We topped the plants once and we do lst ever since. We also defoliate them 3 times during the veg phase, which took 8 full weeks. We stick with the recommended dosages of Canna nutrients for coco and we spray the ladies once a week with Plagron's Vita Race along with Sugar Royal.
We increased the dosage of the nutrients and we start to buffer the pH of the nutrient solution with citric acid, since it doesn't influence the EC. We plan to defoliate the larger fan leaves for one last time, but we gonna keep that on hold until the end of the week, because we administered foliar spray - for last time in this grow, also. We are not going to lst further more, because we are happy with the plants structure. Even the Amnesia Haze, which is known for its stretching capabilities, barely reached 50cm! Nice comments for Gold Bar Kush also! The plants start release yet still weak, but very fruity scent!
Okay, we've completed flowering week 3! Strech is over, thus all the energy is concentrated in making buds! We have trichomes, popping all over the plants, but the scent is still weak. We tried to higher the base nutrients a bit more, but the plants didn't really like it, especially the Amnesia which is sativa-dominant. This week we will start administer p/k and amino-acids, while we keep the base nutrients levels at medium. The Gold Bar Kush plants are developing faster, but this is expected, since the Amnesia has longer flowering period. The flowering strech gave the plants approximately 50% more in height.
We combined different types of additives we use by start administering all-in-one flowering product called Green Sensation, along with Sugar Royal, only this time we add it once a week via nutrient solution. We have a lot of freshly induced air, circulating around the plants and we are happy with the RM and RH. We measured the runoff water's pH and EC and we got 6.2 ph and 2.6 EC. Smell is increasing, since more and more trichomes are developing.
The plants passed week 5 successfully and now they are in their late flowering stage. Exception is made by the Amnesia which has longer flowering period, so we had to made some changes in her feeding schedule, since we noticed some yellowing on certain places. Just today, we water her with 10 liters of ph-ed water, combined with humic and fulvic acids, along with enzymes and amino acids. The Gold Bar Kush plants (by breeder's specifications) have 10 week flowering period, so we plan to feed them 3 more weeks, then start considering flushing. Scent on both strains is just lovely! The Amnesia has fruity, lemon scent, while the Gold Bar Kush has very, specific kushy smell, along with orange tones.
1) Amnesia haze - we give her medium dosages of nutrients at EC of 2 and pH of 5.5. Because of her longer flowering we estimated that she'll get the whole grow space for at least 3 weeks after the harvest of the other two plants. Both strains we water with minimum 20% runoff. The plant releases tropical lemon scent, which is just lovely.
2) Gold Bar Kush - buds still growing in size a bit, but mostly they're fattening, producing gazillion of trichomes that releases intense and strong kushy-kush aroma with fruity tones. We pushed the EC to 2.4 and we consider that for maximum, at least in our experience so far.
1) Gold Bar Kush - the first plant is maturing faster than the other, but on the other hand the second plant is developing much bigger and obviously heavier buds. It is almost sure that they won't be ready at the same time. We expected the the 'bigger' plant to be ready after the 12th week of flowering, while the other maybe around the 10th. We keep steady EC of 2.2 and pH of 5.5. Every other watering we administer amino acids and some molasses.
2) Amnesia Haze - interesting enough she is maturing much faster than expected! We have tide, typical sativa buds, covered with trichomes, releasing nice fruity and tropical aroma. 2.2 EC seems to be alright and the pH definitely shouldn't exceed 5.9. Next week we will upload the first trichomes pictures, taken from microscope. Peace!
Flowering for all plants is at its peak! The plant in the front (Gold Bar Kush) is ready for nice, 1-week flushing, We fed her one last time with heavy dose of nutrients, After the substrate is dry enough we will start flushing with plain, ph-ed water. The plant on the left (the other Gold Bar Kush) will be ready in 3 weeks. The plant on the right (the Amnesia Haze) suprise us a lot with her fast flowering,
The strain is easy to grow and maintain. It's rewarding too! We ended with a lot of buds which we cant wait to weigh and taste. During the veg we kept steady ph of 5.8, and we lower it to 5.5 during the flowering. We were gaving medium dosages of nutrients and we didnt pushed the EC more than 2.2. Comments for taste and the high itself, will be given later on.
