Everything is on the up and up. Ended up having to connect all the DWC buckets together and add a reservoir with a pump to circulate and chill the nutrient solution. Temps were getting near 76 degrees F.9
Starting to see some real growth. Going to switch to bloom food to coerce these ladies into flowering. Really happy with this LED. Light mover helps alot as well.
Growth rate is exploding. Doesn't seem to be equal for all the plants but that was to be expected. This is my first time growing Autos so I am not doing any training or trimming. Just letting them ride.
So I have been viewing some of the grows on here and am noticing that Autos grown in soil tend to flower sooner than hydro grows. My question is will feeding bloom notes earlier trigger a reaction to the plant to signal when to flower. Do I have any control over that? Thanks
Hey there WH1115, yes you're right, switching the NPK ratio to flower-appropriate ratios will trigger the plant to start flowering. try also adding boosters like Bud Candy they also can kickstart the flowering. So you do have some control over when the flowering starts. Hope this helps ! 🚀
Did some cleaning up of undergrowth and discovered some weird symptom on the lower growth that was removed. I have done some research but have not found anything. Any help is appreciated. Other than that everything is looking good. Taking longer than I expected but otherwise happy with the way things are going. I believe I am having some circulation issues due to poor design of my rdwc set up. The plant furthest from the reservoir is showing some stress. I am in the process of designing a new setup that will definitely circulate better.
Buds are starting to fatten up and smell pretty good. trich production is on the rise and flowers are sticky to the touch. Looks like there is at least a week difference in maturity from these girls meaning going to harvest at different times. Wish that wasn't the case but I am happy with these girls nonetheless.
Smell is getting stronger. Like sweet berries. Still seems to be taking longer than expected which is disappointing.not expecting to harvest for at least 3 more weeks which would make this a 14 week grow for the fastest finisher. 16 weeks for the slowest. If I can't get these autos to finish faster on my next grow I might be going back to photoperiod for good. More control and less electricity.
Pistils are starting to change colors to a bright orange. Ph is starting to fluctuate a bit more than usual. Kind of hard to feed these girls exactly what they need when they are so far apart in maturity. Smell is incredible. Can't wait for harvest!
These girls are nearing the end. Looks like I will be harvesting two plants later this week and the other 2 are going to be harvested later. One next week and the other maybe 2 or 3 weeks down the line. 4/20 sounds a like a great day to chop.
Harvesting took place over a 3 week period. Plants finished at different times which is not ideal in a rdwc setup. Overall happy with my first Auto led grow.
