Little_Pot This is my first grow with coco coir.
I am using my standard germination protocol: 12 hours in a glass of water with some hydrogen peroxide. After that the seeds go to paper towel until they got roots. Then I transfer the to jiffy pads. After I see that the roots are coming out of jiffy, I put them into final container.
This time I had to put them into intermediate container because I forgot to order perlite :(

Little_Pot Put them into final container. I mixed 50l coco coir with 20l perlite. I filled three pots, and got enough left for 1-2.
Ladies were rather small so I measured PPFD it was around 350. Definitely too much for 2nd week, so I dimmed the lamp and increased the distance. PPFD 230, DLI 14.5
I am using a heater for heating up the tent in my basement. The temp at day is around 25 C, night is at 21 C

Little_Pot They grow steady. A little bit short, but maybe they put their energy in root development :)
Increased daylight to 20h. DLI 17

Little_Pot Reduced night temp to 20 C. Increased light intensity to 20 DLI.
They are growing rather slow. In my last grow, at that time the fan leaves were big enough to touch the edge of the pot, but in this grow they are not so wide.
Maybe it is because I am growing in coco? And with new light. First, I ramped up light to 32 DLI, it looks like they handled it without problems. So for next time - more light intensity

Little_Pot They started smelling very light. Also, the first signs of flowering are there. They still ate small and already entered preflower, not very good but we‘ll see.
I started with LST because the stems are still bendable. I would rather start with bigger plants, but ok.
They grew very slow, so I decided to read about growing in coco. My problem was that I was watering every 3-4 days to no runoff. So I measured EC of runoff and it was around 3000!
I immediately flush them with a lot of plain water and started watering every day to 20-30% runoff. One day plain, and one with nutrients it looks like the took it well

Little_Pot Banana Punch is almost in flowering now. I got some brown spots on older leaves. I think this is calmag deficiency because of coco. So I gave them double dosage of calmag, and I‘ll be adding it to plain watering too.
Did some LST, cracked main stem on Lemon Cherry, but I think she will manage it, fixed it with tape.
Did some defoliation, Purple Haze is grown the best, the others two are really small

Little_Pot They are flowering now. I got some problems with brown spots on leaves, and some leaves on the bottom are yellow. I increased the amount of CalMag, hope that will help.

Little_Pot I increased CalMag from recommended 1 ml/l to 2 ml/l. It looks like it helped with the brown spots. I think that this big amount of yellow leaves is on one size of every plant. Maybe it is light or wind burn, so I moved the led higher, DLI 45, and moved the oscillating fan higher.
The stretching is over.
Lemon Cherry and Purple Punch already show purple flowers. Purple Haze is the biggest plant, but taking her time with flowers, this is good :)
Nice choice on strains, I have the some of the same around the same age. Really nice work on the LST. I went to top mine at Day 19 and found preflower, crazy fast...best of luck to you on your journey to frosty goodness.
Thank you! I would have waited with LST until they were a bit bigger, but they were already becoming stiff because of preflower. Maybe next grow I’ll top one of the ladies to see how they will handle it :)
