Sejanus21 Welcome to my first spring project. I chose Special Kush #1, which I got as a freebie in one of my numerous purchases at RQS. After germinating her in a paper towel (it only took two days), I put her in a jiffy in my mini greenhouse. One day later I put her into a 1l Airpot in a mix of Biobizz Lightmix and Coco. I am very curious how this classic strain turns out. I will start indoor and put her in my greenhouse at the end of April. I plan to switch to flowering after 5-6 weeks vegetation by bringing her to the dark basement every night. Some effort, but so I can harvest in July.

Sejanus21 The seedling is doing fine. She is growing and her color is healthy green. I sprayed her once with a Polyfeed 18-18-18 solution and she seemed to have enjoyed it.

Sejanus21 I am happy with the porgress. She is growing in all directions and continues to look super healthy. I added some Plagron Alga Grow to rise the EC to 1.2. I hope she will enjoy it.

Sejanus21 I did not water Special Kush enough so that she had to suffer. She remained quite small. But as compensation she will be treated with Haifa Polyfeed 18-18-18 with EC 1.5 for the next 10 days. I wanted to make it easy for my son who has taken over the patronage for the next 9 days. That is also the reason, why there is only one picture.

Sejanus21 An eventful week! I moved the lady to 1 12.5l Airpot (filled with Aldi Universal Bio plus Perlite and Seramis) and then today I topped her. It hurts to cut the nice upper part, but everything turned out perfect; she is already visibly developing two main stems which was exactly the purpose of the operation. The yellow leave issue seems to slowly grow away. Moreover, I finally opened the greenhouse and garden season. Today, she spent her first day in the garden and for the night I will take her to the cozy greenhouse. She got a leave treatment with neem-oil to prevent bugs and other unwanted guests. For this season, I upgraded my greenhouse with a heating fan, which worked wonders by keeping temperature and humidity between 16 and 19°C and humidity around 65% although the outside temperature fell to 8°C. As in the last year, I installed my Spider Farmer SF 1000 as additional light source between 16:00 and 23:00.

Sejanus21 Special Kush #1 had a perfect week in my greenhouse. In the afternoons I put her in the garden to enjoy the sun. Lots of light, hot temperatures over the days and heating to 16-19°C at night. The topping was the right decision. She has already more than recovered from it. My current plan is to switch to flower in a week.

Sejanus21 Massive growth in the last week. Temperatures are fluctuating heavily even in my greenhouse with heating, but nothing can stop the lady now. I will initiate flowering tomorrow. This will be a lot of work, because I have to bring her into my dark basement every evening and back to the garden in the morning. But we do everything for our ladies, right?

Sejanus21 Flowering has been initiated last Monday. Now my routine is to carry the ladies into the garden in the morning and return them to the dark basement at 18:00. At 06:00 the SanLight EVO 3-80 is turning on at 75%. When I am not at home (as today) they stay in the basement, when I have time I bring them into the garden around 10:00. They already show their sex, white hair is growing. Except for a few bugs which I fight with need-oil and my fingers, there are no problems.

Sejanus21 The weather in the Rhineland region in Germany was colder and less sunny. So I kept the lady in the basement most of the time. The stretch is not as extensive as I would have feared, yet. The topping seemed to have been quite effective. I reduced the NPK nutrition a little and switched to CalMag for a few days because the lady showed some stress at the leave tips of younger leaves. In total, I am happy with the progress last week.

Sejanus21 The buds are forming, no resin, yet. She is quite picky with her food. Some older yellow leaves, slightly burned tips, but nothing to worry too much about.

Sejanus21 The weather was not ideal last week. Less sun, more rain, lower temperatures. But the buds are fattening anyway; resin production is picking up speed. Also, some nice colors show up, probably due to the cooler temperatures outside. At night in the basement, the temperatures are higher, but I needed to activate a dehumidifier. Moreover, I killed a lot of thrips with another load of neem-oil. Finally, after long discussions with various chatbots, I changed the feeding. Since I had rainwater available, I used Hakaphos Soft Novell 11-11-30 as my main fertilizer, increasing the EC to 2,3, the highest I ever used. We will see what happens :-)
