Wowza. From my woes on day 7 to the high of day 13. Those extra 2 hours of dark plus the humidity dome have really helped her out. She's getting too large for my dome, so should be interesting to see how we hold humidity next week.
I hate these plant twist ties I bought - they snapped the top right off. But she's so strong I think I've got like 10 cola spots now.

This was a difficult week. She grew so much. She's still growing. I think I can hear her growing.
Added 3 additional spacers and already out of room again. Destroyed a set of sidelights trying to install.
I've been defoliating a ton this week. Little bits every day. Letting in the light, pulling off small bottom things.
I don't know how much longer I careen keep taking her out of the bucket. Getting the spacers back over her is getting harder and endangering her.
I toyed with an idea about building a wire platform under the smart pot that I could pulley up, but I'm too busy atm to make it happen.
Despite some light burn and additional expenses and time, all signs are good this week.
All the grow diaries I read did not adequately prepare for this. She's so strong. She's so healthy. She's so big! This week was interesting, flower sites are forming straight up EVERYWHERE and I can't imagine what the weeks to come will bring. I can't make the bucket much larger, I already have a hard time looking in the top!
Just stop getting taller please, ok? Why oh why did I believe Nebula Haze that this would be a short strain?? 42" today. If she grows anymore I'll need more spacers.

I've been guessing harvest around 13 weeks, so I called day 45 the halfway mark and that felt like a good milestone. Here's hoping for as much success (and no more height!!) in the second half.
How much taller is she going to get? Every time I try to LST I end up supercropping or topping and I don't want to do that but I am running up against a space maximum.
You have actually answered your own question. If you feel the tops are too close to your light you will have no choice but to super crop them to save the buds rather than let them get burned. I will warn you that with an auto if you stress them out too much they can hermie on you. Next you can remove all tiny buds sites and fan leaves from the lower 1/3 of the plant. This will direct more energy to the upper buds that are receiving the most light. Good luck hope this will put your mind at rest. Next time try some indica dominant strains they may be more manageable for your grow set up.
Okay, allow me to start by apologizing for the pictures, I dont have a switch on the growlight and it was a crazy week so my phone was always too dead for flash.
2nd - I'm getting depressed with this project. I know it is supposed to be another 5 full weeks, but right now I don't recognize my girl as visually similar to any other autos/space bucket grows. Earlier this week I noticed she was throwing up 3 finger leaves in a lot of places. I googled to an exhausting amount.
I'm just going to keep feed/watering her and let time go by. We'll see what happens.
This week has renewed my confidence!
I woke up in the middle of the night and realize that I've actually had this baby on a 20/4 light schedule.
I'm hoping she fills in over the next 3 weeks, she's a full on jungle.

I feel like I can see the finish line. Shes in a 2nd closet now, better put together. But her tallest stalk has grown passed the light. The rest have a few inches clearance as you can see in the final pic. Still hoping to chop the top in 2 weeks. I have a hard stop 10 days after that I can let the bottom go that little bit longer if I need.
She is, by all accounts, as big as me now.
Started adding 1 TBSP molasses per gallon of water mid week. Ended nutes today. Just water and sugar until chop a week from Friday.
Test bud: hard to dry quickly. Harsh taste due to still being damp. Had desired effect.
As a first timer, I'm really thrilled to have made it this far. She went through 2 bucket builds and then 2 closet builds. Fought off some gnats at the end.
Dried and jarred. Threw away so much giant stem.
397g on the scale wet was thrilling, even if there is a lot of stem.
