Germination
1y ago
Multiweedtaminsaft Both seeds were placed in a canna can with distilled water and have already opened their seed coats after 24 hours. A day later, they have already formed a radicle; unfortunately, one seed shows poorer growth than the other.

Multiweedtaminsaft After both seeds germinated, they were planted in 1L pots with Bio Nova Bio Soilmix. Both plants made it to the surface after about 48 hours and broke through the soil, with the one on the right unfortunately a bit later than the other, but that was actually clear since the taproot was already lagging behind.

Multiweedtaminsaft Both plants are growing diligently, the one on the right is 24 hours behind the left but is still doing well. However, as you can see from the leaves, there's a small issue, so I gave just a tiny bit of Cal/Mag.

Multiweedtaminsaft 18.04.2025 - DAY 15 Repotted from 1L pots into 14L pots and moistened with about 500ml of water per plant. 19.04.2025 - DAY 16 One plant seems to have a genetic defect... As you can see, one leaf is large and doesn't have 3 fingers, like the one on the opposite side... Also, this one has been showing some kind of deficiency for a while now, I think potassium, even though it's the same strain. Both plants have the same soil, the same water, etc. Well, let's see what happens next and how it develops, the other one still looks great though.

Multiweedtaminsaft 23.04.2025 - DAY 20 Both plants were watered with 1 liter of water and 1ml/l of Advanced Nutrients Micro each. The one plant with the genetic defect still seems to have issues... The suspicion of a Cal/Mag deficiency remains and needs to be monitored further. It has been a bit slower from the start and showed this genetic defect on one leaf, which is why I believe this plant has a problem with nutrient uptake due to its growth and the defect, and that's why it's showing this issue (deficiency). 28.04.2025 - DAY 25 Both plants received 1 liter of water with 1ml/l of Advanced Nutrients Micro again. Both plants look good so far, but I still have the feeling that something is off with the one in the back; the front one seems somehow more vigorous, while the back one gives the impression of being limp and not really interested.

Multiweedtaminsaft 01.05.2025 - DAY 28 Both plants got a little haircut... The upper fan leaves were removed as they were covering the underlying shoots, so they should get more light and grow better. 03.05.2025 - DAY 30 Both plants only received water today due to clawing (tips of the fan leaves bending down), as there seems to be an excess of nitrogen. In 5 days, they will go into flowering, where a 200-300% stretch is expected, so hopefully the plants will end up at 90-120cm. 05.05.2025 - DAY 32 The thirst seems to be increasing – the soil was completely dry again after just two days. Also, you can now see root tips at the bottom of the pot holes, so it seems they are very well rooted. 07.05.2025 - DAY 34 Two more large fan leaves were removed from the top to get more light on the underlying shoots. 08.05.2025 - DAY 35 Both plants were watered again with about 1 liter of water per plant. The light cycle was changed to 12/12, so the flowering phase starts tomorrow.

Multiweedtaminsaft Let's continue with flowering week 2 17.05.2025 Some leaves of the plant on the right, which initially germinated poorly and is also a bit smaller overall, have brown spots on some leaves again. Otherwise, both plants look good and have a rich green color. Some of the lower, older leaves show a slightly darker, ‘greasy’ look, which seems to be common for excess nitrogen... This must improve with the next grow! Otherwise, you can already see tiny little pistils. Both plants have again been given 1 liter of water with 0.25ml/l Grow and Micro and 0.5ml/l Bloom. 20.05.2025 Today we gave both ladies a total of approx. 1-1.2 liters of water per plant. The camera also had to be hung a little higher today, as the plants are now so high that the angle no longer fits. From Thursday (BW3) the lamp will be set one power level higher, so that we will be charging at just under 800 PPFD. I hope the stretch is over soon, the last few days the two have grown quite a bit... Otherwise, both look very good and continue to grow diligently. 22.05.2025 Today the lamp was increased by one power level, we are now at approx. 788 umol / 34.0 DLI. Tomorrow they will be watered again, then there will also be a little fertilizer for both of them.

Multiweedtaminsaft Continue with flowering week 3. 23.05.2025 Both ladies were watered with 0.5 ml/L AN Micro, 1ml/L AN Grow, 1ml/L AN Bloom. The new fertilizer for the next grow also arrived today, as I'm switching from mineral fertilizer to organic. For my next run I will be using Canna Bio Vega, Canna Bio Flores and Green Buzz CaMg+. I have also ordered S&R Organics 5in1 for testing. 25.05.2025 Due to the crap weather the last few days with constant rain, I'm currently having a bit of a problem with the humidity, but I hope it finally gets warmer outside... 27.05.2025 Watered again today, this time with a lot more fertilizer as the plants are slowly turning pale and also showing a magnesium deficiency on some of the old leaves. Watered with a nutrient solution of 744ppm / 1.49 mS/cm EC, approx. 3ml/L Micro and Bloom and approx. 1.5ml/L Grow.

Multiweedtaminsaft 30.05.2025 Today both plants were lollipopped and each received 1 liter of water with 4ml/L Green Buzz CalMag. 31.05.2025 As I'm currently having a few problems with the humidity, I printed another larger light trap yesterday. I don't think the small 100mm light trap has enough air flow, so yesterday I had to run the 3D printer and print a new 150mm light trap, so I now have an extra one. I hope it helps to get more fresh air into the tent and therefore have less humidity in the tent. 02.06.2025 Today I gave them water again and as they are both getting pale I gave them some fertilizer. Advanced Nutrients Grow 1ml/L, Micro 2ml/L and Bloom 3ml/L as well as Green Buzz CalMag 2ml/L, let's see if it helps. 04.06.2025 Today the AC Infinity Controller 69 Pro was replaced by a Controller AI+. Everything is set up so far, the AI is already running and now collects data 24 hours a day and controls all devices. 05.06.2025 Both ladies were given 1 liter of water with 1ml/L Green Buzz CalMag again yesterday.

Multiweedtaminsaft On with week 10 and problems... 07.06.2025 I now know why my plants are dying all the time and always turn so yellow... The tap water has a pH of 7.4, filtered through the Britta water filter pH 5.4 and with fertilizer 5.2-5.3. Even with tap water Advanced Nutrients knocks the pH down to 5.4-5.6 which is absolutely shitty on soil, because we need 6.2-6.5 here. So there clearly seems to be a nutrient blockage, as magnesium is blocked below 6.0 and calcium below 5.8. Nevertheless, both were watered with 1 liter of tap water each and AN Micro 3ml/L, Bloom 3ml/L and Grow 1.5ml/L at a pH of 5.6, as I can't do anything about it at the moment. 10.06.2025 Both plants were watered with 1 liter of tap water, the right plant is currently causing me a lot of concern as it is showing strong signs of Cal/Mag deficiency.

Both plants are now also starting to purple. 16.06.2025 Both plants were watered with 1 liter of tap water and 1g/L Berkana (EC 1.2), as the AN fertilizer always regulates the pH value so low. Let's see what happens and whether it helps. 19.06.2026 Both plants were watered with 1 liter of tap water, the one on the right is really starting to worry me.

Multiweedtaminsaft The last time a little water about 400-500ml per plant. In 1-2 days they will be chopped and then go into Dryferm Bags. Somehow it always feels sad to cut the plants after all the time you've taken care of them and watched them grow.

Multiweedtaminsaft Both plants are now harvested and in Dryfembags… after almost 2 hours of trimming, I now have a headache from the smell and a sore back from sitting weirdly 😆 There are some nice buds in there, nicely thick, hard, and dense; let's see if they stay that way. I'm really curious about what the bags (Dryferm) can do; we'll see, and then I'll take some more pictures. Aroma: Sweet berry, earthy, pine, floral I can't confirm that right now; during the wet trim, everything smelled unbelievably like gas/diesel, far from sweet and berries... But I've somehow had that with all the plants so far... Maybe I'm doing something wrong, maybe it's the fertilizer? I don't know! For the next round, a lot will change anyway... New exhaust, new lamp, new fertilizer, etc. Let's see if it might be different then; maybe it will also be different after drying? Who knows?

Hey mate. Nice grow. I wish you good luck with it. Usually it shouldn't have potassium decencies. Looks more like an nitrogen overdose.
Multiweedtaminsaft
Multiweedtaminsaft commented1y ago
@Istjan96, But why nitrogen overdose? I don't give any fertilizers only some Advanced Nutrients Micro... And this was where the "Problem" was already there.
Istjan96
Istjan96 commented1y ago
@Multiweedtaminsaft, I thought because of the rolled in leaf tips. Potassium decency should be quite rare in this early stage, I guess . I had the same problems with my plants this winter and it was for sure because I gave some nitrogen (Biobizz grow) too early. What is the relative humidity or vapor pressure defiticite? Maybe the air is too dry....?

Hi buddy!! You're doing a great job keeping track of everything... That purpling could be genetics or a sign of stress (maybe pH swing or early phosphorus deficiency). The plant on the right might be reacting to pH fluctuations or salt buildup from the AN line. Giving it a light flush or adjusting the pH manually before feedings might help stabilize things. You're observing closely, which is half the battle, keep at it!...You got this buddy good luck🙏🌿

Interesting to see both plants purpling at the same time suggests environmental factor rather than genetics. That switch to Berkana was probably wise given the pH problems you were having
Multiweedtaminsaft
Multiweedtaminsaft commented1y ago
@JackB420, yeah hope that the Berkana Fertilizer helps and they will survive the last 4 Weeks. I think the purpling on the Blue Dream is maybe drivin by genetics, on the Barney's Farm Website there are dark nearly Black at the end. We will see, but for the future im definitly changing to organic fertilizer from CANNA.
