Paper towel Germination. Nothing Exciting. Moved to Peat Pod for planting into my Air Cube System. Only running one Pod to test my Automation and Nutrients.
This is the first time using my Air Cube system with an Autoflower. I always go DWC with Autos and have much success. This time I wanted more automation and have a PH controller installed as well. Testing one plant and I think my tinkering on the itial setup may have stunted her a bit. We shall see.
She is definitely a bush and stunted but very healthy in the trial setup so far. Let’s she how she continues to respond to the Aircube. Certainly not like my DWC setups but her growth rate is increasing by the day. Still in Veg but next post will be be in flower. I see the pre flowers popping up.
Still the Aircube test. She seems to be rebounding from what I thought was stunting due to the new system, when compared to DWC. She is small but vegetation is longer than usual allowing for additional growth. Still small and now starting to flower.
I think I’m going back to a small RDWC setup. It seems to be the best setup for Autos in my opinion. No root restriction when it grows in water only.
She was topped and defoliated after last weeks post. I top all my autos and it’s never let me down yet. It’s a personal preference.
She finally decided to flower and stretch. I’ve done a lot of defoliating over the last few weeks and this week I had to open her up a little bit to get more light.
Just some training and growing. Im impressed how she rebounded so fast. I initially thought she was stunted beyond return. I guess I lucked out. I did turn my UVA/UVB up to 50W (50%)
Well I did the best I could with the Aircube and Autos. I do like the automation so Im willing to sacrifice yield at this point. Miss the DWC system and I build a new RDWC system completely automated with PH and COND adjusters. I was out sick from a week and my plant was barely affected from my absence.
Next steps are to take my light down to 80% intensity (860W) and increase many UVA/UVB to 75% (100W). Hoping to draw more tricholmes without burning them off. Im running a Mammoth Lighting EVO Green Spectrum and it’s crazy because it allows for you to crank the PPFD with minimal downsides. Still getting used to the setup.
I have this strain in week 4 using DWC and the growth is similar. It may not be something you caused. 9.5 inches and all bush and no stretch. Check out my diary.
Looks good. Yeah, Im running an experiment using the Aircube. Otherwise I only do DWC and have excellent results. It’s the last time using this process.
