This time it’s gonna be red, sweet, sour, and strong – I’m kicking off my new grow with Red Tropicana Cookies (Sour Tropicana Cookies R1) by Dutch Passion! 😍🍪🍊
It’s my first run with this renowned breeder, and I’m super excited to see what this limited-edition strain has to offer.
What makes this strain special?
Even during veg, Red Tropicana Cookies shows off with slender leaves and a distinct red vein down the middle – that’s where the “Red” comes from. In bloom, the pure white buds contrast beautifully with the increasingly dark foliage – a real visual stunner! 🌿🌺
This cultivar is a cross of two powerful Sour Tropicana Cookies phenos and carries the genetics of Sour Diesel, Tropicana, and Cookie – a real powerhouse straight from the US!

🔸Okaaaaaay lets go - Madame Red is doing great, I have to say it's not the biggest but looks fit and stable. She stands right in the middle of the tent and knows exactly that she will be a beautiful Lady 💃

🔸Madame Red 💃 is still doing great, she has already reached the 4th node and I have decided to top her now...I will transplant her into a bigger pot next week. She got a good drink of water yesterday. It looks very healthy I think I will cut the very lower shoots.

🔸Madame Red 💃has developed very well this week, she was very thirsty in the 1 liter pot and therefore she got a new dress. I planted her in a 15 liter plastic pot and watered her with 1000 ml of water. The next day I started directly with LST.

🔸 I switched it to 12/12 at the beginning of last week Madame Red 💃 has grown 15 cm since then. It looks super healthy, I think a few more days and then the first flowers will be visible.
🔸 This week I watered 2 times with 2 liters each time, very light drain. So far there is no sign of the red colors but as we all know the pretty ones always take their time 😜😎

🔸Our lady is now entering her third week of flowering – and she's doing so with elegance! The buds are slowly developing volume, the white pistils stand proudly and are beginning to appear denser. The trichomes are becoming increasingly visible and already give her that fine, sugar-like shine. The leaves remain narrow and elegant, typical of sativa-dominant genetics. The reddish stems add beautiful accents – everything points to a healthy plant in full bloom. A real dance begins! 💃.
🔸The dehumidifier now maintains a constant relative humidity of 50-60%, which I am very satisfied with. It does make it 2-3 degrees warmer in the tent, but I can live with that.

🔸Our Lady 💃 continues to dance through the flowering phase – and how! The buds have grown significantly in volume and now appear more compact and firm. The white pistils are slowly turning orange, a clear sign that ripening is progressing. The trichomes are now ubiquitous – a glittering carpet of resin covers the flowers and gives them that coveted “frosty look.” The sugar leaves are also covered with crystals and have an intense aroma – a foretaste of what is to come. 🍬✨
🔸The plant continues to receive Big Bud from Advanced Nutrients, which it acknowledges with a significantly increased thirst. I now water every two days.

🔸What a show! Our Lady 💃 is now really in her prime and showing off in full bloom. The buds have swollen up beautifully, looking round and firm – almost as if they’re about to burst with resin. The trichomes have multiplied like crazy, covering the flowers in a sparkling frost blanket. Just pure “frosty deluxe.” ❄️✨The highlight this week: the smell! My grow space is now filled with an incredibly intense aroma – sweet, fruity, almost like a tropical fruit salad 🍍🍊.
🔸Her thirst has grown too – she’s drinking in big gulps now and happily taking up all the nutrients.
All in all: Week 11 feels like our Lady is right in the middle of her hottest dance routine – elegant, intense, and full of energy. 💃🌺

🔸 Final stretch! Buds look tighter and round, calyxes nicely swollen, sugar leaves glazed in frost. Many pistils are turning orange; trichomes appear mostly milky with a few darker heads. ✨
🔸 Significant yellowing of older fan leaves (especially at the bottom/outside), some intercostal chlorosis & brownish leaf edges. I think it's a pH-related nutrient lockout. She's only getting water with a pH of 6.3. She dried out twice during the hot days, so I put the sensor in, but unfortunately it was too late. 😅
🔸 Aroma is still huge: sweet, fruity, tropical—like a ripe fruit salad. 🍍🍊
🔸 Water only. Thirst has dropped a lot—about 2–3 L for the whole week. She’s just sipping while she finishes up.
Bottom line: Week 12 = calm, frosty endgame—elegant, ripe, and the finish line is coming into view. 💃🌺

🔸the last week felt like the final stretch. She’s clearly in late flower—big fan and sugar leaves have faded, gone papery, and curled in, and the lower growth basically self-defoliated. At the same time the buds are stacked and tight, flashing those purple tones and a thick, frosty coat. Every time I walk in I get hit with a loud tropical blast—think pineapple/mango vibes.
🔸Under the loupe the trichomes are mostly cloudy with some amber popping up, which tells me she’s close. I’ve only been giving plain water, just small sips to keep her cruising and finish clean.
🔸Overall I’m proud and hyped. She looks worn down the way a plant should at the end, but the bud structure and resin are on point. The room smells like summer, and trimming can’t come soon enough. Next time, definitely add fewer nutrients.

The Lady was harvested after exactly 9.5 weeks, after a few days of plain water—just small sips—and with the trichomes mostly cloudy and a sprinkle of amber, I took down the Red Tropicana Cookies. The room was loud with that tropical blast I’ve been noting all week—straight pineapple/mango vibes, even more concentrated while trimming.
I broke the plant down branch by branch, did a fresh trim, and sorted the buds. Structure is tight and uniform with those subtle purple tones and a heavy, frosty coat. On the scale the wet trimmed buds came in at ~291 g. I’ll log the final dry weight after the cure. I put everything that was annoying to trim or didn't smell good in plastic bags in the freezer.
Overall impression: clean finish. The late “water-only” approach paid off—buds look and feel crisp, resin is on point, and the aroma is pure island fruit.
I’m stoked with the look and that juicy tropical punch. Can’t wait to crack a jar after the cure and see how it really sings.

I hear some opinion from very experience grower, that co2 is the best for big growing arena and in normal tent it is not needed - it simply does not help.
