Right so this is my 3rd attempt at auto flowers.
My 1st attempt was fairly successful, 2oz off a royal gorilla in about 11 weeks.
My 2nd attempt lsd25 from Fast buds seems to of been a bit of a disaster (just waiting for them to dry)
So attempt number 3 is back to trusty RQS and their Royal Cookies.
I'm going to try and keep things as simple as possible this time.
Straight in to 15l pots, good soil and perlite mix, feeding only Canna rhizotonic and ecothrive biosys (beneficial soil microbes)
Under a 600w MH that is currently turned down to 250w for the 1st week while they get settled.
Wish me luck on what could be my last attempt at autos!
Grows going nicely, the 4 Royal Cookies have just about doubled in size this week.
Lights now been lowered a bit and turned to 400w.
Very little to be done with them at the moment until they get a little taller and can be trained a bit.
Well I'm really pleased with the Royal Cookies so far.
Have now started low strength feeding using biobizz grow.
Started a bit of LST as well but unfortunately snapped a stem (we've all done it) bit of masking tape and a splint has sorted it.
Light is now turned up to 600w and the plants are thriving
The girls are looking healthy and has responded really well. Toa bit of LST over the last week.
Upped the feed to 1ml/l of biobizz grow with no negative effects.
They are now showing early stages of flowering and have started to have a bit of a stretch.
Growth exploded this week as the flowering stretch kicked in.
Swapped the 600w MH bulb out for a 600w HPS.
Introduced low strength biobizz bloom feed 0.5ml/l
Only issue I was having this week was slightly high humidity bur I've popped a small dehumidifier in the tent that seems to of sorted that out.
Not sure if I missed a week on the diary.
They are looking great apart from a little bit of yellowing on the lower part of the plants, pretty sure it's N deficiency.
I was also slightly over doing the CalMag so that's been cut out this week.
Bloom nutes are now full strength as well.
Got the start of some nice buds coming on now & I'm. Hoping they'll add a fair bit of weight in the last 4 weeks, pretty sure this will be my most successful auto grow so far.
Getting a fair bit of yellowing and a few rust like spots this week, this seems to happen every time around week 6 or 7 when I do autos.
Only 2 weeks to go so not overly worried.
Buds are swelling nicely and on 2 plants in particular they are getting very fat, should yield fairly well.
I'm about a week in to flush now and the leaves are yellowing off nicely.
Will probably carry om with plain water for another 4 days then total darkness for 36 hours before they get the chop.
Very firm buds on 3 of the 4 plants the 4th has much larger buds but not as dense. Smelling very nice now.
The flush continues this week but I may of started it a little early. Looking under a 60x microscope I've got very few amber trichomes.
Whatever happens I'm going to have to harvest them soon due to other commitments.
I started the flush a little early on these girls as there were still way too many crystal clear trichomes after 2 weeks.
This is the 3rd and last week of flush and I've also turned the lights right down to 250w do to high temps outside and not minding if it gets a little chilly in the last week of the grow.
Happy plants that proved easy to grow, responded very well to LST.
I fed nutes at half strength but would probably go full strength in flowering next time.
Now for the smoke - it's a tasty smoke mainly an earthy sweet flavour and I think I'm getting a slight mint hit
It's a nice relaxed body stone without completely couch locking you, a good one for unwinding straight after work.
Gives me a bit of a dry mouth but nothing major.
Would definitely recommend.
