Germination
3mo ago
MarcoP 16.07. - The Zerberry (7 seeds) and Pink Poochie (2 seeds) were dropped into glasses of water to soak for 18-24 hours. I have 3 rooted clones of Cereal Milk (Cookies Cut) standing in my veg tent patiently waiting for their siblings. 17.07. - Transferred all the seeds onto cotton pads lightly sprayed with water after soaking for 15 hours. While transferring the seeds, I noticed that there were not 7, but 8 seeds of Zerberry in the original Grounded Genetics package! :) They’ll be staying in a cardboard box in the corner of my veg tent until they germinate.

MarcoP 18.07. - All 10 seeds have successfully germinated and 9 were planted into 0,5L pots. They all got about a shot glass of ph adjusted tap water each. 1 Zerberry seed is not quite there yet and i will probably plant it tomorrow when the tap root is about 1-2cm long. They are now under a humidity dome doing their thing. 19.07. - Today the last seed got planted in soil. the tap root was about 1cm long but broken in half, I dont know how that happened. Lets see if she makes it. 8 of 10 ladies already broke the soil and are showing their heads. Officially day 1 of veg. :) 20.07. - One more girl broke the soil, so just one more to go! :) I’m waiting for my new grow tent to arrive and as long as it’s not here yet all the girls will be staying in my veg tent. 21.07. - All the Girls have finally broken the soil and are looking healthy. Nothing to do except patiently waiting. 22.07. - Pink Poochie #2 doesnt seem to be moving at all, she is just laying on top of the soil just like she did since she first emerged from the soil. Will wait it out and see if she makes it. Apart from that everything is going great, all the girls are healthy and growing. :) 23.07 Pink Poochie #2 is officially dead. Apart from that all the girls are looking healthy. 25.07 All the Girls are looking healthy & happy. :) Yesterday they got 60ml of water each. 27.07 Nothing new to share, girls are all still growing & looking really good.

MarcoP 29.07 Today all of them got 80ml of ph adjusted tap water each. 31.07 Everything still sailing smooth. Pink Poochie and Zerberry #1 are the biggest ones so far. :) They will be transplanted into bigger pots & their new tent soon. I topped 3 Cereal milk Plants & used the Tops to make clones. I will be deciding whether to use the 3 already rooted plants or the clones that are rooting right now depending on their size come transplant time.

MarcoP I didn't update the diary due to personal reasons. Here is what I did up until now during veg: I transplanted all of the girls to 4L fabric pots. I made a wick-watering system out of plastic storage boxes and wicks from amazon that are hanging in the water reservoir filled with tap water ph'd to 6,2-6,5 with an added calmag supplement. The fabric pots are standing directly on the hydroponic wicks. First, I did this to not have to worry about watering while I was on vacation, but after my vacation I have noticed, that the plant growth is immensely fast with this method so I have decided to keep using the system. When I came back from my vacation I noticed that the girls were infested with fungus gnats so I had to take action. First of all I installed yellow sticky traps and then I watered with SF Nematodes to stop the problem right in its tracks. Ever since then (about 3-4 weeks ago) I havent seen a single fungus gnat since. I had to sort out 2 phenos (#2 & #8) of the Zerberry due to lacking vigor / very slow growth. This is a pheno hunt and I am trying to find a keeper. Even though it pains me to have gotten rid of these 2 girls, its a part of the process. The Pink Poochie and some Zerberry phenos are very hungry. I have installed a scrog net and woven all the Plants into it so that the whole tent is filled out. The tent seems to be over-vegged to me. Some girls have slight Cal-Mag issues but nothing to be too worried about. Today I will be taking measures to ensure that enough fresh air enters the tent without any light leaks, after that, the girls will get top dressed with Greenhouse Feeding BioBloom dry amendments and then they will be sent into flower. :)
