So this week my hubris caught back up to me for taking the plants outside in the sunlight each day. I noticed a few aphids around the Beary White plant and as I looked under the larger fan leaves, I knew that I had a problem. First I went to get some ladybugs and then I grabbed some tomato leaves from my garden. I chopped up the leaves and let them sit in 2 cups of water overnight. I then let the ladybugs start to work on eating the aphid larva and then the next day I sprayed with the new tomato leaves mixture. I think it made some of the fan leaves wilt a bit. I did get some new Advanced Nutrients in and I've already given them one full feeding.
@DabCrab, I bought the King Plus LED 1000 watt which states it's good for over 50,000 hours, LOL! I just think maybe it will not last as long using it 20 hours per day with growing these Autos.
@DopeLeaves, They typically last from 2 - 5 years depending on their quality. Some cheaper brands will last for only 6 months. The middle range price tag ones last 1 - 3 years. The high quality ones last 3 - 10 years sometimes. It's all about who's manufacturing the Diodes.
@DabCrab, Do you know how long 1000 watt LED lights actually last? I'm reading that mine is supposed to go for over 50,000 hours but I don't know if that's accurate. How often do growers buy new LED lights?
@@Tryhard, It's called FoxFarm Light Warrior starter soil and I'm thinking I needing to add some FoxFarm Happy Frog potting soil to the mix before flowering.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, in the first 4 weeks of veg I use only a 4 foot, 2X - 52watts per tube T5 HO Grow Light for a total of 104watts that I place about 10-15 inches away from the tops to the plants.
Then when I feel like they can handle more heat and a higher voltage, I'll put them under my 1000watt LED grow light.
Sometimes is a defective pheno bro, sooner or later she will take off, just try to go steady, no rush... All the best! ๐If you can rase the humidity they will like, you can use a wet towel, and keep it that way everyday till the humidity rases...
The important part is that she is developing some how, got a plant with similar grow pattern, sometimes takes a bit but she will take off... Patience is key! Good luck! ๐
@DopeLeaves, Nice to have a reliable source of water,๐ here is very alkaline like 7.5-8.5, bounces too and is full of chlorine and fluoride lol. As far as nutes, i'm using FF for now, there is REMO that i see some growers getting good results, but personally i will try next AN with @TaNg 's easy auto schedule to test, which is very minimal, only voodoo juice and Sensi Bloom A+B, in my area is really hard to find nutrient lines, so for me a minimal approach would be the best option. Happy growing! ๐
@CANNASIM, by PH perfect I mean, cold mountain runoff that is PH of 6.8 - 7 and ready for feeding right out of the tap. Sorry @CANNASIM, no nutrients added to this grow as of yet. I'm not really sure which nutrients to use for their veg phase. I've used most of the Advance Nutrients line already with other gardens but I'm out of all of it now. Got any suggestions?
