BudVision Hi everyone! π
Iβve just started my very first grow diary here on GrowDiaries and Iβm really excited about it. π± Today Iβm sharing the very first moments of germination and the beginning of this new journey.
For this run I chose two strains: Chicken Nβ Waffles by Humboldt Seed Company and La Bomba by Compound Genetics. Chicken Nβ Waffles is known for its rich sweet and spicy profile, while La Bomba promises a real explosion of potency and flavor.
Iβm happy to share this project with you and I truly hope it will turn into a successful and inspiring journey. Iβll really appreciate any tips and advice from more experienced growers. π

BudVision Everythingβs nice and steady β stable conditions, happy plants . La Bomba, however, decided to keep things interestingβ¦ she had some βbirth painsβ and even went through a tiny surgery π (seed shell removal). Thatβs why sheβs still the little sister of the bunch, but no worries.
Next week all the girls are moving into their final homes, and Iβm really excited to see how each of them takes off.

This week, I transplanted the plants into 15liter pots and added mycorrhiza to support better root development. I watered them only once (2 liters per plant) with RO adjusted water. All plants look healthy, and the conditions remain stable.

The plants are doing great and the conditions are stable. This week I did a light defoliation, removing only the first lower leaves, and I also topped them in the middle of the week. They handled it really well. At the end of week four theyβll be moving into a bigger flowering tent and Iβm excited to see how theyβll continue to do.
Theyβre bringing me a lot of joy and I canβt wait to watch their progress

This week I did another round of defoliation and tied down the branches with wire to open them up a bit more. Theyβve just been moved into the main tent and tomorrow Iβll be switching them over to 12/12. The plants are looking healthy and strong, and Iβm really excited to see them stretch into flower.

The second week of flowering is behind us. At the beginning of the week I did a little LST, and otherwise I let the plants grow without major interventions.
Preflowers appeared about ten days after switching to 12/12, so everything is going according to plan.
The plants are stretching gradually so far, but I think they still have time to show their full potential. At the moment, one of the Chicken and Waffles is leading at 46 cm, so I had to slightly support the others to even out the canopy height.
Overall, they look healthy and happy.

Everything went smoothly this week. At the end of the week, I did a major defoliation, and now Iβm watching how the plants respond.
Two Chicken and Waffles phenotypes didnβt stretch much and stayed around 50 cm, while the third one, together with La Bomba, reached about 70 cm.
Everything is starting to smell amazingβ¦

Another calm week in the tent. The buds are swelling nicely and carry a solid, frosty coating that looks great. Everything is developing exactly as expected.
My microscope should arrive next week, so Iβll be able to check the trichomes more precisely. At this point, CHAW #1 seems to be the fastest phenotype.

According to the trichomes, CHAW #1 is fully ripe and ready for harvest. Iβll let her finish the current watering cycle and then sheβs coming down.
The remaining chicks will still need one to two more weeks. La Bomba is harder to read for now, as not a single pistil has changed color yet, so she will likely take a bit more time.

A very pleasant and trouble free strain. The plants grew healthy and stable from start to finish with no special demands. Two phenotypes had a very small stretch and finished at around 65 cm which is perfect for smaller spaces or for growers who want full control over height. The third phenotype was noticeably different and reached about 85 cm with a different flower structure and a very sweet aroma with lots of sugary terps.
The buds are hard as stone aromatic and visually appealing. Overall a great experience and I am really looking forward to the smoke.

I harvested all the chicks π₯ and La Bomba was left alone in the coop ππ£. The aroma is sweet and spicy, hard to describe but very pleasant. The buds are dense and beautifully colored.
I put them to dry in a space at 17 Β°C and 60% relative humidity.

as I mentioned last week, La Bomba was left alone in the coop and sheβs doing amazing. Iβm just watering now and waiting for the right moment to harvest. The aroma is incredible, somewhere between a sweet profile and that loud gassy fuel, a truly unique combination. I gently spread her branches with a few strings so the light can reach the lower buds. The buds are hard and the whole plant looks beautiful.

another week has passed and weβre getting close to the finish line. I removed a few big fan leaves to improve airflow and light penetration, and I also reduced the feeding as she enters her final stage. I moved her under a 200W Lumatek in a different tent because I needed to free up some space, and now Iβm simply letting her ripen calmly.
The aroma is absolutely fantastic.

Growing La Bomba was an excellent experience.
The plant stayed vital, strong and completely trouble free throughout the entire cycle. Growth was consistent and her response to training was precise and stable, which made the run smooth from start to finish.
The flowers developed with high quality, showing dense structure, heavy resin production and a rich aroma. The genetics met expectations and proved their potential.
1am very satisfied with the final result. La Bomba showed herself to be a reliable and high performing cultivar that definitely deserves another run.
