AlphaBetaGamma Nina germinated in 6 days. Pinta took a while. To activate the substrate (mycorrhiza and rhizobacter) I wet the soil too much. Low temperatures (mid-January) and soil too wet caused a decidedly slow growth.

AlphaBetaGamma Too wet soil and errors with brightness (set at 50% for an entire day too early) have caused a decidedly slow growth. Maybe even turning on the fan was a mistake. I bought a heating mat for temperature and wet soil. Nina has developed cotyledons and first clawed leaflets, a sign of soil that is too wet. Other leaves are popping up and seem to be in good condition. Pinta is tiny, had difficulty getting rid of the seed and was poorly protected from light, and a cotyledon has hardened. The other one hasn't completely rid himself from the inside of the seed. It is therefore just 2 cm tall, but it is developing its first leaves. Resilient. Santa Maria was planted in a plastic cup. UPDATE: Nina is taking root and doing just fine. Pinta is still alive, but seemly not growing.

AlphaBetaGamma Nina is doing just fine, now growing quickly. Pinta still holding back, the leaves start to get yellowish. I have little hope for her. No sight of Santa Maria. Update 04/02: Moved some soil from Pinta's to Nina's pouch. The soil in Pinta's pouch was completly wet. Pinta shows some signs that maybe, some leaves are growing. Nina's doing great. Update 06/02: Started with the nutrients and molasses (1 teaspoon for 1 liter). Nina's growing all right. Pinta's still alive. There's still hope for her. Santa Maria is lost. Update 08/02: Nina has been topped today. Pinta is morphing into some lovecraftian being from outer space.

AlphaBetaGamma 10/02: Realized yesterday I added the "first week of flowering" nutrients last week. Oh well, I'm stupid. Nina seems to respond well to topping. Today I did some LST on the upper branches. Doses for the week: 400-500 ml every 72 h. Lights at 60% at 30 cm. 13/02: Did some LST on the lower branches. 16/02: first signs of blooming on Nina. I thought there would be some more time, but that's ok. She's small, but the branch structure seems fine. Did some LST and defoliation. Next week I'll add the blooming nutrients. Cronenberg Pinta still alive and cronenberging.

AlphaBetaGamma First week of Bloom for Nina. Added bloom nutrients and some Cal-Mag. Did a little LST and lollipopping on the smaller branches. Lights at 30cm at 75%. Cronenberg Pinta still developing into some lovecraftian horror. Update 21/02: Nina is quickly growing. Canopy still seemly on point. Pinta is now bigger and almost resembles a proper plant. Update 22/02: Did a little LST on the main branches on Nina and removed some old leaves. Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Pinta R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

AlphaBetaGamma Well, we're officially blooming! Nina is growing fast and strong. The canopy seems fairly flat. I expect her to stretch in the next days. Pinta barada nikto. Lights at 75% at 30 cm. Update 26/02 Lights set at 85% at 38 cm. Set the extraction fan to the minimum to obtain a constant 60% humidity. This caused the temperature to drop to 22-23 °C. That's okay i guess. On Nina tested some runoff water and got 5.6 PH. Over-fertilezed for sure. There are signs of some nutrient lockout/burn/deficiencies. So in order to avoid a flush, watered 1 liter with no nutrients at all with PH 7.0. For the future, use half of the biobizz nutrients, and half the melasses, maybe one teaspoon a week. Pinta is having fun. Update 27/02 Well that seems to have done the trick. Nina looks better and rapidly stretching. She's now 30 cm, some old leaves are showing brown tips. Tomorrow I'll add some 1.5 liters and check again the runoff. Update 28/02 Added 1.5 liters of water PH 6.9-7.0 and no nutrients for Nina. No runoff water. She thirsty. She now 34 cm. Found out the PPM of tap water is 174. Update 02/03 Defoliated Nina today. This will be the last for some time. Removed some old leaves on the bottom and some other blocking lights. I hope this will improve the buds growing and air flow. She's now 40 cm. Watered her with 1.5 liters with the biobizz nutrients and no molasses PH 6.8. and PPM 530. Hope she'll recover well. Pinta still fighting her own battle.

AlphaBetaGamma 03/03 Thought the defoliation from yesterday would stop her growing for a day or two. Nope. Nina 44 cm now. She's enjoying some new air flow. Avoided molasses for now. Pinta is now growing fast, showing some pre-flowering signs. Tomorrow she'll probably receive her first defoliation. Update 05/03 Added yesterday a teaspoon of molasses alongside the usual nutrients. Got a PPM around 1000. Added some CalMag as well. Defoliated Pinta. She took it ok. Update 07/03 Nina 2L with nutrients (no molasses) with PPM 750 ca and PH 6.7. Pinta 1L with nutrients (no molasses) with PPM 500 ca and PH 6.7.

AlphaBetaGamma 10/03: Everything's running pretty smooth. Nina is now 60 cm. Today watered her with 2 liters with nutrients and 1 teaspoon of molasses (PPM 800 ca). Pinta is now growing fast and entering the flowering, maybe. Watered her with 1 lit with nutrients. 11/03: Added bamboo sticks to the 4 main branches and did some minor LST to improve air flow and light penetration on Nina. Pinta still growing and doing ok. 12/03: Watered Nina with 2L and nutrients. Did some minor defoliation on old leaves. She now 64cm. Humidity at 60%. 14/03: Watered Nina with 2L with reduced nutrients, PPM ~600, PH 6.9. Cut some lower branches and leaves on Pinta. She's thriving. 15/03: Changed a bit the disposition since Pinta is now much bigger. Nina is showing some signs of burn. Humidity pretty high these days. 16/03: Watered Nina with 2L with 1ml/L biogrow and 0.5ml/L biobloom and bioheaven since there are clear burn signs. Watered Pinta with 1L with 1ml/L biogrow and 1ml/L bio heaven.

AlphaBetaGamma 17/03: Pinta is better than ever. She's showing the first pistils on nodes. Nina's developing some pretty milky flowers. The burns from the last days are on the road to recovery. As always, basically nuked her with nutes. 18/03: Watered Nina with 2L with reduced nutes and just a tip of molasses. 680PPM, 6.9 PH Watered Pinta with 1L with nutrients (no molasses yet). 570 PPM, 6.9 PH 20/03: Watered Nina with 2L with reduced nutes, 650PPM, 6.7 PH. She's fattening. Nice trichoms are appearing. Watered Pinta with 1L with nutrients (no molasses yet). 6.9 PH 22/03: Watered Nina with 2L with reduced nutes (no molasses), 600PPM, 6.8 PH. AlphaBetaGamma Last weeks for Nina. Checking her trichomes every day. Been watering her every 3 days with 2.5L with nutrients. The smell is so good. Pinta stopped stretching and is developing her flowers. 2L every 2-3 days. The two are massive now. 16/04: Started flushing Nina. Did a pretty heavy defoliation on Pinta, cut a bunch of lower branches.

AlphaBetaGamma 26/04: harvest Nina. After all, this one was a pretty easy grow. Temperatures were low at the start, she was topped, nuked with nutrients, and still she managed to grow so big. Buds are not the biggest, but they are milky and frosty and smell amazing.
