Medical Seeds: Sour Diesel

Germinated seeds in a glass of water for 24hrs, then to paper towels for another 24hrs. All four popped, planted in solo cups. Switching to Coco and Canna nutes, probably buy some others from the local hydro store later. Just using base nutes atm. Some details about the grow space: Light: HLG qb 135w (using for veg & flower) Tent: 2x2x4 Carbon filter and inline fan 3 gal fabric pots Pictures taken 2/24/19

Week 2! Feels like I should've started the diary on this week tho. All plants have sprouted and are growing well, except for one runt. Went to the hydro store and bought some things: Grotek Cal-max Cannazym Soft ties for training was going to buy CannaBoost, but it was $50 for 250ml 😒. I think LST/HST is necessary in my small space, plus I really want a canopy of colas. One more thing, we're ignoring the plant in the center of the tent. It's sort of my back up/experiment plant. What a week! The growth is phenomenal in comparison to last week. Transplanted into their new 3 gallon homes a few days into week 2. I'm starting see that I'm insane for putting four plants in a 2x2 space. But, go big or go home ... (right?) Looking forward to next week, probably do some training. Pictures taken 03/10/19

Still impressed at the rate of growth, they've more than doubled in size this week. I've switched my light to a 24/0 schedule, it's somewhat difficult for me to be around for lights off and I don't want to stress the plants with partial darkness. It's definitely time to start training, but tbh I'm intimidated too. My intention was to manifold or defoliate and tie-down but it just feels beyond my abilities/experience. I'm going to top or FIM this week... eventually. Maybe work up the courage to do some proper training. Otherwise, kind of patting myself on the back. I think they look great! Look at these bushes, they grow sooo fast. Great week, did some training! Also introduced cannazym into the nutrient mix. Quickly, thank you to @Budrick for the amazing help and @Seedlover for noticing this diary. Anyways, proud to say all plants were successfully topped and defoliated this week. Defoliation will be an on-going process. Flipping to 12/12 tonight, awaiting the dreaded stretch. I have a feeling I should've flipped sooner considering I only have 3ft to work with, maybe less? I'm back! Another week in the books. Man, I really look forward to updating this diary. Just wanted to say before I get into plant stuff, this community is pretty awesome. Super helpful and supportive, if you have your own diary you've probably taught somebody something and that's dope. Special thanks to @DeaneR and @MMJMD Plant stuff: Raised lights back to 18-19 inches, as suggested by another grower. (thank you) Still doing light defoliation once a week, not too much.. just enough I think. Inline fan is running 24/7 to deal with humidity when tent is closed and lights are off. Pistils are shooting up, which is exciting. LST has paid off, could of did a better job but I'm happy. I think that's it? Only 9ish more weeks to go! See you next week. - Mystic.

Decided to get some nice out of the tent pictures this week, get rid of that yellow tint. Tent is packed, it's at its limits, still think it's manageable though. Not much to talk about this week, they're a little more thirsty, watering a little more often. Thinking about removing some lower growth, there's a lot of it and it's crowding in the middle of the plants. Been using the same nutrient amounts for a while now, I've been waiting for a signs of deficiency but nothing yet. I guess they don't need much? Or I was overfeeding in the past. Without the filter the smell would be pretty strong, next week we might get to see some buds! Later folks, - Mystic.

Start of week 8! Flowering is going smoothly, no complaints. My small space is making the plants semi-square, they look a bit ridiculous. In the future I'm going to grow 2-3 plants max. Also pondering the idea of getting a Veg tent, maybe another 2x2x4 with a HLG QB65 4000k. Forgot to mention last week that I adjusted the lights to full, should be outputting 150w. Plants are still stretching a bit, we're just over a foot tall. Doubt it'll get any taller but who knows. Constantly raising lights, trying to keep it in the 18-24in sweet spot. Did some reading about revegging, sounds kind of interesting. I may or may not try this after harvest, depending on the results. Thanks for stopping by! - Mystic

Happy 4/20 everyone! Took advantage of some deals online and ordered some more seeds. I'm so pleased with Medical Seeds BCN Sour Diesel I ordered more of their strains, I'll let you guess which ones (2). My girls are pretty bushy, I've been avoiding defoliation because I didn't want to stress them in early flower. I don't really want to stress them period, but I have to do something or risk mold or mildew. They're starting to fill out nicely, I think we're about half-way through flower. Hi guys and gals, Start of week 10, things are going smoothly. "things have been going smoothly" should be the title of this diary, kudos to Medical Seeds. Not much to report, did a heavy defoliation pretty much immediately after last weeks post. They're probably due for another trim but it's not urgent. The runt has become an amazing plant, she's now my favorite of the bunch. The scent is definitely stronger, I wish I could explain it as well as other growers, but I don't have much experience. Hello everyone! Not much to report, we're cruising through these weeks. I think we have this week plus two more, 21 more days of flower left! They're bulking up nicely, one plant looks a little different from the others. Different pheno maybe? k, bye. - Mystic

Some stuff sort of happened this week; and by stuff I mean issues. Noticed some spots, yellowing and burnt tips on the leaves, so this is: 1. Probably normal. 2. Some kind of deficiency/stress Since I'm not very experienced I went with 2, just to be cautious. I assumed it could be one of many things, so I tried to solve as many as I could: Step 1: Flush once. Step 2: Buy a booster for added P/K. Step 3: Watch closely. Another issue is spring is coming to an end, temperatures are rising. The grow space has been around 78F-82F this last week, sometimes higher; which could be causing stress. You also may have noticed I bought Overdrive by Advanced Nutrients. I've really got a circus of nutrients. It was available when I needed it and had a compelling price tag, I intended on buying CannaBoost but no bueno. I'm sure Overdrive will do everything I need it to do. Shit, that's a lot of text. How'd I do? Are my nutrient amounts to low? Should I buy an AC immediately? - Mystic

First of all, sorry for the yellow tinted pictures. Story time, I'll keep it short since I have a lot to talk about this week. Had a random inspection from the landlord and although growing cannabis is legal here and nothing in my lease prohibits me from growing, I thought it best to avoid any potential conflict and smuggled my plants/setup out of the premises. This was, as you can imagine, no easy task. But I found a safe space with some family not far away. Quite a stressful day for me and the plants. This is my excuse for the pictures. They're yellowing and spotting pretty heavily. But I've already started to flush and they'll be chopped and drying by the end of this week. Some of the lower buds look under developed, I'd like to give them a chance to fatten up but given the circumstances I think its best to just finish this one up. I also don't have a jewelers loupe, did my best with my phone camera. Next post will be harvest, weight and review. May be a little longer than a week. But I will post, I promise! oh boy, we did it friends. What a fantastic experience, I came out the other end of this one feeling 200x more capable and confident in myself. This strain did everything I needed it to do, stayed nice and short, responded to training and defoliation with ease, didn't give me any complications whatsoever. The community is honestly the best part, I've had a few following along from the start; giving tips and suggestions and I really appreciate you being apart of this.
