GelatoGandalf A little outdoor action for the lady. This was planned as an outdoor project but after my other girl died she will take the place in the tent.

GelatoGandalf Back in the tent and she is making some decent progress. expecting pre flower anytime now.
not too happy with my Training because it's not very symmetric but in the end what counts is that she opens up.
I had to up Cal Mag bc of the obvious deficiency. not sure what those spots are but i will keep an eye on it.

GelatoGandalf What's up friends,
this week we can see some decent progress again. I am trying to keep her low and stretch her to all sides, which also means I have to go over the edge of my pot.
She is getting 1.5 liters of water every third or fourth day. I upped Cal-Mag again because even with foliar spray every two days before lights out, the spots aren't going away, even though she looks much better.
Also, I am giving a lot of light, so it's probably better to be precautionary.
On day 25, I already added some Bloom, as I expect preflower to hit next week, and I want her to have the right nutrients available already.
Otherwise, I try not to overstress her or anything. The mantra is: one action every 48 hours. In between, I'm only leaf-tucking or occasionally readjusting LST.
D26
First pistils are here! I gave her one last round of LST to push down the over-eager tops and level the canopy before letting her stretch.
Next stop: lollipop, but not for at least a week. Until then it’s just leaf-tucking and stretch time. PPFD bumped to 550 µmol. let’s go!
D28
time to water again.

I had to bend a bit again, she’s still stretching mostly at the top nodes, but I’d like the lowest ones to catch up for better canopy coverage. If she doesn’t respond now, I’ll work with what I have and lollipop anything that doesn’t grow high enough in a few days. This run I’m aiming for an early-flower lollipop and defoliation to minimize stress once she starts building buds
D35
I lollipoped and defoliated over the weekend. There's quite the height difference between left and right but I don't want to bend her anymore. She's still very short with 25cm so I am scared I might stress her too much in her stretch if I keep going. She's getting 2 liters of water every third day. Think she's in general a bit slower but that's probably from the training.

still trying to slow the tops, but i think that ship has sailed. tilted the pot to flatten the canopy a bit. i planned to defol and lollipop way less, but the east/southeast side got so dense i had to go back in. kinda worried i’ve ended up with too many tops.
curious how much stretch is left, maybe this is about it but this grow doesn’t feel halfway yet. internodes are tightening, pistils/early buds are starting, but she’s a tad behind schedule. overall healthy though; part of me wishes i’d either not trained at all or just topped once and called it.
Always trying to be hands off until I can't. Hopefully I am not fucking around too much.
D40
she’s starting to get a bit too leafy, so i’m dialing back the enzyme-heavy supplements to push her into more generative growth. since the last defol she’s put on a lot of new leaf mass, so i want to keep the energy moving toward bud development instead of more foliage. generative = flowers, vegetative = leaves, and right now i want her in flower mode.
fed 3L today:
3 ml/L calmag
1 ml/L grow
2.5 ml/L bloom
1 ml/L topmax
2 ml/L activera
4 ml/L alfa boost
she’s healthy and happy overall, but i’ll be watching the canopy closely to make sure she stays focused on stacking rather than just making more leaves.

Did a bit more training and some selective cutting today to open things up and improve light penetration. Also gave her a full feed, keeping the balance between generative and vegetative inputs in mind. She’s drinking well and looking healthy, with buds continuing to form and pistils stacking. Canopy is still filling out after the last defoliation, but airflow and structure feel good for this stage.
D47
still late transition / very early flower. fresh long pistils everywhere, little stacking yet. feels ~a week behind, stretch still rolling.
tweaked targets: holding ~600–650 µmol at the canopy (≈45–50k lux mid-canopy), canopy 25–27 °C. vpd 1.1–1.3 kPa by day, 0.8–1.0 at night.
feeding stays bloom-first with ro water:
cal-mag 3 ml/L, grow only 0–0.5 ml/L, alfa/kelp toned down to ~2 ml/L about once a week. watering 3.5 L to 4 every 48 hours.
no more hard bends, just leaf tucks and removing blockers for light/air. if this holds, stretch should wrap next week and buds start stacking properly. rough harvest window ~4–6 weeks out

She slowly starts stacking. You might notice my nutrients changed a bit. Alfa boost and cal mag is empty and I don't plan on replacing them. In fact I am going to throw away everything that's left from Bio bizz after that grow. Those bottles are open for a year already and it's not very pleasant to work with. Cal mag from BB has a very questionable effect, had to use 5 times of the recommended Dosis and I still got spots on my leafs. Whatever.
D56
since yesterday she’s started throwing a noticeable smell and finally a bit of frost. the aroma is that familiar, old-school orange. takes me right back to something i grew as a teen. excited to see what the next few weeks bring and to see her in full flower/bulking.

week 9 started with a bit of bending and defoliation. growth is way too dense in a few spots.
opened the canopy for airflow and i'm already thinking about a bigger tent.
she's bulking nicely now: pistils stacking, first calyx swell, a touch more frost.
leaves look better with the extra N, so I will keep that up for now.
switched from fulvic to topmax to finish the bottle and keep humics simple.
running ~75k lux at the tops, vpd ~1.1 day / ~0.9 night.
D60, full Guy Fieri mode
pistils spiking straight up like frosted tips in 2003. smells loud, little bit of orange soda in the room. buds are finally bulking, frost creeping in.
did a gentle spread and airflow tune. kept light around the tops where they’re comfy, no tacoing. fed today with a touch more K and still a little N to keep the leaves from fading too fast (RO and cal-mag, bloom up a notch for potassium spots, a sip of grow, top max).
watching for the moment the “hair gel” relaxes and the calyxes start popping. that’s when we leave flavor town and head to chunk city.

buds keep stacking and the frost is finally catching up. smell is louder every day (zesty orange still). the potassium spot saga seems contained: old leaves keep their freckles, but the new growth stays clean after bumping bloom/k and easing calmag a touch. canopy is more open after the last tidy-up; airflow feels right.
holding ~60–70k lux at the tops, day vpd ~1.0–1.2 / night ~0.9–1.1. feed stays bloom-forward with a small N trickle; watching runoff volume rather than chasing EC. from here it’s just steady steering: light, air, and water while she fills out.
The 5 tops are like 30cms long each. Real chonker.

moved her into a bigger tent today. the canopy finally has some breathing room and the buds look happier with the extra space. i’ve got a dehumidifier running now too. not taking any chances with mold this late. air feels fresher and the orange smell kicked up right away.
keeping it simple from here: steady temps, gentle airflow, lights where she’s comfy. hoping the last weeks are all swell and no drama.

GelatoGandalf Not much drama. Buds are stacking but more in density than size now. Trichomes mostly cloudy, almost no amber yet. Leaves show some late bloom stres. brown leathery spots, likely K pushing its limits, but nothing scary.
Fed around 4 L with full Bloom, minimal Grow and reduced CalMag.
RH has been tricky, can’t always keep it below 60 %, so airflow got more attention. No PK boosters added, just keeping it steady to avoid budrot. Vibes overall solid, plant is cruising into ripening.

GelatoGandalf Tomorrow, d94, she gets the axe
Edit: it's done. Whole house and surrounding reeks. Buds themselves smell like orange sour candy. I guess the yield will be pretty good.
I packed some in dry ferm bags, some in regular dry age bags and the rest I tried to hang in one piece but she's too dense for that.
18 to 20 degrees and 60 to 65% humidity till dry now.
Will keep you posted after some curing.
Thank you everyone for following!
This grow turned out to be quite a journey.
Originally, this run was meant to be a simple between-grow project, something to keep the season going outdoors, without too much effort. But plans changed, and the Orange Sherbet ended up in the tent, where it took a completely different direction than expected.
She grew big and strong early on, but the LST was tricky. she didn’t respond very well at first, and shaping her the way I wanted took a lot of time and patience. It was interesting to see how she stretched and filled out later, but overall, the structure stayed somewhat awkward to manage.
Throughout the grow I struggled with CalMag and potassium balance. I tried several adjustments, sometimes with high CalMag doses, but it never fully stabilized. It’s still unclear if that came from the strain itself or from the BioBizz line, but it made the mid-to-late phase more difficult than I had hoped.
The overall time was also much longer than advertised. the breeder mentions around 9 weeks (like my LCC), but in reality this one took closer to 14–15 weeks total. What was supposed to be a quick side project turned into a long, demanding run.
On the bright side, she delivered a very solid yield. a bit over 160 g of trimmed buds plus another 50 g of popcorn, well above 1 g/W. The aroma is lovely after 10 days of curing: creamy, with vanilla and a subtle orange note returning.
However, the buds are airy, not as dense as I hoped. The effect and flavor are great, but visually it’s more on the average side.
Even so, this grow was one of the most instructive I’ve done.
I learned a lot about deficiency management, humidity control, watering and how far genetics and environment interact.
Going forward, I’ll take a break from autos and focus on photoperiod strains again. I just prefer the control and predictability they offer.
All in all: not my prettiest grow, but a very valuable one.
About drying in dry ferm/dry age and regular drying: the material in the bags took a few days longer to dry which is said to be good (regular dry was 7 days, bags was 9 or 10). initially I thought the buds from bags looked better but now in curing I can't really tell a difference, not visually and not in the nose. Let's see how everything evolves over time but honestly I am not expecting it to differ a lot from regular drying.

Solid round, buddy. Every grow teaches you something new, that’s the beauty of it. Congrats on the harvest! Guess the breeder meant 9 weeks in flower, not seed to harvest.🌱
@Qutro, absolutely bro. And new challenges already await. Actually feeling pretty comfortable with soil right now but coco is very promising.
A window of 9 weeks flowering makes sense of course, it's just inconsistent with the info given about the last FB strain LCC where 9 weeks was absolute time. If I grew that strain outdoors I would have had to put her in the trash weeks ago with the shit weather we had lol.
