RuhrPot Here we go again! This is my second time growing this strain. The first one turned into a monster and is currently drying. I figured I’d document this grow since the genetics are amazing. My first run had near-perfect conditions, so I’m excited to finally taste the finished product. I started by soaking the seed in water for five hours before placing it directly into a peat cube. It popped overnight! We will do this on DWC, I hope outside temps will stay low in the next 70+ days.

RuhrPot The ladies have been planted in the DWC buckets. With a powerful air pump keeping the water bubbling, we’re now waiting for the first roots to reach the water. Once established, they’ll be ready to move into the basement grow tent.

https://dutch-passion.com/en/blog/what-are-f1-f2-s1-cannabis-seeds-n1057 F1 = baby of parents. IBL to F5 your line becomes a strain of it's own. 1 seed F1 (regular seed) = 50/50 M/F. Is it worth your time and harvest?

RuhrPot Roots are in! Ladies moved into the basement, under the Q6 Sanlight now. Big upgrade from the seedling light. Last round’s Titan just finished drying, pulled about 300g from one DWC plant. No training, just let her grow like a Christmas tree. Might try some light LST this time, see how she responds.

RuhrPot We’ve been under the Q6 for a while now, currently holding a 1.5m distance to the canopy. The Tripart vegetative mix is doing its thing — no additives needed. Leaf color: deep green with a slight fade toward the top — likely an early sign of light stress. Since the Q6 has no dimmer, we’ll monitor closely and consider increasing the distance a bit if it progresses. Next step: turning on the exhaust system soon to dial in airflow and humidity — both will be key as we move deeper into veg and the canopy fills out.

RuhrPot Both are doing really well and preflowering! We’ve switched the lights to two Q5s now. Even though both are F1s, there seems to be some phenotype variation. They’ve been grown in exactly the same environment, but Natasha had a slower start and is growing more stout and compact compared to Petra. Petra, on the other hand, looks just like the last Titan F1 I ran in DWC—tall, fast, and stretching.

RuhrPot We did a bit of light defoliation and removed some fan leaves. The ladies barely noticed — they just kept stretching with their usual unstoppable vigor. Right now, we’re running Tripart in flower and giving them a little peroxide spa treatment. They’re looking absolutely fabulous! 🌿✨ The outside temps are creeping up too… fingers crossed it doesn’t turn into a sauna out there. 😅 Anyway, the plan is simple: just keep growing, just keep growing! 🎶🌱

RuhrPot The ladies have completed their stretch. The phenotypic differences are quite pronounced — Petra is significantly taller, with larger buds and noticeably more trichome production. We’re now entering the final 2–3 weeks of flower. They’re drinking about 20 liters every 4–5 days. As you can see, we’ve elevated Natascha to ensure she receives the same light intensity as Petra. This strain is definitely a heavy feeder and handles high nutrient concentrations very well.

Grow Questions

RuhrPotstarted grow question 4mo ago
Hi, I’ve been growing for quite a while. Recently, I’ve been using only TA Tripart without any boosters or additional nutrient additives, and the results in DWC have been great. My question is: do all those boosters really make a difference in flower quality?

Most of the time the conditions for growth are limited by environmental conditions, 9 cardinal rules of plant growth. Doesn't matter if you give her 40moles per day if stomatal conductance is gimped to 30% for entire grow. The entire production line of the day night cycle runs at that 30%. Before you worry about any boosters or extra nutrients you should really work on optimizing environment and setting up a efficent water cycle between the different process of day and night. Boosters will only help if the conditions for growth exist. Once the cycle is running efficiently then boosters will increase quality drastically. Add boosters on 75%rh overnight, 5% of light harvested will be processed, entire growth is limited to that 5%. Growth for a plant is how much shit you can get done in a cycle. Correct vpd with good negative pressure will increase yields up to 20% with that alone. Adding co2 increase yields another 20%. Yes ofc boosters help but first not if plant doesn't need or is incapable of using the extra boost. Gluck.

It really just depends. Hormones, pigments, enzymes, aminos, silica, cleaning agents, ferments, microbes, and more all have their place in grow rooms. I think most people's use of specialty additives are similar to doing a rain dance and burning your money as a ritual. For example, I do a UV-A supplemented tent for funsies. That tent always gets free pigments added into the solution, it helps the plants be more amenable to the harsh light. For example, I like growing that stanky/dank/gas/no-denying what that is type flower, which usually means I supplement with sulfur additives because most lineups don't have enough to grow really gassy strains out. Where folks lose me is when their nutrient line drops a new bottle of magic blah blah blah every two months, then next thing they know they have like five grand worth of advanced in their basement across 28 powders and 79 bottles. That is complete nonsense, you'd be better served literally buying macros and micros in single-source at that point.

Hi, If you're getting great results with just TA Tripart, you're not missing much. Boosters can help squeeze out a bit more yield or flavor, but they're not essential if your environment, genetics, and base nutrients are already dialed in 👊👍

Out of four seeds, one didn’t pop at all. One had a huge phenotypic variance— Overall, the results weren’t quite as standardized as expected from an F1.

RuhrPot Finally harvested! This round didn’t perform quite as well as the first—out of three, one showed a noticeably different phenotype. Still, I recently popped a promo seed, and it’s a winner. The quality is absolutely top shelf: fruity, lemony, and a real heavy hitter.
