I just do this grow for fun on the side. I don't have much space and I'm very limited in floor space and height. The base area of the DIY box is 50 x 60 cm and it is exactly 90 cm high. I would like to try to grow 4 Amnesia Haze Automatics in this box using cheap technology and without much effort. Because 90 cm is very little height, I try to keep the 4 plants small with the help of tiny pots and a scrog net and still get the maximum out of the 150 watt light from the Mars Hydro lamp. You can now see whether I succeed in this grow over the next few weeks. Have lots of fun with it!
An easy grow so far. Seeds had germinated without any problems and as usual not much happened for the first week. Now in the second week the growth is slowly picking up speed. I think I'll probably cut off the main shoot next week to keep the height under control. So far there is only water with CalMag, as the Plagron Light Mix contains enough fertilizer for 2 weeks.
This week the main shoots were topped and I fertilized for the first time after the new shoots showed slight signs of deficiency in the form of light yellow leaves. I also started training and put in a scrog net and woven in the plants. I'm in good spirits that I can keep the height as low as possible and that the buds will be at the same height later.
The flowering has already started fully in the 4th week. This is probably because there is little space for the roots in the 4 liter pots and the plant quickly ends its vegetative phase. This week I continued to fertilize with Plagron Terra Grow, the next week I'll switch to Bloom and perhaps use Green Sensation. The shoots are now stretching and are woven into the net every day.
This week I would switch to Plagron Bloom and increase the CalMag as rusty spots appeared. The flowers are slowly starting to develop and the stretch is almost over. It looks like I'm getting there from the heights. Even if there is not much distance left to the lamp. Next week the Green Sensation will be used and the buds will develop stronger.
This week you can see that the plant is now in full bloom and is putting its energy into the flowering. I watered with Green Sensation twice this week and could immediately see the white hairs starting to sprout. The lamp is now running at 100 percent and the plants are watered every two days with 1.5 liters of nutrient solution until they reach the drain. It can continue like this!
This week we continued to water with Green Sensation and the plants are starting to smell more and more intensely and the resin production is continuing to increase. The buds gain more and more volume and become denser. Starting next week I will reduce the fertilizer because I think I will be able to finish growing in 2-3 weeks. So far everything is going according to plan and without any major problems.
The last week of fertilizer has begun. You can see that the plants are slowly running out of nitrogen. It wasn't easy to always find the right amount of fertilizer for the small pots. You can see that the soil can only store a small amount of nutrients and the nitrogen content in the flowering fertilizer was already low. Since I want to harvest in about 10 days anyway, the loss of green leaves is a bit of a relief for me. On the next grow I will add some nitrogen during flowering. That happened a bit too quickly for me. Otherwise the buds have developed very well and are now becoming denser and more compact. I hope that they will grow a little more and from the next watering I will only give CalMag water. At the end of the month it will be the end of the day for her.
The plants are now starting their last week. They have only been getting water with CalMag for 8 days now and the flowers are starting to ripen. I think I will harvest them in the next 4 to 7 days, depending on their ripeness.
Even though the trichomes are still mostly milky to clear, I like to harvest Amnesia a little earlier. This costs some yield, but gives a nice and clear high. Simply the best effect with Amnesia Haze. The grow has gone very smoothly so far and I will also be very satisfied with the yield. The Mars Hydro LED performed really well and I only fertilized with half the Plagron schedule for about 6 weeks, which made the grow even cheaper.
The harvest will follow next week and an outlook on the next round. I dream of automated irrigation and hope to be able to put it into operation in the next run. So stay tuned!
The whole thing was an attempt to generate as much yield as possible from small pots with 4 plants in the smallest space and still have a good end product. I think I was able to achieve this goal quite well on 50 x 50 cm with 4 liter pots.
The dry weight achieved of 185g is more than I expected. The grow became a bit unstable towards the end and the plants could no longer impress with their pure beauty. Setting the right nutrient requirements correctly in such small pots has proven to be not very easy. The PH in the drain often fluctuates and over- and under-fertilization are unfortunately close together. But the taste and smell are really great. It has a very strong lemon note and also smells like pine.
The smoke was very mild immediately after harvest and now becomes even finer during storage. The high is very clear and creative thanks to the strain and the early harvest.
It really gives you a head high and you can't even think about sleeping for the first two hours. A largely successful grow, with little effort and a great result.
