GeezandDraht We started our first grow on August 14th. It is still pretty hot outside but we couldn't wait any longer.
Popped 3 seeds of each strain by soaking them in bottled water for 24h, then used the cotton pad methode for another 24h. After soaking, the Hella Jelly seeds all already popped open, two for Pineapple upside down cake and one of the Blueberry Muffins also did.
The next day we where shocked how long the taproots already grew! So we transplanted them using Cannakan Tweezers and eazy-plugs.
The plugs where put into a little greenhouse with dome and the babys where ready to move into the tent.
We lowered the light, dimmed it to 23% using the Mars Hydro controller, set the lightschedule to 18/6 with a PPFD of 214.
Unfortunatly the starting temp was very high (30°C). We did everything we could, putting the exhaust fan to max and opening the airflow slots on the bottom. We got the temp down to 27°C by bedtime.
10 hours later: all but one (blueberry muffin #2) have already poked their head through the surface! I guess that makes it Day 1 of Veg (17.8.25) :)

GeezandDraht All 9 plants have surrived their first week. We transplanted on day 5 into 1,5 liter pots.
The soil-mix is:
40% biobizz light mix
30% biobizz coco mix
20% biobizz wormhumus
10% plagron perlite
And a sprinkle of mycorrhizae directly onto the roots.
Watered them in with dechlorinated tapwater.
We added a AC Infinity humidifier on day 4, then took of the dome. Goal VPD: 0.8

GeezandDraht As week two is now in the books we gave the plants their first feeding and added Cal-Mag.
Maybe we should have added Cal-Mag before as some of the plants, especially the Pineapple Upside Down Cake, have shown a visible deficiency lately.
We also lowered the light to 50cm and upped the intensity to 30%, which puts the PPFD to about 400.
The VPD on the humidifier was also changed to 0,9.
We can already see some big differences between the ladys, as the Hella Jelly (left) seem to be the most vigorous plants.
The Blueberry Muffin (right) are all well developed but overall more delicate plants and the
Pineapple upside down cake (midd) all show some deficiencies and are a little behind the others in development (except pheno #2).
Lets hope they will enjoy their first feast and start into week 3 fully charged 💚

GeezandDraht Week 3🌿
Two days after the first feeding we decided to transplant into our 19 liter fabric pots as the roots started to grow out of the bottom of their 1,5 liter homes.
Substrate: 40% biobizz light mix, 30% biobizz coco mix, 20% biobizz wormhumus and 10% perlite. Plus some Mycorrhizae directly on the roots.
Watered in with 1/4 feeding and 0,25ml CalMag per liter. Everyone got 3 liters to saturate the substrate fully, no run of, just a little dampness at the bottom.
The following days the presumable CalMag deficiency got worse, as you can see at day 20 in the pictures above. We checked the PH of our soil: 6.5 and watered again with just 250ml water plus CalMag and PH down to 6.3.
Orderd a second LED for better light coverage.
I guess its best to wait a couple more days to see if they will get better soon...
Not sure if I should wait to top them until they look healthier or top soon as most of them have now developed 5 or 6 nodes.
Any tips appreciated! 💚

GeezandDraht Week 4 🌿
The deficiency problems got better day by day!
We installed the second LED (TWS 2000) to get a better light coverage on Day 23.
Day 24: Topping-Day
The plants looked healthy enough to get topped. We cut the stem above the 5th node for all Blueberry Muffins, Hella Jelly #1 & Pineapple upside down cake #2.
For HJ#2&3 we cut above the 4th to get them leveled to the rest of the forming canopy.
With Pudc#1&3 we decided not to top them to give them a chance to catch up with their new, healthy looking growth (for the first time).
Two days later the ladies looked well recovered so we did a little defoliating to expose the new sprouts to the light.
Day 28: Feeding time. The pots where light enough for us to feed again.
We watered with 500ml per plant + CalMag, Iguana Grow and Voodoo Juice plus. Ph 6,2 - no regulation needed.
To end the week the plants look happy, healthy and slick 😁 can't wait to see them grow further💚

GeezandDraht Week 5 🌿
This week we went through some ups and downs...
Starting off healthy we did a bigger defoliation on day 31 and upped the PPFD to 520 in the center.
A day later the top 2cm of soil where dry and the bags felt light. We watered with 500ml per plant plus 2ml Iguana Grow and 0,5ml CalMag per Liter, PH to 6,3.
The following days things got tricky... the leafes began to hang, especially with the bigger plants and deficiencies started to show up again. Looking like a lack of Calcium and Magnesium.
After some worried research we found out: our tapwater contnains very little minerals! We need more Cal-Mag than the bottle says! 🙈 and we found out that 500ml is not enough water.
We watered again with 1 liter per plant and 2ml Iguana Grow plus 1ml CalMag per liter.
We also noticed that some roots where already growing out from the bottom of the pots.
A few hours later the leafes started to slowly lift up again... hopefully this solves our problem and we can start into the last week of Veg. on good terms 💚
Looking great!
Just curious if you are measuring the light intensity (Photone app or light meter)? If not I would recommend it so that you can be sure that any issues you see aren’t caused by too much light.
@Anglerfish, we use an app on the ipad for that. Do you have experience with those? Does it actually work? PPFD should be about 250 on the outside and 500 at the center
@GeezandDraht,
I was using an app called Photone to measure PPFD, but I was worried that it wasn’t actually accurate so I bought a PAR meter off of amazon for 80USD. The app on my iPhone was reading slightly higher PPFD than the PAR meter, but not by a lot. I think you’re safe using your iPad to measure it.
