Stony_German Tag 8 Flowering
Not much has happened this week. The stretch will start this week. Since the last report, she has received 2 x 2L of water with the additives listed above. I removed a few leaves that were completely covering the shoots.
Also, I sprayed a leaf nutrient with silica twice. The window for spraying is slowly closing. Mono Silica can still be sprayed when the buds are there, but I stick to what I've always done. Nothing touches my buds!!! :-)
The next 14 days will be exciting.

Greenhouse Feeding Bloom was applied as a topdress along with a layer of organic small animal straw mulch. This prevents the surface from drying out quickly and also makes watering easier since the soil doesn't become hydrophobic.
I did an aggressive lollipopping after 14 days instead of the usual day 21 in the 3rd week. Removing large leaves and pinching the side shoots were all measures to slow down the stretch through constant stress. I'm still a bit worried about her, but so far she looks good. The beginnings of flowers are also starting to form, so the stretch should be over soon. Absolutely stressful in such a small space with such a big lady in 20l of soil. It could get tight, so 🙏🙏🙏
Day 18 Flowering
I have a couple of photos showing that they are already getting frosty even though the flowers aren't fully formed yet and she hasn't even finished the stretch.
It was worth giving her a chance. So far, so good.

The stretch is finally over, but it could still be tight. I can still raise the LED by a max of 5cm.
There's nothing to report. Just removing a leaf here and there and watering with 2 liters every 2 days, that's all.
I'm mainly focusing on the larger tent; this mini grow is running on cruise control.
It's worth considering letting an auto germinate in 3-5 liter pots together with the photos, and when they move to the 120x90 tent after 3 weeks, finishing the auto in this 40x40x120.
That way, I can use the auto freebies I have in the fridge. We'll see, it's just a thought.

The stretch is over and the buds are forming with a lot of frost already. It's going to be interesting in the small space, and I'm still expecting some issues. It's worth mentioning how stable this Iced Up Cherries pheno is. I really put the lady through her paces. She handled everything and took the stress like a champ, or like her daddy who always stays cool after a doobie. No signs of nutrient deficiency or excess at all. She's happy, a bit cramped just like her daddy in his leather tiger stripe thong😁😆

The height is still acceptable. So far, everything is going very well. Frost is increasing, but unfortunately, the buds are not exactly large. It could be that the 54w is a bit too weak, or maybe the size and biomass are not enough for the weak light. And there is already very little space for this size. It's like when some sturdier ladies squeeze into too small leggings. 😆 Otherwise, no deficiencies or any signs that she's not feeling well. Since I didn't expect much from this grow anyway, everything that comes out is a bonus.
Now for the positive. The terps wow, totally fitting. Doughy and fruity. Not directly strong on cherry, but that could still come; at least it's heading in that direction. Very interesting and hardly better to describe. If the Iced up Cherries in the big tent goes in this direction 🙏, I'm happy.

The buds remain smaller but are frosty, and the terps are very interesting. Very doughy with a bit of fruit and very loud terpenes. I've already seen these phenos on THCTitans Discord. There's also talk of lower yield but top-shelf when smoking. I'm still excited, and as I said, everything that comes out of this extra run in the small veg tent at the end is another strain in my smoke stash. There's nothing to do except water well. The nutrients are in the soil, and I give my standard additives.
The values are VPD 1.6-1.7, pH 6.3, and PPFD 600-1000.

Stony_German Tag 53 Flowering:
The final phase is approaching. The buds are ripening now as they are no longer growing larger. They are small but very hard and frosty. The smell is becoming more "gassy," but the dominant scent is still raw cookie dough with a hint of fruit. Only the top buds from this lady will be dried for doobies and will undergo several weeks of curing in grove bags. The rest will be sifted for old school hash. This time also with dry ice. Until the end, only water + Calmag will be given. I expect about 2 weeks until harvest. I’m not in a hurry since the big sisters still need at least 6 weeks, and since most of it will be made into hash, I’ll let about 20-30% of the trichomes turn amber.

We are at the end of this little experiment, and our compassion for getting the lady through has paid off. Even though the buds are small, everything is covered in resin and will produce some very tasty hash and a few buds. I will dry the whole plant in a few days in the same grow tent. The trichomes are almost all milky, and the first amber ones are starting to show. In the end, she will have been in flowering for about 65 days. The whole tent will be disinfected afterward and will wait for the next run for the first 3 weeks.
Here's a little sneak peek at what will be planted next; at least that's the plan.
1. Strawberry Guava from Bloom Seeds - A consistent terpene monster that has won a ton of cups, especially as hash, rosin, etc.
2. Blue Razzsicle from Clearwater Genetics = (Now'N'Later x Mai Tai) x (Astronaut Status #24 x Dante's Inferno (Black Velvet breeder cut) very high yield with tropical Zkittles terps.
3. Chemferno from ThcTitans SquareOne Genetics that combines Chem D (Breeder's Cut) with Banana Buttercups, already hinting at the potency from extreme frost, and I don't even want to talk about that.
4. As for the fourth, I'll be surprised because we will keep the prettier and stronger of these 2.
So each gets a seed chance: Super Boof from Barneys Farm and from Ethos a Cap Junky x End Game; may the prettier one win.
That was the final weekly report. The harvest report will come only when the ladies are dried, trimmed, and sifted, and the first doobie with my test bud cut today and the first old school hash doobie has been tested.
This grow shows that after three weeks, when the little teenagers move into the big tent for the final veg weeks, I can let one bloom in this small 40x40. Of course, under better conditions than this run. By that, I mean 8-10 liter pots with a maximum of 4 weeks veg phase and, of course, precisely mineral-fed. Maybe even an automatic, but it will take a while before I overcome my auto aversion.😉
Very resiliant and strong. This was a real stresstest fpr Iced up Cherries and she handled all of it without complaining. Terps are very loud and strong leaning to Cookie Dough with some red Fruit. I can imagine Cherry but i would say red fruit mix and a lot of gassy kinda smell. Low rating is for the small Buds and low yield. I never expected a lot from this grow so i put all better nugs maybe 15g in GrovBags for a good cure and from all the rest of the plant i will make old school Hash. Smoke Report will follow after 3 weeks.

Stony_German After 9 days, everything was ready for trimming. For summer, the drying was quite good. The test smoke was potent and considering that no cure has taken place yet, it was quite pleasant. I'm going to collect all the keef and press a nice plate of good old school hash with very potent keef with the next harvest.
@GanjaGecko, 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 The genetics are worth it. I couldn't bring myself to throw them in the trash. Damn, they were so beautiful in structure. I should have taken a photo before Edward went wild with the scissors. 😂😁
@GanjaGecko, It's also a good stress test. I hope she doesn't herm, so let's wait and see. There are so many signs pointing to problems. So let's pray to the Ganja goddess Sheeva that she keeps mold away and keeps the stretch small. Many Iced up Cherries stay compact, so let's hope for the best.
The trick with the mulch and small animal bedding is really worth its weight in gold. But that's also why I switched to Canna soil, and it really convinced me; reusing it worked out great.
@BlaKX, Mulching has so many advantages. Not only does it make watering easier since the soil doesn't become hydrophobic, but the roots (feeder roots) reach all the way to the top. Also, critters love this dead layer of soil that is otherwise a few cm thick. So, in that sense, it's a waste of substrate. I can only recommend it to you. I've also worked with cover crops (would prefer companion plants with Living Soil), but I find straw much better.
@Stony_German, yeah I will definitely apply your explanations, they are something I hadn't thought of. I love the community here on the platform, thanks bro.
@love_2_grow, i'll do my best. Very Early Frost is a good sign. IÄm so happy that i hadn't kill her. Stemrub was so pungent i just couldn't do it. Hope she doesn't herm or get Mold etc.🙏🙏
@SheyTailfeather, I had to remove all the big fan leaves otherwise she would have blown up the mini tent and shot up in height. But it looks kinda strange. Looks like Edward went on a rampage with his scissor hands. 😂😁
@GanjaGecko, I talk to her nicely every day and ask her to behave, then she'll get her beloved enhancer 😁. So far it looks good, but I continue to hope that it will work out 🙏🙏
@SheyTailfeather, that’s misleading, at the moment I have no problems. I’m paying extra attention to it. With 60-65% humidity and 2 fans in just 40x40, there’s a lot of airflow. I only start to worry when the buds get thick, then the dangerous phase begins. I might be overdoing it a bit with the number of circulating fans. In the big 120x90 tent, I have 3 clip fans + the box fan in the lower area. I think the last time I had powdery mildew was about 20 years ago. Keep your fingers crossed for me, buddy.
@Hawii_ReLoaded, it's just a matter of hoping and encouraging. I only gave her one day of recovery after the defoliation and the second topping. Since many large leaves that supply energy to the main shoots are gone, it slows her down even more. I'm doing everything possible. I can still pinch (squeeze) the stronger growing shoots, but despite all that, if she wants to shoot up like yours, then I have to cut her. That's why there's a stress test in the grow name. She can also hermie from too much or too frequent stress. It'll be interesting and is actually a fun project. I'm not really counting on a harvest, but if something does come out of it, that would be great. 😏😁
The thing with the automatics is also a good solution. I had the 40x40 for the lady that differed the most in height so that you wouldn't have to throw away a lady.
@GanjaGecko, I've noticed several times now that plants with low yield have really extreme terps. The small tent without a carbon filter stinks up the whole house. Since I don't have good airflow in this tent anyway, the smaller buds are even an advantage. The photos don't do the Haz production justice. There's resin on literally everything, all the leaves and even the leaf stems. I'll try to take better photos next week. I'll cure the better buds, but I'll make some tasty hash from the rest with dry ice.
@Stony_German, looking back, the Blueberry Muffins with smaller buds were always quite intense. The empty jar still smelled weeks later as if it were full 😄. I'm glad the lady is so productive 💪🏽. Delicious hash is always a nice topping in the bag. I just made some hash from the sugar leaves. That little bit is also super intense. I recently checked out the Heisenberg drum that the guys from Growberg introduced.
@GanjaGecko, Considering there was no cure and I just smoked a freshly dried test doobie, I was pleasantly surprised. The big one that will be ready in 2-3 weeks is going to yield well and has been fruity and even more gassy so far. Great strain if you don't end up with the mini yielder pheno.
@Stony_German, that sounds awesome. Too bad the cherry doesn't come through that much. Do you get more cherry terps with the FrozenTropicanaCherry? My better half would really like a cherry strain. However, due to space constraints, I would prefer a strain that also has a stable yield. That's mainly the reason why no BlueberryMuffin is going into the tent for now. The terps are amazing, but unfortunately, there are only a few phenos that also deliver a good yield.
@Mr_und_Ms_Lue_Roots, thanks to you. The buds are small but very potent and already pleasant. I have high expectations after the cure, especially from the big Iced up Cherries that will bring a fat yield in 2-3 weeks. However, it doesn't have Cookie terps; it leans more towards fruit, which is actually more my terps.
