Day 50: 06/01; soil was decently dry so watered 1.5 gallons water ph at 6.8. No run off. Noticed some roots poking through the bottom. Day 51: 06/02; took 4 cutting. My simple cloning process; *take cuttings and place in water right away. *strip leave from bottom up to 3-5 nodes left from the top. *Cut several leaves in half on remaining nodes. *Use shrap scissors to cut a 45 degree angle on the stem making the cutting about 6 inches tall now. Rough up the bottom half inch of cutting stem. *Dip cutting in honey and then place cutting in growing medium. *Cover cutting with plastic bag. *Spray inside of bag and plant once a day with water for first 7-10 days. Day 52: 06/03 Day 53: 06/04 Day 54: 06/05; while checking on this one it finally decided to show off its sex. It's a girl!!!! Day 55: 06/06 Day 56: 06/07

So this is my first grow. I mixed my growing media 2 parts peat moss to 1 part fox farm ocean forest in five gallon pots. I am wanting to grow organic and have an all purpose 4-4-4 fertilizer and my other fertilizer is 2-5-3. My question is when should I start to amend with a top dressing and how much of each fertilizer should I use? Thanks for the help and this platform.

If you have the fox farm id say you can wait at least a few weeks. And with the top dressing, I'd recommend a couple tablespoons spread on top, possibly as the plant get further along you may want to change to 1/3 + cup of dressing and then eventually change to a bloom like top dress the 2-5-3. Id start the 2/5/3 just before your flip to 12/12. And just watch for any deficiences to increase the top dress. I love the sustainable organic grows, good luck, happy growing. ✌️

Hey there I love the grow style you're aiming towards. Ive gotten so sick of everyone's habit of throwing out their soil because it's damaged by bottled nutrients, myself included. I'm moving into the reusable way, and after my grow store guys mentioned that fox farm was in with Monsanto i was a bit bummed. Since mixing my own top dress makes me a bit nervous with the measurements, I'm starting with this Mr. B's Green Trees, they're pretty similar to what you're trying to do i think. Good luck with the bag seed i hope it comes out female. ✌️

@Experimentgreen, Thanks for the comment and like. I will most likely be changing my compost brand. I loath Monsanto and anything they have their greedy fingers in. For the bag seed if it turns out to be Male I'm still going to grow it out cause I want to try my hand at breeding.
