Week 2. Vegetation
1mo ago
trerevilo Sitting in 50% Happy Frog soil with 50% worm castings. I count weeks 1 - 4 as the seedling stage with veg continuing afterwards. For this run, some weeks may not have photos. For instances, Seeding Week 1 wasn't taken.

trerevilo Seedling Week 3 - Trying to keep them under the dome for 4 weeks when in the seedling stage. These are fast growers, so had to rig the dome to hover with garden wires. They didn't like the dome being off. I could tell by the slow growth. They started expanding quickly after putting it back on.

trerevilo Seedling Week 4 - Took the dome off for photos. Gave them a pinch of calmag at 1/2ml per 32oz (56 ppm). They didn't really needed because they're in soil with enough food left. This is a tradition from the days of using germination cubes for the seedling phase instead of soil. To be honest, I forgot that the aim was to be fully organic. I switched to the dry organic version afterwards. Get this... at this stage, they had a very strong smell. I've never experienced that before and I wonder if it was due to using bottled calmag. I say that because the next day after applying the bottled calmag, the smell was completely gone and never fully came back. Some did return, but nowhere near as strong as before. I'm not sure if I'll ever grow again, but one thing is certain. I'll never use bottled nutes or supplements again if possible.

trerevilo Veg Week 1 - These plants do not like being tied down. I recommend topping this cultivar.

trerevilo Veg Week 4 - They were transplanted nearly in the middle of last week and remained in these 2 gallon pots for 10 days. Spoiler Alert: I over vegged, so one was moved outside. I certainly could have made it work, but to be honest, I heard that nothing can compare to the sun, so we'll see. I've never had high quality smoke after a cure, so I am trying a different curing method this time. I'll incorporate the Brown Paper Bag Method. I have followed the traditional ways of curing a few times, but I've never been truly impressed with the finally product. This time I also sourced some good genetics, so I'm hoping for greatness. I'm going to see for myself if outdoors is truly a superior smoke experience.

trerevilo Bloom Week 2 - Sigh... Totally forgot to take pictures last week. Organics has been a breeze and I haven't had a need to pH the water solution every single time. That's due to testing the water with the supplements prior. I know what I'm adding doesn't require pHing. For this grow, I'm testing adding a tiny amount of bloom booster once a week. This is a supplement and not a feed. I'm aiming for 10 weeks in flower without applying an actual feed. We went from 2 gallons to a 7 gallon pot, so we should be good. I'm only going to feed if it tells me it needs it.

trerevilo Bloom Week 3 - Had some branches snap, so taped them up. It's been a long time since that has happened, however, the tape should allow them to heal just fine.

trerevilo Bloom Week 4 - No more Cal-Mag. This week, we apply Langbeinite and this should last for a month. The application used was 2 tsp/gallon-of-soil and I don't plan on using any more for the rest of the grow.

trerevilo Bloom Week 5 - This is the first week where they get more hungry and the ppms are lower than I'd thought they'd be. Looks like I'll need to feed, however, I'm going to supplement with some bloom booster this week and feed next week. After that, there will be no more feeding. One plant seems to be have a few mutated leaves. Those particular leaves curve quite strangely as if one finger of the leaf runs away from the light as the others beg for it. Meanwhile, the other plant eats the light effortlessly with no mutated leaves. These are the same strain, but you know how hybrids go. The genes that get expressed are unknown. Regardless, as long as the drying and curing is on point, they product should turn our amazing. Let's see how the smoke report goes.

trerevilo Bloom Week 6 - Not sure why this platform doesn't allow tbsp measures. Anyways, this week they were fed with 1/2 tbsp of dry bloom fertilizer per gallon of soil. This is a half dosage and there will be no more feedings. If I do another run, I wouldn't use bloom booster as a supplement in week 5. An early feed perhaps if anything. There seems to be a little nutrient burns. There's also some fading coming through, which can be normal for this week.

trerevilo Bloom Week 7 - Welp, one hermed. Fat lil seed pods are in random spots. I have learned to never throw those away because they still smoke just fine regardless of what others say. The other one is more plump and looks gorgeous. The pictures just don't do it justice. They both look good, but the one that didn't herm is going to be some fire as long as I dry and cure them right. The breeder says to take it to 10 weeks, so that's exactly what I'm going to do. I've tried all types of flowering ranges with the longest being 19 weeks of flower because another dude in my growing community did so with good results. It was decent, but it didn't knock my socks off. More than likely that's all my fault or could have been something else. It's a great story because it's so rare, but there's just no point. I don't think there's anything wrong with chopping according to the breeder. The reason why most people go an extra week or two is because it can seem like a way to compensate for a not so perfect drying and curing plan. Yes, the plant needs to finish, but I believe they end up finishing just fine as recommended. It's what happens afterwards that ruins the final product. I don't really plan on growing again. Not these plants anyway. Most likely will grow fruit instead. If this grow changes my mind because the all-orgranics, dry, and cure made them come out damn near perfect, then I'll consider it. As of now, nah. These days you can get the Delta 8 stuff strong af. If this phenomenal plant ever becomes federally legal, then perhaps I'll stop giving a shit, but it doesn't sit well with me that these dumb ass leaders won't fully legalize it for the nation. It's just a damn plant with interesting properties. Every home in the world should be able to grow it without some collective body of idiots with a negative IQs demonizing it for a whole damn country. The fact that it isn't federally legal smells bad.

trerevilo Bloom Week 8 - This is the beginning of the plain RO water phase until harvest. What some may call, the flush. The one that hermed has more of a purplish fade. The other one has some purple and more of a light green to yellowish fade. I don't really care for amber. I want mostly cloudy and it seems like we're getting there. Regardless, chopping in 2 more weeks as suggested by the breeder.
