We’re kicking off a new grow in the stealthy growing cabinet! This time, I’m growing Runtz from Zamnesia for the Eternity Grow Cup—excited to see how this run turns out! I’ve prepared the growing substrate using 4 litres of Plagron Lightmix as a base, enriched with nutrients from BioTabs: ✅ 25 g Startrex ✅ 5 g Mycotrex ✅ 1 BioTab After mixing everything, I watered the substrate with 0.5 L of water containing: 💧 1 tsp per L of Bactrex 💧 5 ml per L of Orgatrex The seed was sown a few millimeters under the soil, and to keep conditions ideal, I placed a small humidity dome to maintain high humidity levels. Now, it's time to wait and let nature do its thing!

The first week for the little Runtz has passed, and she has successfully developed her first set of true leaves! Exciting to see her settling in. I'm growing this run 12-12 from seed to maintain a perpetual growing system in my cabinet. However, during the first phase of their life, seedlings aren’t sensitive to photoperiod yet, so they will only focus on vegetative growth for now. At this stage, I’m only adding water, letting the slow-release fertilizers from BioTabs do their work in the soil. The setup is simple, but everything is looking great so far! On to the next week.

Week 2 is in the books, and the Runtz girl is growing strong! She put on a lot of growth this week—clearly loving the conditions. I focused on keeping the climate optimal for seedlings, with a relatively high humidity between 60–70% and a nice warm environment to support healthy early development. Not much else to do at this stage—just making sure she’s happy and hydrated, and watching her thrive.

Week 3 and things are ramping up! The Runtz is putting on more vegetative biomass, with her leaf size doubling and the growth rate picking up rapidly. She's clearly finding her rhythm now. I expect she’ll start showing signs of flowering soon, as we’re running 12-12 from seed. But for now, it’s still all about strong vegetative growth. Still no need to feed—the organic slow-release nutrients and soil life are doing their thing beautifully. It's always satisfying to see how well this natural approach works. Also added a little shot of the growing cabinet she is in - sharing the space with a Laughing Buddha and a soon-to-germinate Red Hot Cookies.

Another spectacular week of vegetative growth for Runtz—she’s really picking up speed now and growing fast! She’s getting super bushy, so I’ve started to remove some of the fan leaves to improve airflow and light penetration to the lower growth. Other than that, nothing major to report—just smooth sailing and steady growth. See you next week!

Flowering has officially begun! This marks the first week of bloom for Runtz, and she’s starting to show those lovely flower sites while going through a bit of a flowering stretch. She’s looking healthy and vibrant, full of energy and ready to focus on developing those big, sweet flowers we’re all waiting for. Climate has been stable this week—nothing strange to report. RH at night is still around 70%, but over the coming weeks I’ll be working on bringing that down to help prevent any risk of botrytis as buds develop. As requested, I’ve included some pictures of my small, stealthy growing cabinet! In the pics you’ll spot: - The current grow light (upgrade coming soon!) - Fans for solid air movement - A humidifier to help keep the VPD in check - In the top part: the exhaust fan + carbon filter combo, insulated with foam and equipped with a silencer to reduce noise

This was an eventful week in the cabinet, as I finally upgraded my lighting setup. After years of good service, I replaced my old grow light with AC Infinity's IonBeam LEDs, which use the latest Samsung EVO diodes. These new LEDs run at a much lower wattage but are significantly more efficient, so I’m curious to see how well they perform in my setup. Depending on the results, I might consider further upgrades in the future. After just a few days, I already noticed some changes. The cabinet no longer heats up as much during the day, and the leaves look much flatter and more relaxed. I suspect the more even spread of the IonBeam LEDs is reducing localized heat spots, leading to improved canopy conditions. Runtz went through a major flowering stretch this week. To keep her in check and ensure she stays within the limits of the cabinet, I did some defoliation. The flowers are now transitioning into small buds, and things are starting to get exciting

It looks like Runtz has almost stopped stretching and is now fully focused on flower development. The early buds are starting to form nicely, and the plant seems to be settling into the flowering phase. Temperatures have been steady and well within range, but humidity has been on the high side this week, occasionally reaching up to 70 percent during the night. This spike was likely due to the heavy rainfall and increased ambient humidity in my apartment. I'm expecting this to drop again in the coming week, so I'm not too concerned yet. To support healthy development and prevent issues related to high humidity, I’ve defoliated the plant quite a bit. Runtz was getting really bushy, and I want to maintain good airflow throughout the canopy to keep everything clean and happy.
