3 seeds. Traded #1. #2 paper towel no show after 10 days.
#3 popped Happy Frog soil in 3 days after planting. Let’s go!
This will probably go in a 5 gal bag. I’ve only done 3 gal for autos previously. 3 gal seems pretty tight. Top at week 3? We’ll see.
Just starting to push the second set of true leaves. Conservatively watering soil daily with spray bottle. Will transplant to permanent home in a day or two. Looks healthy so far.
Update 3/8: transplanted to 3 gal bag. I thought I’d give 5 gal a try this time but it almost seems like a waste of soil for an auto. Plus, 32x32 might get kind of tight since I’ve got some tomatoes , peppers, and herbs starting up too.
Handful of perlite, a dash of epsom salts, and a tsp of Gaia green power bloom added bottom half of bag.
Raised light to accommodate.
Let the fun begin!
Humidity in tent has been fairly low. Temps mid 60’s. Conservatively watering. Steady but slow growth.
Turned up lights from 50% to 75%. Ideally, I’d like to be about 10 degrees warmer in there. I think it would speed up the growth. Plant is healthy so maybe we’ll see a remarkable growth spurt this coming week.
Responds well to LST. Put her in a headlock and she’s showing a little more vigor now. Rotate position under lights. Was under the Vipar now under the Fecida. I think I’ll rotate this and its neighbor every few days. So far so good. The Vipar is running 75% now and the Fecida about the same. Ppfd running around 600-750. Had not watered in several days. Bag felt heavy even though the first couple of inches of soil felt dry. Letting the roots have a chance to breath and do their thing. Looked into getting a basic drip system but I think I’ll continue to observe conditions and hand water for now.
Pinched a couple of the lower suckers. Trying to bend her over and let nature take its course. Trying get some of the inner growth to catch up, Need to be patient with her. All in all, so far, so good.
Watering every other day. Not watering all the way through the bag yet. Probably won’t be much longer before I do. Stretch should be coming soon.
