To start, I want to clarify that I am starting this several weeks after germination after deciding to add my first set of automatics to a diary.
Germinated on 3/3/19 sprouted on 3/5/19 and the first photo was approx. 24-48 hours after it first saw light.
They started out strong in peat moss pellets, curious me popped them open after 48 hours and was surprised to see an inch long tap root already emerged from the seed. They were planted directly into their final pots and placed in their little closet space. This is being grown along with a Dark Devil Auto.
I am lacking pictures for this week and next week is kind of lame too honestly but I will do better to keep better records of the plants!
Still no nutrients, I experienced PH issues for both plants that I started but the White Widow was clearly more resilient and was not harmed one bit.
This week she had her first feeding, she was topped and I started LST as soon as the new growth was long enough to tie up.
She sat that way for a few days while I finished up grow room construction and was moved under a trellis with her sister where she will remain until harvest.
4/8/19 Start of week 5 at day 35 I will be more consistent from here on out with pictures and updates. She has just started showing signs of pre flowering over the last couple days and I have continued to tuck under the SCROG, Shes bees easy to manipulate under the screen and with LST without snapping any branches on accident!
4/9/19 Did more tucking early in the day also feed nutrients according to schedule.
4/10/19 Took off a few bigger fan leaves blocking bud sites since shes indica dominant and quite bushy. Shes still stretching a bit and im seeing sings of her changing to flower.
4/13/2019 Another feed day, I always water the day before. Watered about a gallon on 4/12 and .8 with nutrients.
4/14/2019 Measured in at 26 1/4 inches to tallest cola.
4/16/19 Start of a new week.
4/17/19 Watered and plucked a few leaves off that were covering prime bud sites. Keeping the defoliation light since I have room in the closet and the lights penetrate fairly well.
4/20/19 Noticed the slightest Cal deficiency, upped the cal mag a touch.
4/23/19 Start of a new week, Day 50. Watered with plain water.
4/24/19 Fed today in cycle with all the plants.
4/25/19 Today is dry day, shes looking beautiful starting to thicken up a bit.
4/26/19 Watered today.
4/27/19 feeding day.
4/29/19 End of the week.
4/30/19 Start of a new week.
5/3/19 Watered with clean water. Nothing new here, cruising along nicely still have a bit of tike before we cut off feeding.
5/6/19 Starting her two week flush along with the rest of the tent for 10 full weeks of total grow time.
5/7/19 Two weeks left, flush starts today!
5/10/19 she looks like she’s done honestly, I can’t hardly see any new pistils, none actually I don’t think, trichomes are like 5% amber, idk I probably suck at being able to tell. Gone let the flush run it’s course and chop her on like the 20th.
Shes been touched up on trimming and placed in jars to cure, it smells beautiful! I was actually worried about it because during the drying process it smelled like cat piss, I seriously thought it had somehow molded but everything turned out incredible, it smells sweet and sour almost like a lime with a nice punch of stank.
I had the pleasure of smoking a bunch of larf after I was trimming and I was quickly found with a buzzing brain standing in my kitchen wondering wtf I was just about to do a beautiful body buzz followed quickly after that pit me back at my kitchen table where I proceeded to snap my girlfriend about how fucked up I was. Definitely a great smoke and I truly cannot wait for it to cure for some time.
This plant was a dream to grow, responded like a champ to topping and LST, I had 4 main colas, each 45-55g wet, one was 70g wet. My total wet weight is 719g!! Holy cow.
The bud its self is dense and tightly packed, while it's not absolutely covered in trichomes ot has a nice even layer that gives it a nice sparkle in the light.
I'm curious to see what the final weight will be as well as a full smoke report when it is fully dry, until then enjoy a handful of pictures.
Wow looks awesome🔥 , how much water do you exactly use for your flush and how long before you cut do you do it ? I am trying to collect as much info before I attempt my first crop .
@Ktims420, I’m giving them 2 weeks for flushing using only clean PHed water, you just water normally only eliminating any nutrients so the plant can feed off its self and use up what is stored before you chop it down.
Looks great! Mind if I ask a couple questions? What light (s) are you using? And I see you are on a 12/12, when did you flip over and what benefit did you see? I’ve got a Moby Dick xxl that never did get very tall and I’d like to get to the bottom of that. Did you do any defoliation?
@ThatoneAKguy, she’s under a Kind 600 LED, A 300 true watt, I switched to 12/12 because I have a couple photoperiods in my flower tent and I needed the Autos out of my closet to use it for Veg. She’s still growing noticeably every day probably a little slower but that’s fine. Honestly with all of my plants I do the least possible, the least amount of moving, the least amount of stress and the least amount of fertilizer, not necessarily the least even but hopefully you get the point.
I did top her which made her shorter and let me spread it open, I also did some selective deleafing, I wouldn’t say defoliation because it would be like 3 or 4 leaves that we’re getting giant that we’re blocking too much light.
Now that's some beautiful looking flowers produced from our White widow XXL auto 👌
Amazing work so far and by the look of things your entering the final weeks now👍. Another 14 day's maybe 21 at maximum left then it will be harvest time for these stunning looking flowers 👊
Please keep the updates coming as harvest approaches and thank you for doing great work with our genetics on the grow diary platform 👍
All the best ✌️
Mark..
Perfect timing if you asl me! @DinafemSeeds,
All the hairs have curled back, trichomes look right where I want them, I am extremely happy with that wet weight and I am hoping for right around 150g! Tha ms for the support guys, I'll be sure to.come back with a smoke report when shes dry in another week or so.
@CraigGrowsOK, It look like you were spot on with your harvest date my friend and some amazing looking flowers produced 👌
With a wet weight over over 700g your end yield is typically around 20-25% so I'm going to take a guess and say 140-150g once fully dry and cured 👍
I would call that a very successful harvest of some Fire🔥 looking flowers👌
Congratulations on the harvest mate and thank you for the great diary 👍
Please drop back in with your thoughts on our White widow XXL auto when you try here. We would love your thoughts and opinions 👊
All the best ✌️

@DinafemSeeds, Getting bigger every day! I am very pleased so far with her, I was thinking another two weeks or so just based off other journals but I guess we will see when she ends up being ready!
I just have one question, i havent grown Autos since Diesel Ryder/Low Ryder days. Why do you top that the auto WW? I have some memorys back in my mind that topping autos will result in less yield? but maybe autos have gone a long way since low ryder i grew 😝😂
@FavoriteCookie, well this one is an XXL so it’s supposed to be a bigger plant and it has a longer life cycle so you have more room to top successfully, I topped as soon as I could pinch the third node off which was around 14 days. So far it’s never been to early and they recover almost immediately.
Yields depend on a lot of things but I didn’t want one main cola and LST is easier when it’s topped.
