The Duck®️ is doing good, is growing strong and green. I almost forget about the second layer of soil but there is no damages on the leafs from nutrition burns, guess I can go heavier with the soil next year.
There are damages on the leafs if you look at the pictures, look through that. Growing outside always gives damages on the leafs because of the wind, rain, rubbing and insects. There is nothing I can do about that, but the plants grows as good with or without the damages.
Can't complain about anything expect the weather, that is complete and utter shit.
@Korfer, the tast is good with the vaporizer. It's a earthy taste but delicate. You inhale and you get a bit of sweetness, but with the exhale you get the earth taste that dominates. But the earth is not heavy, it's smooth on the tong. But I have to tell you, I stashed it in a weck jar with some 62% Boveda bags inside so that would influences the taste (in a positive way :)).
I know it has been a while but I hope you still find this useful.
And I also updated the page
Coming to the end of my grow of this strain done very well outdoor in northern uk not grown huge but amazing structure with next to nothing for aroma but after a touch fingers smell lush ✌️ had plenty of family members in my garden and nobody has suspected a thing 😁
Hi, cool journal!
Did you ever try using two layers of different soil before? I am thinking about doing it myself, but still not sure. So I'll watch for your progress first :)
Good luck with the grow!
@John_1984, no not like this. But for the plant to handle the soil correctly also depends on the strain. I have two other plants growing and they went straight in the Canna soil, one plant handled it perfectly with a bit of stress and burns as a youngling but growing strong and fast after that and getting 11 fingers out the leafs!
The other one is growing good but had burn-signs on the leafs for weeks, I think it took around 2 months for it to completely disappear. At the end it also started growing 11 fingers on the leafs but it took a while longer.
If this goes good I maybe change the ratio of the soil next year. But this would also depend which strain I use.
I've been following your diarie from some weeks, i have an Auto Duck growing indoor (my very first plant) and it's only 28cm tall at week 12 (or at least it looks like yours at week 12, real week is 15).
I'm worried about the yield since mine is much much smaller.
Anyways congratz on your grow :)
