Lily_Bloom Transitioning from soil to hydro. Being this gentle for not damaging the roots took a lot of time, but was definitely worth it.

Lily_Bloom Still taking it slow in the second week with fertilizing, because of the transition and increased the humidity a little more than I would usually do. Started with the first training by the end of the week.

Lily_Bloom Decided to use the same trainings techniques again and cropped the main branch again while fimming the side branches. No topping at all this time.

Lily_Bloom The fimming and cropping worked so well that I couldn’t tell which of the 8 branches would be the main one. Very happy about it and decided to keep between 1-3 side branches on each of the main branches. Muahahaha

Lily_Bloom Time to move. Giving Frankenstein a little time to acclimate in the new environment by only defoliating a handful leafs but increased the dosage of fertiliser and startet adding supplements. The name was given by a friend because of the way I trained it…

Lily_Bloom Everything is going well so far. Was thinking about doing the switch, but decided to keep it running in growth for another week, because I felt quite comfortable in handling the oncoming stretch and still increased the dosage of supplements slowly. Gut Ding will Weile haben :)

Lily_Bloom In this week I started spreading the branches again and defoliated as a preparation for the switch. And now we are ready to go! Can’t wait to see how this cultivation will work out :)

Lily_Bloom Pretty soft stretching so far. Might be because of the loooong growth stage Frankenstein went through. Especially for hydro many might say it was unnecessary. But I guess still curious though :D

Lily_Bloom It feels like Frankenstein decided to put most of its power into growing new leafs instead of anything else. I usually don’t defoliate throughout the first 3 weeks of flowering, but it was just really tough to keep the humidity right.

Lily_Bloom The pH level started dancing a lot this week. But I kept it going and it didn’t go up too high. Leaving the plant regulating itself in a spectrum has always worked out fine for me. And with the so loved Canna fertiliser it keeps the range pretty stable.

Lily_Bloom I normally work with 10 litres nutrient solution a week, filling up the tank around day 4 with 3-5 more litres. But since this is a very thirsty plant, I started preparing 13 litres at the beginning of the week.

Lily_Bloom Noticed a little late that the plant needs more water than nutrients. Burned Frankensteins tips a little.

Lily_Bloom Nothing to say except that it’s quite hard to keep the humidity low this time without extra equipment. To my defence, it’s my first summer with this set up.

Lily_Bloom Aaaaaargh :( Was trying another bloom booster this time and overlooked the fact, that the PK proportion was just too high at this stage for my nutrient solution to work well for the plant. I immediately changed the NS, but it took me a day to notice. Should have not only scaled the PK in the new NS, but the whole Ec for the better.

Lily_Bloom The wrong nutrient uptake slowed the whole ripening process for more than a week. The resin production was still in full swing and I checked the trichomes every second day, for trying to find my personal sweet spot.
