Aeromatics Goal for The Grow
My last Hyperion F1 looked beautiful, but she was hit with a BAD cold burst here in Colorado mid-grow. I think it stunted her quite a but, but I also only used a 2-gallon pot. Her yield was less that ½ oz, but the flower is fruity and delicious. I also pulled back on nutrients more than I think I should have.
On this grow, I am going to let her develop through week 2 or 3 with little to no nutrient support. Once she is established, I am going to start with ⅛ recommended dosages of Ventana Plant Science as will supplement with Stash Blend. I am going to keep the levels very low to start and will gradually progress while watching closely for over-fertilization.
Watering
I am going to be a bit more focused on watering. I started by moistening my planting area with around 500 ml distilled water and I let that dry out in the tent a bit. I will start with 100-200 ml for the first few waters and will progress to 500 ml by week 2. From there, I will follow a pretty standard progression, adding 250 ml each week as needed until she hits her stride and I can start watering 2 liters during flowering. I am going to read the plant and avoid over-watering by pushing for extra time in-between waters.
Medium
For my medium, I am upping her to a 5-gallon AC Infinity cloth pot. I mixed 3 gallons of Happy Frog with 1 gallon of Perlite. Additionally, I put 1.5 gallons of hydroton and perlite in the base for drainage. Additionally, I added 6 tablespoons of Mykos for extra mycorrhizal in my soil. I REALLY want to massive root structure with this one.
I dug a bit of a hole where I plan to put the germinated seed and added some COM Seed Starter blend.
Germination and Planting
I soaked her in a glass of water for around 18 hours and then moved her to a wet paper towel to start germination. After around 36 hours, the taproot showed some great development, but was not straight. It was definitely curved around, so I let it grow a bit more to see if the root would straighten out a bit for proper planting
After 72 hours, she was ready to go! Small hole is dug, and into the tent she goes! I will keep a humidity dome (cut water bottle) over her until she sheds her seed casing!
Hopefully this one goes well! I have seen some large yields come from Hyperion F1. Let’s hope for the best!
