Looking good overall! I grew in a small cabinet for a few grows and found I had to do some defoliation into flower to keep the plant from getting out of control. Remove some of the larger fan leaves, some off shoots that are going to produce really small, airy buds, and see about possibly adding a fan to the bottom of the cabinet. Fan will keep air circulation and help prevent any mold/humidity issues from those fan leaves transpiring on each other! 💪Good luck and happy growing!!

So I am thinking about doing a defoliation on week 3 flowering... what do you guys think? Is worth it? She has a ton of fan leaves that could open up a lot space for smaller sites to increase in size.

@Echevarriaf Absolutely mate!! not only will it let more light thru but most importantly it will let more air flow between the plants which is imperative for mold control So go for it my friend I hope this solves your question 😃

she is still intaking nice amounts of nutes lol but not water. Shes is at 580 ppm started at 875 about 4 days ago. She seems like she is struggling but still working. My Q is. At 47 days into flowering should i feed more ripe nutes until friday which would be 49 days into a 55-65

Root root not good in hydro. What I would run in my reservoir is hydroguard every time u change res solution out. It's pretty much a preventative to root root. Keeps them nice and pearl white. Healthy roots bigger harvest and less defecincy u see.

Hey Echivarriaf, unfortunately you have some root rot going on They look pretty brown and slimey. The challenge with dwc is to keep enough oxygen to the roots. I noticed your reservoir is running 80f. At that temperature the water can't absorb enough oxygen to keep the roots happy. You want to try to keep it below 72 to avoid this issue in the future. You can rotate some frozen water bottles to help keep the reservoir cool. I use hydrogen peroxide to fight root rot. You can add 2 to 3 tsp per gallon of 3% peroxide to kill it. Your leaves look healthy enough to recover if you can get the temp down and the rot killed. You definitely want to get those girls swelled up as much as possible before harvest. Good luck with them!

If you want to start lst her try to start by lowering the bigger fan leaf as much as possible progressively getting room for the smaller one

@WetAndSmelly, I posted a video if you could glance at it and let me know what you think. Shes smells a lil bit and everything looks and feels great like thick blades of lettuce but these burns i cant figure out?

I'm not too familiar with hydro but she does seems in good shape except for the bigger fan leafs, maybe ph is too low ? In any case they won't come back clean and all green so if the newer growth are okay I think it's what matter most. If you want reference for LST I used this tutorial from SeedtoStoned and after a couple of hour knowing your plant, what seems to be way to much leafage doesn't seems anymore to be that big of a deal. Start by beding the main stem, taking care of not breaking it, sometime giving her a day or 2 to let to branch turn up to the light can help. www.youtube.com/watch

Sounds like a mighty tough plant. Not sure about the RH or leaf issues. 💪🏽🌱👍🏼

Well I guess some are more sensible than other but if it's only 1 or 2 leaf I wouldn't be tooooo concerned. I also cannot point out why it's happening, some of her newer leafs seems pale in the inner side, have you ended up trying giving her more nitrogen ?
WetAndSmelly
WetAndSmellycommentedweek 26 years ago
Not sure why they are acting like that... Might be a lack of nutrient ? If she's growing really fast that might be it, really not sure tho. My reasoning is that the plant can't maintain healthy fan leaf since they are older and it's more focusing on newer grow. Maybe they don't get enough light, maybe it's a lack of nitrogen, Keep spraying water and use a fan to help water condense. I think light should always be as close as possible without being detrimental. Since plant in early development are nitrogen hungry I wouldn't be afraid to give her more and see what's going on. Might be another nutrient but pretty sure it's a macro if it has anything to do with the current situation first. Good luck give some news bro

Never heard if this strain. I'm intrigued. You got ton's of lovely bud sites there. Beautiful work. Keep doing what your doing and best of luck with the rest of the journey.

27c DWC is bound to give you problems. Does your air pump draw warm air from inside the tent? I used to use ice during summer to get my res temps down to 20c which I have always seen parroted as the sweet spot for inhibiting root rot and allowing fast plant growth. I would try doing whatever I could to lower the res temp and I would drop the hydroguard at this point and switch to a chlorine or chloramine solution but that's just me. Those roots look too far gone to fully recover but your plants look good and as you're already at week 6 I wouldn't worry about it.

I would prune some branches off and keep less side shots. Less risk of mold that way too. Then I would use super cropping to tame the height. Next time use a smaller pot, that will keep the height in check.
