Growbody Welcome to my grow diary of the Orion F1 Automatic from Royal Queen Seeds. The "new" thing about this diary is the 9-liter fabric pots that I'm using for the first time. According to the manufacturer (rooties dot eu, formerly Chiliwelten, formerly Chillwelten), these are the first 2-layer fabric pots on the market. This is supposed to help the pots not dry out so quickly in the summer. I'm also using the Smart Start Plugs from Zamnesia for the first time. I'm really curious to see how the seeds develop in them. Up until my last grow, I had been using my own soil mix. There were probably too many aggressive soil dwellers in it, which cost me some seeds. Now I'm using BioBizz All-Mix because my last grow developed very nicely in it. Day 0: Prepared the Smart Start Plugs as described, widened the existing hole a bit, and inserted the best seed. As a precaution, all the plants in the house received SF nematodes and Logona's larvae of flower flies. Day 4: She's already big enough to mound, and there's still plenty of space in the new pot. Day 5: Yesterday's action didn't impress her much; the Orion continues to grow nicely. Day 6: The cover keeps the moisture in the soil longer, and I think it looks so clean. Glad you stopped by. Come back if you want to see the progress. 😎

I'm already excited to see how this continues. Day 13: You really have to change your approach to watering. The soil stays moist inside while everything on the outside feels dry. I’m wetting the entire surface with 0.6 liters of nutrients. Check back in if you liked it. 😎

The foliage has been growing the best so far. Day 16: All the plants in the apartment have received SF nematodes against fungus gnats. Additionally, the cannabis plants have gotten predatory fly larvae against thrips and aphids. Day 17: The Orion is growing strong. You can see changes every day. Check back in if you liked it. 😎

It already has real little branches. Day 24: Bent the main stem and three small branches. Day 25: Removed three leaves. The LST is handling it well. If you liked it, stay tuned to see how it goes ✋😎

According to the manufacturer (rooties dot eu, formerly Chiliwelten, formerly Chillwelten), these are the first completely double-layered fabric pots on the market. This is supposed to help the pots not dry out as quickly in the summer. I'm also using the Smart Start Plugs from Zamnesia for the first time. I'm really curious to see how the seeds develop in them. Day 28: The tips of the branches of the Orion F1 Automatic from Royal Queen Seeds are already almost at the same height. LST and the few removed leaves have obviously done it good. Day 30: The Orion F1 Automatic is already stretching noticeably. Day 34: 16 cm in 6 days, it's definitely reaching for the sky. It has very nice buds. Check back in ✋😎

Watering with all the clamps, wires, and the "fabric lid" is a bit tricky. Check back in ✋😎

This is supposed to help the pots not dry out as quickly in the summer. I'm also using the Smart Start Plugs from Zamnesia for the first time. One thing is for sure: the seeds have developed really nicely in them. This will be the new standard here. Until my last grow, I had been using my own soil mix. There were probably too many aggressive soil dwellers in it, which cost me some seeds. Now I'm using BioBizz All-Mix because my last grow developed really well in it. Day 42: The buds of the Orion F1 Automatic from Royal Queen Seeds are getting bigger, and the trichome formation is already enormous. They remain airy, and the buds are fully "in the sun" ;-) Watering the Orion in the new ROOTIES fabric pot is not tricky at all, as I thought, but quite easy. The nutrients just flow through the fabric "lid." Here, you need to take your time so that the fine fertilizer doesn't end up in the saucer. After 2 days, the surface of the soil is a bit dry, so for the first part watering, I give a smaller amount of water (about a quarter of the total watering amount) until it's fully absorbed by the soil and no water is left on the surface. Then repeat the whole thing four times. That's it. Check back in ✋😎

Happy Harvest Day!

Welcome to the end of my grow report for the Orion F1 Automatic from Royal Queen Seeds. Growing the Orion F1 Automatic from Royal Queen Seeds was very easy. It's a very compact strain, ideal when there's limited space available. Still, it developed a massive main cola, and the buds on the side branches were really fat. Unfortunately, mold formed inside the main cola; it was probably too humid during drying. Now I'm curious about how it vapes, how it tastes, and how it hits. I ended up with 26 grams of dry trimmed buds. It vapes wonderfully sweet like candy, exotic, fruity, uplifting, and very relaxing. Open the jar, and it even smells like a bag of candy a year after the harvest, simply fantastic, I have to grow it again. The Orion F1 Automatic from Royal Queen Seeds gets my recommendation for anyone who enjoys sweet smoke.

Growbody Day 83: Moon high point, end of the harvest phase, beginning of the growth phase on flower day, optimal for harvesting. It has become 190 grams of fresh weight. The buds feel firm and smell sweet. Day 93: What I had actually ruled out for indoor growing has happened, mold in the bud. The Orion had a nice fat main cola, obviously too fat. And the weather was too humid, which affected the gentle drying. 26 grams are left.

@Growbody, The photos are just a side note... what matters is the taste, smell, and effect; unfortunately, you can't capture all of that in pictures. 😋
