This is a freebee seed that I got from a Seedsman order. I remember enjoying Blueberry back in the day. Looking forward to harvesting some of those chunky buds. I'm growing in a 3 gallon pot filled with Fox Farms Ocean Forest with a two inch layer of coir on top in an effort to keep the fungus gnats away. My other plants are growing in a coir/perlite mix. I wanted to grow this in soil because soil is supposed to result in better flavor and I really want to taste the blueberry.
She got a topping at the fourth node. A few couple of days later I started some low stress training. I usually get good results when I start lst. We'll see how the blueberry takes to it.
As expected, she reacted quite nicely to the low stress training. This week I did a little more lst because she's already getting quite bushy. Had to open her up a little more. The Fox Farms Ocean Forest is plenty rich in nutrients for the first month or so, so I really don't add much in the way of nutes at first.
She is super vigorous and healthy looking. I gave her a little low stress training and she responded beautifully. Two days later she looks even bushier after the lst.
This has got to be one of the most vigorous plants that I've had the pleasure of growing. She stretched like crazy over the past week. I added stakes just in case she gets top heavy. Strong looking branches though. They don't appear to need support.
Really nice blueberry smell. The smell is getting stronger (more blueberry) as it cures. Smooth and tasty smoke. A good all around smoke. I can get things done, but is also good for vegging out in front of the tv. The flavor really fills my senses.
Well, I was surprised at how easy of a trim it was. It had a very decent calyx to leaf ratio. Sticky, but not annoyingly so. I'm very pleased at the outcome. I would have liked to let her veg another week, but I had a couple of other plants that were getting tall and demanded that I flip earlier than I would have preferred. I imagine that another week or so of veg would have netted me a bigger harvest. Not that I'm complaining. Man, I just can't complain about anything with this freebee.
It is a very special plant, you know it when you smoke it :) And yours looks so clean, so enjoy full flavor !!
I coincide with you, next time i would try to let her more time in Veg, but only if you are not afraid of monsters hahaha
Good vibes
