OnkelBonsai76 Hello everyone,
this will be my first grow report.
If it turns out to be a typical German summer, I expect an emotional rollercoaster ride.
I left the seeds in a glass of water for 2 days and planted them on May 1st.
Now she's spending her first days under LED and then it's going outside 😀

Hello everyone,
Week 1 is done.
For the first 5 days, only the substrate was sprayed.
I watered once with 0.05L, and that was it.
The fan runs 24/7 (gotta make her tough, the girl) and the light is on 18/6.
There was also the first trip outside, which almost ended in disaster (s... wind).
Let's see what next week brings 😀

Hello everyone,
Week 2 is done.
The substrate is sprayed twice daily.
I watered it once with 0.05L, and that's it.
Since day 10, it's been outside 24/7. The worst enemy so far has been the wind. I had to prop it up twice, but it didn't leave any damage.
Let's see what next week brings 😁

Hello everyone,
Week 3 is done.
The substrate was occasionally sprayed.
It was watered 2x with 0.1L, the rest was taken care of by the rain.
There was also 5 minutes of hail, and I wasn't home to move them 😞
The wind has affected them a bit and bent the stem. But that shouldn't be too dramatic 😉
Repotting into the final container is planned for the weekend, and then we'll see what next week brings.
See you next week!

Hello everyone,
Week 4 is over and it was eventful.
Due to the changeable weather, I didn't have to water.
But as soon as the wind died down, the first uninvited guests showed up: fungus gnats & leaf miners 💪
Neem oil, yellow sticky traps, and nematodes were used as countermeasures, and I checked the infestation and damage daily. Those pesky critters have really made it so that currently only one "new" leaf is forming and no leaf pairs 😠
We finally moved into the final 40L pot. The root ball looked 👌 (unfortunately, I couldn't take a picture, I needed a hand) and I think the timing was right.
The hardware store soil was upgraded with 4x "MonsterBudMix" + CalMag + silica + worm humus + mycorrhiza and covered with mulch fibers from cow manure. Right after repotting, it looked a bit sad, but the next day it was already looking much better 😁
Next week, I'll keep it shorter again 😉
Until then!

Hello everyone,
Week 5 is done. She seems to feel quite comfortable in the bigger pot. There are 2-3 leaves with dried edges. Maybe the substrate was mixed too "hot"? 🤔
The lady has now been topped, which wasn't originally planned. She didn't let that impress her and continues to grow vigorously.
It has rained enough that I didn't have to water.
Pests aren't getting out of hand either, which I take as a positive sign 😀
I'm excited to see what next week brings.
Until then

Hello everyone,
Week 6 is behind us. I'm very happy with their development.
I've tied down the two main stems a bit and am considering topping them further.
I haven't watered for 2 weeks now since it rained a lot last week and the pot still feels heavy.
I've kept the pests under control 😀
I'm excited to see what next week brings.

Hello everyone,
Week 7 is done. It's going very well and she looks healthy and strong 👍
The weather has been optimal, and since the middle of the week, I've started watering again.
Occasionally, I still spray Neem oil and change the yellow sticky traps, there's not much more to do 😉
I'm really curious to see how big she will get.
See you next week!

Hello everyone,
Week 8 is over. I'm very happy with the growth 👍
The weather was optimal except for one 10-minute heavy gust of wind. It handled it easily and came through without any damage.
See you next week!

Hello everyone,
Week 9 is over.
The first deficiencies are showing.
I guessed it was nitrogen and added a batch of mineral fertilizer that I still had left from last year.
So far, I haven't noticed any improvement. I'll keep an eye on it 😉
The weather has been very hot. Several days at 35°C and more. Doesn't seem to bother them though.
I set up a small frame and pulled the main stems a bit outward. I wanted to make the center a bit airier 🙂
See you next week 😉

Hello everyone,
Week 10 is done.
I still haven't got the deficiency(?) under control.
Maybe it was actually a bit too much fertilizer. Salt crusts have formed on the outside of the pot. I've only been watering with pH-adjusted water 🤔
So far, I haven't noticed any improvement. I'll keep an eye on it 😉
The weather has been mixed. Several days of rain and rather cool.
Thanks to the frame, it has developed more width this week and is getting bushier 🙂
See you next week 😉

Hello everyone,
Week 11 is done.
This week there was a top feeding.
It looks like her condition has stabilized. No further increase in yellow leaves 😉
The weather was okay. There was some rain and the nights were rather cool at around 14°C.
I'm not sure, but I think she's slowly transitioning into flowering. I'm curious to see if there will be any stretch and if she'll gain some height.
It remains exciting 🙃
See you next week 😉

Hello everyone,
Week 12 is behind us. We've continued to gain height, but still nothing to see from the flowering.
The weather has been mixed. July has been very rainy so far, and we've had everything except snow.
During a downpour, 2 main stems broke. I bandaged the stems with tape and secured all the main stems to the frame.
I could have thought of that earlier 😐
I removed about 20 side stems that were hidden under the leaf canopy. Now it's a bit airier in the inner area.
Overall, it looks very healthy and I'm very satisfied with its development.
It's still exciting 😜
See you next week 😉

Hello everyone,
Week 13 is over. It has continued to grow in height, and I think I see signs of flowering 😳
The weather has been terrible... Maybe cultivating rice would have been the better choice with all this water 😇
The 2 snapped main stems are growing vigorously. I assume the surgery was successful 😁
I am very satisfied with their development. But I hope for better weather during flowering; otherwise, it could be difficult to get them through without damage.
It's still exciting 😜
See you next week 😉
@birdmountain, thank you very much for the tip.
Right now, I have no idea what I can do about it, except hope for good weather.
I'm grateful for any advice 😀
@GrowerBaal, thank you so much 💙 But if the weather stays like this, I see bigger problems coming my way. I can't bring them to safety during the day when I'm at work.
