Flowering begins! I placed the largest four GDP and GDPxWW into the flower tent on 4/20. On 4/26 I identified one of the four as a male and removed him from the tent to hang out with the tomatoes and peppers. In a week or two I will remove some balls and cull him. He was replaced with the largest and most indica leaning GDP, #6. At this point I am 90% sure all four plants in the flower tent are females.
The clones are still not showing any sex or even roots which is frustrating but a good lesson on timing. I may take some additional clones for breeding purposes, especially of GDP #6.
The remaining plants will go into flower today so that we can call 4/27 the start of flower. Being that we are a week into flower for the larger plants, I will be transitioning to flower nutrients, including Big Bud this week. Unfortunately due to the week separation, the first three plants will be on their own nutes, and the remaining three on their own. The nutes shown for the week will be for the first group, with the second running on the prior weeks nutes.
The four plants are under a single 400w HID, the three plants under LEDs. The first group of plants will have the advantage of CO2 injection, the second will not as temps maintain themselves around 82 which is acceptable for flower.
Looking good ... Just got done harvesting a Northern Lights Auto & a AK-49 Auto myself. I wish you the same success.Good luck with the rest of your grow👍👍👍
