In this week its time for the first defoliation and starting to mistreat the ladies. Lowering the humidity to a VPD from 1.2 up to 1.5kPa, raising the nutrient level and lowering the amount of watering until a point where the plants start to let the leaves hang. All this to promote a strong flower set.
Starting to spray dextrose at 5g/l foliar and chitosan 2.5g/l foliar
Also adding some microbes to the coco via irrigation
At the beginning of the third week of flower I can clearly see the results from the foliar applications of dextrose, chitosan and nutrients. Still keeping a high VPD of 1.5 kPa with rather low humidity, high EC, low watering and high stress in general for the plants. At the End of this week comes the next defoliation. Then I will also get rid of all useless branches.
At the end of week 3 and beginning of week 4 it was time to heavy defoliate the plants. I added some extra dextrose to the nutrient solution at 7,5g/10L
Also added 2g/l dextrose to foliar spray together with recommended 10L dosage on 1L of C4 and Bud booster.
Now its time to reduce the stress level and to grow some buds. VPD is reduced to ~1.2kPa again. Also the amount of nutrient solution is going to increase again to maintain a higher volume water content. In the first weeks I kept the VWC in the 40%'s now its increasing to the 50%'s
