Runtz - Eternity Grow Cup 2025 - PLAGRON x Zamnesia
A week has passed from germinating the seeds so lets start counting veg days. Fifth seed has still not popped and probably wont at this point, but we'll give it another week. One of the germinated seeds also tear one of the cotyledon leaf by itself somehow and seems to have damaged the apical meristem too while doing that, so the growth is a bit stunted on that seedling but we'll give it a chance too, sometimes its the ones that struggle in the beginning that surprise you in the end. :)
I will be transplanting the seedlings into 7,5cm x 7,5cm rockwool cubes after they have enough roots growing out of the coco plugs, until that I will be keeping them under a humidity dome. I was thinking of dedicating two NFT systems for the four popped seedlings, but depending on how the one with stunted growth keeps going, I might end up putting all into one NFT.
Mixed a few litre nutrient solution containing nutrients listed above (some with half the recommended dosage to start with) that I will be using to keep the coco plugs moist.
EDIT: We started having enough root growth poking out of the coco plugs so I transplanted them into the rockwool cubes. I presoaked the cubes using pH 6.1 water and got rid off the excess moisture. After that I placed the coco plugs in small net pots into the rockwool cubes (to mitigate the risk of stem rot, no direct contact between the coco plug and rockwool cube so the coco plug wont get and stay oversaturated when placed into the NFT system).
All four are growing pretty much as expected, even the damaged one seems to survive even though lagging a bit behind. Luckily we are not in a rush! :) The seedlings will stay under a ventilated humidity dome for now. Next update will be week 2 of veg. I will probably be providing the plants with some exposure to metal halide light after a few days of getting used to the rockwool cubes.
@DeltaEye, no I'm not participating. I didn't have time to grow those before end of may. Also like lot a freedom to do what I want. Trying to get familiar with these dry nutrients at the moment so I basicly have no need for extra nutrients either. Nice cup and good prizes but not for me. Better change for you 😅
@Patricia_Zamnesia, thank you and both the Zamnesia and Plagron teams for this opportunity. :) Looking forward testing your Runtz and Plagrons nutrients, growing some beautiful buds and taking sweet photos of the whole process!
Gonna be interesting once we start seeing buds forming for growers!!
All the best my friend, curious to see how urs finishes up definitely gonna follow along.
