LueRootsGrowGermany Not much to tell at the moment, it's just growing along. Three CBD plants have joined the first micro cuttings. The Pink Mist from our current run, which hermied and had to go, will mostly be processed into pain salve along with the three CBD plants later on. Because nothing beats natural remedies ;-) Since the CBD seeds came from a gift from a friend, which was ages ago, we don't know the strain at the moment. LueRootsGrowGermany The growth is progressing slowly and fits well with the plan. The 3 CBD plants are currently all at the same height, and there are no noticeable issues so far. Regarding the micro cuttings, it can be assumed that four out of six have developed roots. To allow them to continue to grow, we have repotted them into small paper pots. LueRootsGrowGermany Once old against young Out of the 4 micro cuttings, there are still 3 left as of now. However, they won't be our priority in the future. To be honest, the yield wasn't bad, and the taste was appealing, but it lacks the most important thing for its title, which is color. Therefore, this will probably be attempted again with a premium strain in the future. 3 Zecret Flower seeds; Secret Source were put into a cup of water, but so far nothing to see... 🤔 The 3 clones will now run alongside the CBDs for a while, and with spring coming soon, they'll be back outside. The mother is already on the balcony and is currently training for hardening. Hopefully, the modest thrips won't be training anymore either. 😂 The CBD plants have been repotted and can finally start to develop a great root system and thus thrive. LueRootsGrowGermany Welcome to all visitors! At the moment, everything is growing quietly and beautifully under 250 watts of light. The plants are keeping a good distance of about 80 cm. The LST is really working well for the Purple. Due to zecret sourz, we're now getting a bit into a predicament, as it has noticeably recovered and after repotting, it might even be able to participate in the next run (height difference very likely and possibly also un-topped). The original plan so far was to make her a mother since we actually need 2 and take a few cuttings from her. Let's see!

LueRootsGrowGermany Hello everyone, This time there's a bit more to report. First off, everything is based on the fact that I (male) am responsible for the soil, which I really messed up, grrrr. The resulting chain reactions from this mess are unpredictable but quite sneaky 😅. The soil is still so hard and it's not getting any better. Seems like it's going to be a labor-intensive process. Now, just a quick explanation of where things stand here. The actual Purple we wanted to grow was repotted into my soil about 14 days ago. We had to swap it out yesterday for the one that hasn't been topped yet due to the above explanation. So since yesterday, this one has been on the Autopot system. The original was taken to the garden for relaxation and flushed with rainwater. Let's see if we can get it to regenerate. Yes, having plans is always nice, but they don't always work out. Conclusion: For all future grows, we will probably switch to Growerde with more peace of mind. Especially now that the "new great government" is in place, who knows how much time we will have left. LueRootsGrowGermany Hello everyone, Unfortunately, the update is a day late, but when we realized last night that we had ants or flying ants in the substrate of the pot with the Purple from our garden, we just collapsed into bed exhausted hehe. We apologize for that and hope for your understanding! Thank you very much in advance for that 😉 So now we will first deal with SF nematodes for the ants and also as a precaution against further fungus gnats. We still have time until early August, so the Purple that is currently growing can still stretch out a bit. So that's a positive thing, because if we turn on the lamp, it would get even warmer due to drying. So far, everything is okay. They all received SF nematodes including predatory mite bags beforehand. Additionally, we were able to combat the pesky ants as well. The re-veg P.C.K. is in the 60 tent and is spending her free time there alone. Why? She is not back in the growth phase yet and can still start acting up in the HEMA area. So far, after checking during today's defoliation, no signs were found. Yes, the P.C.K. lady who has recovered well here is looking very nice again 🤩 After today's move, there will now be one hour less light on the schedule until Saturday, so she will reach flower day 1 on Saturday. LueRootsGrowGermany Hello to all garden friends! The one Purple Cookie Kush is now in flowering week 1 with 400 watts of light, while the sister is stagnating with boring growth at 20 watts of light. She will soon show curled leaves. From experience, it's important to keep an eye on the leaves near the stem, as the curling of the leaves increases the risk of mold forming quickly where there is no air circulation. Otherwise, both are making a great impression. Since there is no sunlight anymore and it's not getting quite as warm (LED lamp), the need for CalMag will be higher and will be adjusted in the watering. It's getting to that point. Starting tomorrow, both will be in the flowering tent with the Autopot system, possibly including the re-veg. We hope to find the right rhythm and are looking forward to the coming weeks. At the moment, we barely have time because we are out and about a lot, etc. Apparently, the P.C.K. that is in bloom seems a bit undernourished even though it’s getting a decent amount. Also, the mentioned CalMag from last week, which was administered well, seems somehow insufficient. We will keep working on that, optimize it, and see if it improves. Since the Autopot system is installed, it was now about finding the right timing for nutrient supply. Measuring the soil value is complicated by the Autopot system, as nutrient uptake now happens from the bottom. Um, yeah, it’s going to be exciting XD Ants were also spotted again last weekend and treated. Apparently, we won’t completely get rid of them either. Nature is just nature. LueRootsGrowGermany Hello dear gardening friends Despite the fact that we were on vacation for three days and no one else took care of them, they are still standing 😇 Of course, they had yellowing leaves and also some dried ones, referring here more to the P.C.K that is in bloom. Since the corresponding nutrients were not available, they were taken from the leaves. As it affected the lower area or older leaves, and also some that were covered, it made today's leaf removal, on day 24, perhaps the last time, very easy. We chose day 24 of the bloom because we know that the P.C.K. needs longer for the flowering phase. It has a high demand for CalMag, and therefore we have increased this to at least 1 ml/l. It could handle a bit more trimming. Now we are back home and can keep a closer eye on it. To be honest, this run in bloom is really just our so-called "vacation grow." This means we are mostly working by feel and based on the schedule. We just wanted to conduct a less intense grow for once. Recharging is also very important and a great asset. Otherwise, today we removed everything that doesn't get light. At the moment, we are still running with 400 watts. The pre-bloom is over, and we are currently moving into the formation of the flower sites. Memories come back when looking at it. LueRootsGrowGermany Good day everyone, We have reached week 4 of the flowering phase. So far, things are going quite well. The bud formation is fully underway, and it should be, as last week's defoliation meant all their focus was on that. Macro and micronutrients are in high demand. We try to give about 1 liter of nutrient solution to the pot once a day. But there are also days, or rather weekends, when they are on a bit of a diet since we aren't on-site xD So far, despite everything, we have developed a super good chemistry together. As for the re-vege, the above leaves are already three-fingered. Younger leaves are starting to curl, which is a good sign. Color-wise and health-wise, she looks good too. However, we topped the main stem since there was too much mass for the small 60x60x120 cm tent. This also avoided a bit of mold risk. The temperatures are dropping and are very pleasant for the current situation. The lady in bloom has received plenty of nutrients and is looking better in color. A few rust spots have appeared here and there, but everything seems to be working so far. The height of 70 cm is still the last measurement before we applied SCROG, which means the actual height will be correspondingly higher. Otherwise, things can continue as they are. The buds are gaining good volume, soon they will be shooting up, and some are slowly ripening. The buds are also starting to sway in the gentle wind. It is clearly noticeable that it shows occasional supply issues just like the first Purple Cookie Kush during the flowering phase. Given my own attempt with identical plant material, it is very likely that this trait has been passed down. So, it’s a great personal experiment with a rather negative outcome, but at the same time, valuable experiences for us. For this reason, we will refrain from continuing with the P.C.K that is currently in re-veg. This weekend, we will take the strength from the leaves, remove the small buds, and probably eliminate the undernourished shoot. Otherwise, the flowers that are being supplied are swelling nicely, and soon they will build up widely on top of each other. This way, we’ve taken away their energy drain and are directing all the power where it’s needed. Namely, into their flowers. The leaf or flower canopy is at a nice, fairly even height, and in terms of technique/design, it’s very low-maintenance. Very tidy and no excessive pruning or defoliation. The calyxes are developing nicely, and the buds are swelling more and more. Let’s keep it going like this 😎 They’re not drinking as much at the moment, which is a good thing. LueRootsGrowGermany Hello dear gardening friends 🙂 We're in the final round. As mentioned in the last update, we had to remove something from one side of the main stem because it was more of a drain. That branch wasn't getting as much care as the rest of the plant. Still, considering it was mostly left to its own devices, it's doing okay. We really hope it doesn't turn too male. Every now and then, you can spot a few male flowers. Silly thing 😶‍🌫️ Overall, it's been a great experiment (9 months), with wonderful experiences, especially regarding genetics, and it could have gone much worse for such a project over 2 generations and 2 short flowering cycles. The maturity of the trichomes that have already been taken is milky with about 10 percent dark or purple gland heads. It's looking good, but you can already see with the naked eye that they haven't built much flower volume. But it is what it is 😇 From now on, we'll start flushing and probably do a complete harvest by the weekend. Every two days, she'll get water with CalMag, about 0.6 liters, and starting Friday, she'll probably be left dry and dark for 48 hours. LueRootsGrowGermany Hello dear gardening friends, An exciting diary is almost happily coming to an end. Although not all of our expected goals were fully achieved, we won't be putting any more energy into it, strain-related, in any form. The buds are nice and firm and quite large (here at peak performance 400 watts), but overall, they're not quite what we wanted. The buds look almost identical to those from the crop mother last year. However, the different growing method doesn't allow for accurate comparisons. The Autopot system had some initial issues with the capillary, probably because the pot was late to join the Autopot system and was also a bit too dry. They were moved from the balcony to the indoor area. Otherwise, we flushed them nicely for over 7 days and hung them upside down. The trichomes are at an acceptable level of maturity. We were able to write down some good experiences. We now know what comes out with just 400 watts. Since this is a run-off grow, we intentionally didn't invest too much energy in them due to the strain and previous events. As mentioned before, she started producing a seed or two towards the end due to stress. We never found a pollen sack. But just like the main mother, she showed this deficiency during the flowering phase. However, we consistently had no stem rot, which indicates that we were able to regenerate them somewhat vegetatively. Apparently, on some main buds, 4-5 seeds are visible. Let's hope it's not worse than it seems so far. It could have definitely gone wilder over such a period. We occasionally took care of a few other plants 😅 We managed to capture a bit more with the camera. In this sense, we harvested just in time yesterday for the B-day (of the male part). No matter how, a great gift!
