NoVC01 Seeds sown on 02/16/2025 Germination - 3 Days Week 1 Day 1 seeds planted. Two attempts! So worried about these plants I doubted my skills. 1st attempt, 6 beans into text book prepared coco coir discs at pencil tip depth. Just dropped beans in. Afternoon of second day all bucket heads above ground. Dome on, kept dark. Morning of third day except for one sprout the rest looked like mushroom caps with thread thin stems that damped off. One sprout did survive. Seeds are viable for sure. Problem here was seed orientation and not putting dome under low light. 2nd attempt, 6 beans into text book prepared coco coir discs at pencil tip depth. Beans placed point side up. Placed in tray/dome under low 10/20/20 light. Afternoon of second day all sprouts above ground. One sprout had half a shell on it. Morning of the third day dome removed and light adjusted to seedling stage. Issue this germination tap roots grew right through the bottom of the discs. Remedy, swap out starting tray for one with a reservoir beneath the cells. That should keep the tap roots damp. I panicked over this tap root thing. Thought I would have to put them into soil before roots pop out of the sides. Good to go for now. Update: Week 1 day 6 (6 days). Have kept tap root damp. I waited one more day and the root tentacles came flowing on down. Plants moved into final soil. Now watering every other day 1 quart PH water each plant.

NoVC01 Seedling Program - 4 Weeks (Photos of plants numbered for Wk/Day). Weeks 1 - 4, 18 hours on. Hanging height 30” (from container). Sunrise/sunset 15 minutes each. Controller settings as shown. Day 1 starts each week. Day 7 completes each week. The sunrise/sunset controller feature gradually ramps lights on and off (dawn - dusk). Personal setting - 15 minutes each. Ramp up/down included during program On/Off. Germination method: spring water soak 14 hours, direct sow into coconut coir seed starting discs for transplanting sprouts. Placed Into a seed starting tray/dome under 10/20/20 light until sprouts begin. Once they pop the dome was removed. Seeds are Zacatecas Tribute feminized (Genetics Big Sur Holy Weed X Oaxacan Gold). Lot of history this breeding. BSHW goes back to the 60’s. https://seedsherenow.com/big-sur-holy-weed-strain-review/ The Oaxacan goes back to the 70’s. A time when big colas of sinsemilla were readily available on the market. https://seedfinder.eu/en/strain-info/highland-oaxacan-gold/green-mountain-seeds https://seedfinder.eu/en/strain-info/zacateca-tribute/green-mountain-seeds Soil prepared with N,P,K; Cal-Mag; Big Bloom, flush @ 1 gallon per bag. Individual N, P, K amounts as recommended from manufacturer of NPK Industries RAW products. Only original NPK , PH flush before transplant. Garden is growing without additives. Week 3 Day 1 fed 1/4 (7ml) recommended seedling dose Big Bloom). 1 quart mix around drip ring. Week 4 Day 1 fed Big Bloom @ 30ml per gallon over the pot with ½ gallon mix. A little light on nitrogen Plant photos Week 4 Day 1. Trixie - My FIRST MUTATION “Why plant maybes.” versus wait! one grower said magnesium. I thought a diluted slurry of mixed guano (Big Bloom). I choose Wait! Magnesium plays an important role in plant growth and development. The role of magnesium in plants includes: It is a key element of the chlorophyll molecule, essential for photosynthesis. It gives leaves their green hue. It activates most plant enzymes needed for growth while contributing to protein synthesis. It helps in respiration and plays an important role in binding ribosomal particles. Fox Farm Big Bloom Liquid Plant Food 0.01-0.3-0.7 contains the following ingredients: Earth, worm castings, Bat guano, Seabird guano, Rock phosphate, Sulfate of potash magnesia (a mined natural mineral), Norwegian kelp Week 3 Day 1 fed 1/4 (7ml) recommended seedling dose Big Bloom). (full seedling dose wk 4) Hope she grows to harvest. And this breeding goes back to the 60s/70s. IBLs. My garden will not be hurt by keeping her.

NoVC01 Terraform 7 - All In One Climate Control Week 9 Unit delivered 1½ months ahead of original ship date. This is a spendy product, but if you are a lifetime grower it’s worth the investment. PayPal! Since the tariffs the price has gone up by 100 dollars. It is still only available through pre-order. The concept is fantastic, and I have been waiting a long time for something to control tent climate. It is designed for up to a 10’x10’ tent. The limitations of using this product to full potential is grow tent design. NOT ONE manufacturer of tents, supplies enough duct ports on any side to allow full configuration. It requires 2 duct ports top of side and 2 bottom of side. Because of this you have to switch out your hose between cool and heat. Still, it beats having to turn space heaters off and on when needed. Same with cooling having to position the AC into the front of the tent. The manual provides instructions for setup and operation. Did require me to read and understand multiple times. Took a bit but I have been able to maintain 74°F - 78°F by using the cycle on/off feature. First attempt to run AC the tent went from 80°F to 60°F in minutes. POWERFUL!! UPDATE 4/25/25 Dry mode requires a 4 duct configuration to operate. My tent would require 2, 25' lengths of duct to accomplish that configuration (opposite side of tent). And, that only works in dry mode. To use cool or heat you still have to reconfigure the ducts. So here's the deal set up AC at the start of that season and reconfigure to heat the start of heating season. This is an all in one climate control unit, not an all in one system.

NoVC01 End Of Growth Program - (6 weeks) Week 10 Day 7, 18 hours on, canopy height PPFD/dli dependent. Controller settings as shown. Sunrise/sunset 15 minutes each. Average plant height 16”. PPFD 500 DLI 32. Feeding Week 10 Day 1, Week 4 of soil feeding schedule. These plants suck. My problem for not reading them. Three plants bushy on the hybrid side and three plants stretchy on the sativa side. Moving to pre-flower Week 11, Day 1. At week nine day 3 during regular water added 30ml Epsom salt (magnesium) on a once-a-month basis. I purchased Dr. Teal's Pure Epsom Salt - fine grain - unscented. I chose watering versus foliar spray. I fiddled around a lot with PPFD/dli during week 9. Finally satisfied. When I went in to adjust the controller setting for pre-flower, adjusting intensity lower by 15% put me in a 600+ PPFD range and starting flower DLI is 28+. Ladies love that weekly feed. They get real perky and all happy! They don't like watering so much and go into overwatered mode after water routine. But, if you go two days they cry for water. Spoiled and Children!

NoVC01 Week 12 Day 7 - End Pre-Flower Program (05/10/'25) Week 12 Day 1 feeding at Week 6 0f Soil Feeding Schedule. Watering @ 1 gallon per plant every other day or two. Temp fluctuates between 72° F - 80°. PPFD 900 DLI 38 (danger will robinson) Need to raise lights sometime today. Holding judgement. Plants stretched 13" during preflower. During 1st week they stretched 10". Blamed myself, blamed lights, blamed genetics for the plant growth. Some issue bottom fans, slow progression toward yellow. Think they want the monthly dose of epsom salt. Hand Pump broke, back to the old reliable. Hurts back!!!

NoVC01started grow question 1mo ago
In flower. Product is China. No instruction manual, online link to instructions is dead end. My controller settings are 84% red, 99% white (green) and 40% blue. Are RGB readings, actual umol or a percentage? (PAR reading at bottom). Any reasonable guess would be appreciated

I’ve looked into the Vabira controller too, and you're right, there's no official user guide readily available, and the site’s links are a bit dead. But here’s what I’ve found from the product page and testing: The Red, White (Green), and Blue settings (84% / 99% / 40%) are percentages of power output, not actual μmol (PPFD or PAR values). They don’t directly tell you the real-time PAR or umol/m²/s , those percentages are more like "intensity sliders" for each spectrum channel. Your PAR reading at the bottom (if it's built-in or from a separate meter) is what gives the real light intensity.

NoVC01 So, the grow is at Week 14 Day 3. Another 6-8 weeks to go. They smell like pine-sol and are as sticky as all get-out. A little afraid of this weed. Pretty sure this is going to be a very heady smoke. The smell gets your attention. I'll post the garden at the start of week 17. Photo is 5-30-2025.

NoVC01 Half-way!!! Week 9 of Soil Feeding Schedule. Plants were sent into early senescence by temperature swings and air conditioning, sans the defoliation. The colas look as though I am growing with too much blue with these plants. This is week five of flower. Strain is advertised as 9-10 weeks of flower, I'm betting 8-9 weeks.

AsNoriu got me started on Magnesium. Last month after doing some research I chose 2 tbls per gallon during regular watering once a month. A month is up and the bottom fans are deficient. Something to do with mag taking from one place and moving it to another. Appears to me it's like dope to the plant. They tell you when they need a fix.

3/30 Week 7 Day 1 (43 days). Was about to run and cry to Q&A because 2 of them have issues. One is not filling out, it's PH is 6.8. The other has bottom leaf issues, its PH is 5.5. OMG what do I do! Nothing, they came out of it themselves. All I gotta do is lower one and raise the other.

Need assistance reading my red, green, blue readings. Is it showing uMols or percentage Nevermind when the RGB figures add up they total the PAR. The settings are individual PPFD readings.

Hey growmie ladies are 🔥 I have a question, how loud is your new toy? And which one is it on your diary list of equipment? Sounds good, might be something I could use.
NoVC01
NoVC01commented2mo ago
You can't hear it with the door to the room closed. Not real loud when your next to it. It is an all in one Unit not System. Your duct must be reconfigured with each mode. All I want is heat and cool season so I have to switch at the start of each . Here's a link to the manual: https://acinfinity.com/content/ACN2407X1_240701_TERRAFORM%20Manual.pdf?srsltid=AfmBOorl1h57eh5jg7bQT92k_qBMVEl2lZg46pTzu1BHT9C_iOxtExpK

@BrediniGreeny, week 1 day 1 was 2/16/25. That's when I planted. Now in week 5 day 3. Week 6 Day 1 first grow nute feed. Topping very soon after. Secondary leaves showing. NPK soil test is on target. PH in, same as PH runoff. Have to PAR and PPFD the lights. I'll be good to go.

@yan402, in defense of ZacTrib it smells like Pine-Sol and when it was 3 weeks in, my fingers were so sticky, it was like a wet trim at harvest without gloves. In two weeks I'll flip on the UVB.
