. A bit of stretch but not as much as I had hoped.
Not predicting much of a yield still, but might aswell see it through.
Has a very faint smell of freshly cut apples at the moment. It's lovely.
Really stressed her out Overwatering at the very start of this week. New growths still coming through will curled down over watered leaves, so I hope the roots are okay...
The medium seems bone dry and light to pick up. I put small clay pebbles in the bottom of this fabric pot. I thought it might improve drainage, but it seems to have done the opposite.
??g - Sugar leaf
16g - popcorn/airy buds
104g - Quality Buds
I haven't included the sugar leaf In my final total, but I will update this comment once I have processed it into wax extract.
So happy with this harvest. Huge fluffy buds covered in trichromes. Really looks the part and will last me a while for sure! Dried this a little too quickly so have a bit of a funky smell to it, hopefully just a little more curing will fix it.
Certainly will have to grow another dinafem autoflower! Couldn't be any happier with the help I received by them on this grow.
With a lot of thanks to @Ga4rd2en0er I have got this grow back on track!
After a big flush I have upper the nutes and the overall watering. 2 dead leaves were removed from the bottom with no noticeable shock.
Flowering has really kicked in and she has finally stretched out perfectly.
Really shot up. Some sugar leaf starting to come through at the bud-sites.
Pistils stretching but I don't think think these are going to be very big buds..
Perfect node spacing at this point. Enough for light penetration and a decent airflow.
Plant looks fairly healthy in my opinion.
Unfortunately the mainstem has grown quite close to the LED and my setup could do with adjusting. Surprised how close the plant seems to be able to deal with, but wouldn't want to leave this much longer.
Really nice week of watching the buds start to fatten up. Fair bit of sugar leaf coming in across the plant now.
Probably would have got a far better yield if I was a little more consistent with my feeding ppm. Noticed early nute burn on leaf tips but have now reverted to early deficiency as I'm being too cautious. I have since added B-52 to my feeding regime hoping this will help somewhat. I also added a silica to the mix for no reason other than it worked out cheap, so might not keep this one for long.
Can't believe it was still stretching this week! Few spots appearing on the leaves. I'm not sure if this is magnesium or potassium deficiency but I have upped the feeding of both a little.
The amount of bud on the mainstem is really blowing my mind! Hopefully there will be plenty to get through once she is done.
Buds are feeling really dense and leave a wonderful smell on my fingers.
I believe I'm having quite a bit of a potassium deficiency, spotting appearing on the old leaves and newer growth coming through a little wilted and dark. I've used a small amount of PK booster but I'm probably a bit late to reverse the damage.
Finally got myself a jewellers loupe, only to find more thrich heads are clear than I had hoped. Couple of weeks til haven't hopefully.
Final week before harvest! Only feeding with pH'd RO water.
She has put on some serious weight, cannot wait to see what the scales say!
Starting to push out a few foxtails, not sure if I continued feeding a little too long or if it's some form of stress? Stress will probably be in the roots as she's all stuffed into a 5 liter fabric pot.
Lovely fade on the leaves. Buds are giant. I have never seen anything like it, I'm sure they are quite airy, but plenty of trichromes.
Im going to have to do this strain again. So pleased with the results. Will be harvested as soon as my other plant is done in my DIY dry chamber.
